  1. I have certainly seen options that, for example, let me kill or not kill a certain NPC. Now that may still lead to same end of the mission line or not, but how a mission closes, like this, is different based on you choices.
  2. Whats so hard? Have whatever Barrel, Hilt, Mod, Enhancement, Augment, etc in you inventory. Go to character sheet, find equipment with the lowest version of that item. Ctrl Right click the equipment, see if the item in your bag is better then the one in the equipment. Replace, remove or leave alone, up to you.
  3. I read most of the responses to this thread, and for some reason this one finally made me realize something that was brewing in the back of my head. Why do people not group up if the game doesn't require it? Because they do not want to. Why do people love games that FORCE you to group. Cannot you group anyway? Must the game force you to?
  4. I would modify that to first the Heat Bypass skill first, then just 2 Tracer Missiles (should have 5 heat sig at that point)-> HeeatSeeker Missile -> Unload -> Tracer Missile x3 (now have unload proc and 5 locks)-> Unload-> Rail Shot When facing tough group, start with DfA, hit one mob with Concussion Missile, use the other dual blaster skill (forgot the name). When you get down to the one or 2 toughest mobs, convert to single target skills above. Of course, we have a stun, a reset with a heal of the stun skill, a HoT, an armor bubble, etc. All our skills have there uses, think on your toes.
  5. There is a known bug in the Crew Skills screen. Here, and only here, stat changes are reverse of what they are suppose to be. Nothing wrong with the items themselves, just the stat change display and only when you are viewing it from the Crew Skills Schematic. Is this what you are looking at?
  6. I agree and disagree. First, I agree that it "feels" as you say it does. But I do not think it is the quests being linear that is the cause of this feeling. Its the maps themselves. If they changed nothing by make the maps have less walls, then I believe this feeling would disappear.

There is a reset to the Shock skill that could get used, a HOT skill, other heals and cures, a shield bubble, etc., that all get used. But, all you see us doing is TM, very observant of you. I use as many of the heat reducing specs and skills as possible. I also am not afraid to slow my rotation. I watch the heat bar, and compensate.
  8. No reduction in damage, improves DPS BUT being a BH, you want to be careful stacking Alacrity. The faster you get off skills the faster you overeheat.

  10. Well, BH has this one guy, something Barrows. You must have Skadge to start the fight. Skadge dies quick, you don't have Mako to heal you, and a bunch of droid joins in to finish you half way into the fight. Worst part is this one boots you from the instance when you die. You must start the conversation over each time, so you stuck with it.
  11. This. You should do a quest if you really want the reward from it, or if you really want to follow that part of the story. You should never do a quest just because it's "there". Following the class quests and just using the other side quests as filler works well for me.
  12. Actually there is no reason why a MMO cannot be both Theme Park and Sandbox. Theme Park up to a certain level, and Sandbox the rest of the way. Its all a matter of what area your in.
  13. My main's name is Galdir, because my LOTRO main was Galdirborn. When it was time to choose my Legacy, I picked Born. So it made my character's name Galdir Born, and the Legacy is callled "The Born Legacy". Man that worked out well, lol.
  14. As a BH on the side of the Empire, my natural tendency has been to work within the system, but taking LS 95% of the time in choices. All along the way, I find "good" as well as "evil" Empire NPCs. It just strikes me that the "Empire" is not evil, only the current ruling class is. So I feel like Shindler, a good German in a country run by evil. I don't feel my country is evil, just those running it are.
  15. Agreed. Except that many of the male characters in the game are also idealized. Just this idealization goes in more directions for males than they do for females.
  16. I play 2 MMOs, this and LotRo. In both for the story. That doesn't mean I don't care about the rest of the game, but the story is what sets it apart from a fps.
  17. Hard to say if thats it. The enemy fighters are going down very quickly. All I can think of is if I must knock out so many turrets and my right click drap never selects more than one (that seems to be the case), then I am at a disadvantage.
  18. I right click and hold, drag across multiple targets, and yet it seems to select only one of them (blue circle appears on only one).
  19. For MMOs, I've played Runescape, WoW, LotRo, DC Universe. Other than DC Universe, I have always gotten several level capped charaters with best gear. As for Space Combat games, I completed the entire X-Wing and Tie Fighter series. Completed Freelancer 2 and Wing Commander. So why do I suck in space combat in this game? I have won the first mission by the skin of my teeth. Other than that, I fail, fail, fail. I have my ship decked out with stuff of lvl 25-30 and trying to do lvl 20 missions. I destroy enemy fighters in droves. I get turrets at a good pace as well, but maybe need a little work here. So, what am I missing?
  20. Aha! proof within 1 minute of my starting this thread! lol.
  21. Let me apologize in advance if you are not one of the whiney 12 year olds that seem to be abundent supply on this forum. I came from, and still play, LOTRO. I am spoiled, I am so used to it's mature playerbase.
  22. Pretty simple for my BH to go Light Side. I am playing with the point of view that the Sith regime is evil, but not the actual "people". Kinda like looking at Nazi Germany. The regime was evil, but the German People, including most of the soldiers of all ranks, were not. But I have take a few dark side options when the choice presented seemed more of a professional choice, and not one of Good vs Evil.
