  1. How about you get over people expressing their opinions? Hey, if you want to keep your cumbersome transitions be our guest. Hopefully BW can accomodate us, and allow you to "role play" going through the hoops and hurdles that lost their intrigue and neatness the 100th time through. That sound good? Let us have a more condensed travel system while you frolick through the cookie cutter orbital stations?
  2. Pray do tell, where is the "RP" in that lengthy transit? What... toggling the elevator button? Really? Also, FOR YOU it is one minute perhaps - for others that's not necessarily true depending on their computers. But please, enlighten us as to how this whole cumbersome transition through cookie cutter air locks, space ports and orbital stations is "immersive" and essential for RP. We're waiting....
  3. Says a "tuff boi" on the Internet. Amazing how I never run into you people IRL. /yawn
  4. I'm sure they'd have a blast playing Zork on a Commodore 64 too.
  5. I've said it before and I'll say it again, an MMO's worst enemy is the fanboi. They not only do not provide criticism that could be beneficial to the game's success, but they're also responsible for driving some people away. I know they'll say they don't care... seen that before in DDO. *snicker-snicker* But when the money dries up, and the updates are fewer and farther between, they can QQ their li'l hearts out knowing they helped contribute to that. $15 adds up... they wouldn't have spent $150-200 million developing the game if it didn't.
  6. No. - Too linear - Sky boxes - Mind-numbing amounts of instance loading - Too many bugs - Cookie cutter space ports, palaces & buildings - Irritating obstacles in building designs and terrain that force you to run/walk further in an apparent attempt to make the world seem bigger - Feels plastic - No mods - No customization of interface Honestly, I could go on and on. No one thing is a deal-breaker, but the sum total has left me completely turned off and bored with the game. The -only- thing keeping me here at the moment are my guild mates.
  7. Yeah, that isn't happening at all in TOR...
  8. Oh yes they do. Experienced it myself.
  9. By your logic, he's actually justified to complain since LOTRO offers an hour heads-up.
  10. Aww, what'sthematter? I huwrt yur li'l feelins? Poor li'l thing. Anyway, I didn't cry; in fact, I didn't even complain except to support the idea that they could, indeed, give up to an hour in-game warning. Now please, go make your own emo "JUST LEAVE BIOWARE ALONE!!" YouTube video and let the big boys discuss. kthyxbye.
  11. Indeed, quite a few repliers here that need to L2R.
  12. How about you fanboi trolls put your own big boy pants on and stop emo-ing everytime you see a post you perceive as critical of your game? There's nothing wrong with him suggesting we get more than a 15 minute warning before servers go offline. In LOTRO they usually gave you an hour notice. That's pretty helpful if you're about to take on a raid or in the middle of an instance. One hour heads-up would be nice when it's non-critical.
  13. If I could make a suggestion... you really need to edit your post. You're never going to get feedback because most people don't read the Great Wall of Text posts. Just a tip.
  14. That's not "sarcasm", that's just complete and utter ignorance. How does eliminating a few load screens "destroy server communities"?
  15. Can reverse engineering blue or purple item drops result in an equivelant recipe? TIA!
  16. I'm guessing they do take those threads down quickly as I haven't seen any. However, I think it's a bit of a shame... as I said in my post, the fanboi is an MMO's worst enemy. And when I say "fanboi", I'm not refering to those who are simply fans of the game, who love and enjoy it. I'm specifically referring to those who flame and bash even constructive criticism and repeatedly post ad naseum, "can I have your stuff?"
  17. Show me. I don't see a single thread devoted to fanboi-bashing, but there's scores of threads made by fanbois trashing and trolling people with legitimate concerns about the game. I can at least appreciate someone with a complaint about the game, whether I consider it serious or even a tad bit silly. However, bashing people because of their concerns or issues I cannot understand, nor relate to. Critics can help bring attention to concerns and issues that improve the game. The fanboi adds nothing to the game, outside of actually encouraging people to leave the game by grieving them.
  18. So... you decided to create your own whining thread about other whining threads?
  19. Not to be nit-picky, but I believe the actual percentage is thirty-five which, presumably, EA will go on paying LucasArts indefinitely once EA earns back the development costs. I agree with you, it's not the rosy picture the OP wants to paint at all, particularly if three-fourths of the subscribers cancel their accounts as he cavalierly claims.
