No you're certainly not alone TC. I just made a topic about this. Leveling is no utterly out of balance, especially for those of us who LIKE leveling content.

I've been playing TOR since before 2.0, and one of the things i enjoyed the most was the leveling combined with story. I liked how it was a reasonable challenge to level solo when relying on companions, and how Heroics actually required groups and coordination. I was working on another toon when 4.0 was released, and since then I feel the leveling process has become much, much too easy. Since Heroics are now soloable even without using CC, and the general mobs die in one or two hits, its just no fun anymore. I think the level-sync is a great idea, but making the mobs and content even easier is making leveling boring. The combination of easy mobs and higher EXP gains means you will probably hit Lv60 before finishing Hoth or Belsavis. I know some people are very story-focused and I can appreciate that, but for those of us who enjoy the story and leveling equally, do you feel that leveling is now is too easy? Edit: Additional: I'm also not sure I like the 2-man FP option either. Surely there should be an option to play the FP in their original state for those who want too? And I know the companions are currently extremely overpowered, but that's been addressed in a dozen other topics aswell. I think they need significantly toning down, aswell as the mobs being beefed up.

Thanks guys. Guess I'll start on carnage/Combat and try others if I struggle. And as I mostly play tanks in operations, I know just how squishy Marauders can be, so I'll be careful. Frankly I really want to run Scourge, but Treek will probably do aswell. As for crew skills: I'm a profiteer, so I always run slicing+one other on my toons, and buy what I need rather than crafting. Lazy to the core I am.

I've run every class in the game including the marauder, but I haven't played my Mara since before 3.0, and therefore I've decided to run a Sentinel. However, I'm struggling to figure out the difference between the different specs available. Usually, its pretty easy: Tank/Heal: DPS: DOT, but the Sen/Mara has 3 DPS specs. Can anyone please write a short summary of each spec, including the Sen/Mara equivalents? Strengths/weaknesses etc.

This is a good idea, might have to try this. Or, I can just be lazy and wait for them to nerf it into the floor.

Thanks for the suggestions, maybe the stacking is a better idea. Maybe run the guys through TFB NIM etc to get a better feel for tight enrage timers.

I'm in a guild currently trying to do TOS SM right now, but we're hitting a roadblock on Underlurker. Specifically, the adds are difficult to kill before the Ragestorm mechanic forces us to hide and move, then the cross comes and DPS is further reduced. We can usually get two down before the Ragestorm starts. We're all decent players in 186-192/198 gear. I understand that lots of people have completed this operation, so short of spending months getting all 8 of us to 198 gear, can anyone suggest strategies for maximising DPS? Specific classes that might be useful, or tricks that can help us squeeze more DPS out while running around for the mechanics? Thanks.

I'm not sure it is related, but: I was going to do a full uninstall, but I found TWO TOR programs in my Windows-Program list. One was some kind of BitRaider sub, so I removed that first, then decided to try TOR again. The lag certainly hasn't stopped, but it dramatically improved. I'm not sure what Bitraider actually DOES, but thought this might help a few people.

Since 2.8.1 I've been experiencing massive server lag, the game has been effectively unplayable for over 90% of the time. I was able to play an hour here and there, but I'd eventually get lagged off the server and unable to log back in for hours afterwards. I've been digging around, but can't find much mention elsewhere. Has this been happening to anyone else, especially since 2.8.1?
