  1. So I don't know about any other class, but regarding Assassin/Shadow in PvP I feel that it's underpowered in terms of Survivability/Anti Root/Off GCD DMG ability, not quite sure how to call it. I main Shadow/Assassin since Beta, played 8v8 in Reality Check TRE, played S1 to S3 All-star. I came back to game this Season, did some PvE and PvP (YOLO and proper TR, 248 Augmented). In PvE I didn't find any problem I was very happy both with both DPS specs. I consider myself a good Shadow/Sin Player I know theorycrafting behind the class and rotations and some know hows. But for PvP something feels wrong, when fighting all other classes they are right in your face and tanking damage while doing damage to you then Healing back to full and I feel rooted all the timed having hard time closing distance. Also lot of times against other Melee classes I find that Stuns are useless and don't work. Still I always find myself lagging behind in terms of DPS in WZ and Yolo, in TR is not as bad. But it's really bad in Yolo and Regs. I find myself having to Kit as Range class to avoid damage and wait for my CDs to come off and I am even spaced in all DMG reductions, Absorptions/Reflections. and I understand other classes CDs too when to not dmg, when to stun etc... I think the main reason for this feeling of powerlessness than is because all our Defensive CDs are usable when not stuned compared to other classes and new roots, new cds, stun immunities from other classes Especially since all other classes now having Anti-Focus mechanics and Heal to full mechanics where you have too long of downtime to do anything. While Sin have to Vanish away to lose Aggro and cannot Tank damage, while having possibility to be broken away from Vanish. So therefore making Shadow/Sins CC less useful. I think that there are couple good options how to deal with it. Sin/Sha for PvP would merit a lot from having Force Speed Root immunity Utility Point together with Force Speed DMG Absorption rating. or an Off GCD Damage ability that triggers our Surging Charge on standard CD or Off GCD Vanish when specced into Force Cloak with Vanish. I really feel that for PvP Ranked except for Sorc/Sage I don't feel like we have lot of margin for error compared to other classes.
  2. I like the uniqueness of every class having their own thing. I wouldn't mind though for Adv. Class to be able to go between their own class weapons to chnge their Main Class. Example: Sith Inquisitor can either equip Double Bladed Lightsaber to change his role to Assassin or just normal Lightsaber to change to Sorcerer. Do the same with other Classes. I mean with this grindy and RNG equipment fest, it\s hard to gear ALTs and annoying at times, so they need to fix the gear reward system or enable Adv. Class change. and Main classes have same main story lines, so it could be bit boring leveling same class again. I think that would be cool even if they fix the gear system, makes it bit more fun.

  4. Hey There should be a mission terminal on your ship. The same one where you pick up the Oricon and Makeb missions. If there's nothing there, you could also try going to the Dropship Hanger to start the Forged Alliances bit, which is PreLude to SoR. Cheers

  8. Leveling in SWTOR was ever hard or challange?! Don't make me laugh! Instead it actually got harder, only that companion got Overpowered so not it's easier. Otherwise HC and FP are scalable now to amount of people. Personally those were solo-able even before update and way before, for some classes and more for other. I cannot remember how many times I could not find group for HC, mostly 1 guy otherwise no on wanted to join. So I soloed them, mostly on all classes or did in group of 2. If you want challenge just play PvP or do Ops. Instead they made HC and FP more accessible for people, leveling more streamlined and now you can go back at higher level to do the content you missed. Otherwise Heroic are part of side content not main story, so it's optional. Clearly after all I wrote, you should be able to see that this have more positives over negatives for majority of community.
  9. It's all supposed to be set at Defualt and just like what you wrote. You get no option to choose anything and it's defined as you didn't romanced the characters. Only thing I'm not sure is alignment, I guess you would get Neural or the side you currently on (Dark Side gets Dark Side alignment and same with Light Side). You get no credits, but you get your 3 crew skills maxed out at 500. Force Users get Synthweaving and co-responding gathering/mission skill. All rest get Armormech and co-responding gathering/mission skill.
  10. Did you check your FPS at the time whenever your NPC uses an ability. Pressing Shift+Ctrl+F will show you FPS (Lowest FPS in last couple of seconds) in your Left bottom corner of the screen. You could also check/troubleshot your Drive on which SWTOR is intalled on for Errors and speed. As well your connection, if its not an latency problem. It's kind of hard to determinate what is the issues, since there could be many, so you need to troubleshot it one by one.
  11. If you started KoTFE already, then you cannot back to previous Main story missions. (As in accepted KoTFE mission to go further). Otherwise if it's something else, then you should be more precise and ask Custerm Service bout that,
  12. I agree they could have made it more intuitive. You need to type in any name in the box in the bottom, click the icon on the right of the box and click Apply. Then it comes up on the list and to the right of it on the list you have also an icon. Then that's that.
  13. Taken from Patch.Notes 4.0 Mission Changes Story Missions Class Missions, planet story arcs, and certain Flashpoint Missions are now classified as Story Missions. Story Missions are easily identified in the world, on the map, and in your Mission Log by their purple Mission icons and text. With the Leveling Adjustments made in Game Update 4.0, Story Missions are the bare minimum that you need to complete in order to level from 1-60. SO you can check what type of mission in your Mission Log, cause some of them maybe Flashpoint other Main Story. But generally all those missions lead to future lore thats going to be present at some point in main story.
  14. I guess only Devs would know answer to that Question. Otherwise I think maybe they gonna scale End Levels to the episodes they release and it sounds kind of lot XP just from that. So it's possible they might scale that back as well as other things in game. It's just after the EAC, they probably will find lot of things to correct.
  15. Did you check your Windows services. Usually just msconfig and check if BitRaider its on, if its off turn it back on. Otherwise you can also access services by running services.msc in Search Program or Windows Run. Same search for BitRaider and check if its on. Nice to hear that you managed to solve your issue.
  16. Sad to hear that. But except know bad performance the engine have, it's not possible to get performance out of nowhere. If your laptop is not good enough to run it from get go, not much will help. Even newer generation hardware have some problems running this game. Otherwise you didn't provided any info about your Laptop hardware so I cannot give you objective response about how your laptop will handle the game. Because just lack of those information.

  19. That's true I read it after 10th August (in October) and just like me, my friends also got the idea. That subscribing will give us EAC if we choose to subscribe anytime from this date to that date. Well therefore there are Terms and Conditions, so I cannot say they mis-advertised or scammed us. I guess what we can call it a intended or not marketing tactic and T.C. makes it all subjective.
  20. I subscribed by 18th, read the Early Access description and totally thought that I would get EAC. While subscribing was reading up on KoTFE on the Main Page, after that gone down to T&C to read up on it. It said that I needed to be subsribed thorough all the rewards. Opened up KoTFE FAQ page to confirm that, same thing written there. I just thought that's a bummer and in mean time I can finish up other games and do some Datacrones runs etc.... Otherwise the thing that crossed my mind was that well EA could have phrased it better at the main Rewards description. Since it did make me think that I just needed to be Subbed at any point, many of my friends thought the same. The T.C. not being hidden at the bottom of the page and otherwise not being feed wrong information by an actual article that I searched on News Google. Which even the site author thought that you can Sub at any point to get the EAC, which afterwards made me laugh instead. Since because that stride of coincidences I managed to purchase 2x 60 days Gamecards only for 8 Euro from my Online Local Shop that was closing down. Because knowing EA practices and that they are usually not very transparent and want lot of our money, more than other companies and by that usually sacraficing user-friendly idealogy. They could wanted for it to be interpreted either way so people would Subscribe, because of Hype. But we won't ever know the guidelines from EA for the guy who wrote the Description, cause its probably under NDA. So until they won't come out and say that we didn't phrase it well enough etc... It's our own fault for not checking T.C and FAQ. before purchasing and blindly hoping for it to go our way. So all the points both sides (You folks) make are acceptable, it just that its all Subjective. Because we won't know whats going in their heads and what they intended for. Like I wrote until then, It's our own fault for not anticipating this and reading TC. and that article fault. Cheers
  21. Get over it. Level sync is here to stay for now and it has more positives over negatives. Actually what you mention does not make even sense and its subjective. To me it look like a Gold Farmer whining. Anyway it's still easy to kill other players outside WZ, if you are down-synced. I mean it just gives them a slim chance to win against you, if you are really bad. Otherwise regarding Mobs, I don't see problem instead of 1 hit all, you need 2 or 3 and they aren't any threat. Until you aggro 3-4 groups and at least 4 strong Mobs, still then with Def CDs its easy to get away from them. Otherwise killing them is still easy, I mean I soloed w/ companion total of 5 tFP since Yesterday. Because I thought they are like HC+2, until I saw description 4 man Group recommended. Still managed it.
  22. It's not his own fault. I'm of opinion that the description on the first Main Site of KoTFE was done by EA intentionally. Looking at SWTOR Dev team previous practices, they are never transparent with any new content and plans, as well most thing regarding money. So it could had been intended to intercepted both ways, so that people think you can subscribe at any point and still receive the Early Acess. "Early Access AUG 10 - OCT 19 Choose to be a Subscriber from August 10 to October 19 to receive the Early Access Bonus Reward!" You could easily interpreted this both ways. To be subscribed anytime between or all the time from til the end of. Since only in Terms and Conditions and FAQ for KOTFE could you find out that you had to be subscribed throughout all the reward checkpoints to receive Early Acess. Technically its not a mis(leading)-advertising since it was written in Terms and FAQ. Yes, people could read that etc... But average person would not bother reading terms etc... Especially when they are hidden from sight, taking that into consideration. It's just means that it was done so intentionally. Since if they would want people to know for sure they could include that information somewhere easier to notice or instead of that description in the box. SO some fanboys now says its those people own fault. Well this is an anti-consumer practice which should be not happening. It just shows how EA is not transparent and wants to milk money from people. All their games and DLC shows that. Just stating that, because it been the case with this game since its beginning. The Devs are just on disppatch from EA. I didn't had the problem, always read the terms for rewards etc... especially from EA.
  23. I hope BW will implement some safe-checks for SRWZ soonish. It really is necessary to do so, otherwise we people are annoyed because the possibility of winning and gaining rating is influenced by the failed system and we people don't like to lose because something is unfair! I wouldn't have problem losing an Arena and rating if it was deserved loss, but the way randomness and lack of safe-checks impacts rating and losing is just irritating, that's why so many people are annoyed by it! I like how the 3.0 Disciplines is aiming for that aspect too, people won't be able to Skank-Heal or Skank-Tank in 4v4 DPS SRWZ. Still you should continue that trend of implementing more safe-check BW. Also the game should reward with wins the player who plays and plays better than others. Rather than punishing them for playing better than others. Next on the list should be: 1. Firstly When in SRWZ one team !begins! with less than 4 full players, the timer should be "stopped" and that team with less player should get a back-fill from the people that are queueing. It should only be a player with the same role as on the opposite team, example if a team is lacking a DPS, that team is getting back-filled by a DPS. If a team is lacking a Healer, it get back-filled by a Healer. Not otherwise since it would again cause an unfair environment. If system cannot find a player to back-fill then the SRWZ Arena should be aborted, since it's fighting a losing battle. Otherwise if it's not to be aborted the team with less player shouldn't lose rating, that's just not logical and unfair. Regarding aspect of players quitting in middle of the SRWZ Arena, I will cover that later below. With same importance you want to implement a minimum amount of Expertise required to queue for a SRWZ. That should be set at 1900 EXP to be able to queue for SRWZ, otherwise there are just to many people, who intentionally lose or enter just to get rewards without trying! 2. Secondary I would like you to understand that for "Trolls", it doesn't matter if they lose rating. Also to prevent win-trading in game, cause that happens some times too. Punishing players who quit in middle of SRWZ Arena with loss of rating is not enough. They should be given a warning, and after 2 warnings they cannot queue for the SRWZ for X-amount of time! * If a player quits in middle of 1st round, he should be punished and get a warning and the team with less player should have a time out to wait for a new player to join. * If quitting in middle of 2nd round while alive, that player should be punished with rating loss and get a warning. * If quitting in middle of 2nd round after getting killed by other player, no punishment and no warning. A player who types "/Stuck" inside a SRWZ Arena (while he still have possibility of winning), doing it once - he gets punishment of rating loss and a warning, doing it Second time - he gets punishment of rating loss and cannot queue for X-amount of time. * Regarding player who get backfills the team in 2nd round, he gets half rating loss for a loss and normal rating gain for a win. Like I wrote before, people are irritated because the system affects the results sometimes. Also that it doesn't rewards good players in some aspect, instead it punishes them! P.S.: It just my try at making this SRWZ work better, since as a PVP'er there isn't anything else to do, when TRWZ is dead. Also "BioWare" Devs, do not send me to some other thread, just take it the way it's written and think about it!
  24. On The Red Eclipse, there is surge in SRWZ and TRWZ, when rewards are announced, tiers or those kind of things. Though even in this case it takes on average 10-25 minutes to get a pop for SRWZ and around 20-30 min to get TRWZ pop. When there are no surge in interest, it takes quite long for a pop, anywhere between 20-60 min or its completely dead. Then you get Trolls, Bad Geared people and 3v4/2v4 when you lose rating..... I think the 1650 is quite high rating to get to in Season 3, I'm currently at 1600 and nearing to 1650. But it's lot of pain and annoying since I would be there already, but the last couple Arenas got grouped with people who were /Stuck'ing or Bad Geared.
