  1. I tried to reverse engineer my ship's droid, but no luck.
  2. Agreed, and no worries. I'm already burning out leveling up a second character. I could actually be playing right now, but posting on the TOR forums is about all the interest I can muster up at the moment.
  3. Well, you could have at least typed "McLuvin". I hear your pain though.
  4. I believe you misunderstood me - I actually agree with what you're saying. I was talking about the poster who claimed that WoW---not TOR---was linear.
  5. I think it does need more time to mature. However, considering how long it had been in development, and this is what we have to show for it, I'm a tad bit concerned. I'm hoping for much success though.
  6. What's sad is you posting your old SWG toons in your sig. Move on already.
  7. Same here regarding Tabula Rasa. As for TOR, I think the Star Wars fan base alone will be more than enough to keep TOR going for a long time. Unfortunately for me, though, I'm already growing bored leveling up my second character in this linear format. Oh well, even if I cancel I'll be keeping tabs on TOR developments in the future. I really would like to see this MMO succeed. But, given the amount of time this game has been in development, and what it has to show for it thus far, I'm a bit concerned.... for my sake anyway.
  8. I shook my head when I read his post. Some people post absolutely rediculous and false statements just hoping the truth goes unnoticed I guess. Seen a lot of that here.
  9. Now there was a game a really enjoyed. Well, at least for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I'm beginning to fear I might end up saying the same about TOR in the next couple of weeks.
  10. Why don't fanboi trolls such as yourself shut up if you have nothing to add to the conversation? You know, constructive criticism is actually a -good- thing. This is something Bioware should look into, and it is legitimate to wonder why they couldn't have implemented a better system from the start... it's not like they had to reinvent the wheel - they had other MMO's such as WoW, LOTRO, etc. to build upon.
  11. Yes, I wasn't expecting that fight either and didn't bother to rest beforehand, but managed to make it through while only losing about another quarter of health.
  12. As I'm standing on the bridge of Lord Angral's battle cruiser looking at him awaiting me, I reflected back on all the posts I'd read on this forum about various encounters with him - the pain, the 20 deaths, the frustrations and gnashing of teeth. I was actually very nervous about the impending fight, particularly since I never play with Kira and had to adjust my play style.... a lot. Not to mention she wasn't exactly well equipped. In fact, I had to use a med patch while fighting my way through the peons enroute to the bridge.... this was not looking good! I want my droid!! Finally, deciding to get my first death over with so I can gleam some insight into what I will have done wrong, I charge. About 30 seconds later I'm standing over his corpse with 3/4 of my health left, and even Kira survived with half her health intact. You guys scared the hell out of me over that?! I can only assume that most people having trouble with the encounter are not using their interrupts against Angral. He got lucky and got one of his skills off, but the rest I interrupted. I never once had to use a med patch, and think I used only one defensive skill the entire fight. I had, however, popped a strength stim prior to the fight. As long as you are equipped well (really, you're wearing 9th level bracers still?), and Kira is just adequately equipped, you should do fine. Just make sure you're interrupting his skills, watching your health and hitting him with everything you've got and you'll do just peachy, mates.
  13. Thanks, guys. That's what I was starting to think as well after playing around with a couple of them. I wanted to be sure though... no sense trading in all my commendations for new sabers when I just need to get new mods for them.
  14. Does Orange Gear Have Any Inherent Value? Or are the item modifications the only values calculated? I guess what I'm trying to ask is if an 11th level "orange" item is no different than, say, a 40th level orange drop - minus any mods? TIA
  15. Congratulations - you have failed the Internet. You, those who are incapable of processing the point of the OP, and those simply trolling because they got beat up in school a lot and find the Internet a safe place to get payback without repercussions, should sign out of TOR and go play Hello Kitty with Butters. Look, I love the game, and though some of the products sold under the advertisement of Deluxe Edition are not what they claim, I'm not going to do anything about it. However, to say to others, "har har welcome to the free market/capitalism" (and those people need to OCCUPY a classroom) exposes you're absolute ignorance. Technically, the OP is correct. In fact, Origin has violated the Lahan Act, 15 U.S.C.A. § 1125(a) and the Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act. You -cannot- advertise one thing and provide something completely different. That is fundamentally against the law in at least 44 states. Also, the people suggesting the OP and others are whining that they didn't receive "god" items have also failed the Internet and must cut their DSL lines and go stand in the corner till after Christmas. They wanted their VANITY/FLUFF item - not some uber piece of gear. So what if the "pet" droid only did .0001 damage to the mob every 300 seconds? Some people just want that image on their screen of that li'l robot zapping their enemies. Try actually reading next time... it's FTW.
