I would much rather someone ask questions in chat than talk endlessly about which MMO is better, which NPC is cuter, Mac vs PC, which football team won a game. Asking a question is not spamming. I hate it when I see false and ridiculous answers to a valid question in chat. If someone does not want to answer a question, then ignore it rather than troll. At least questions about the game are actually game related.

It was that little head and weird kid's eyes perched on that body that I noticed...I think many others here noticed it as well.

Oh I truly know what you mean...it's getting kind of ridiculous, isn't it? However, you can change the channel on your cable TV. The cable provider only brings the images into your home; they are not responsible for making them.

LOL you guys are killin' me here. Seriously entertaining and a good discussion for the most part. Let me stress that I LIKE my characters' body shapes. I am talking about the NPCs. Where young girls and old ladies alike have the same body structure.

I spent my hard-earned cash to buy this game and keep up the subscription. I am allowed to voice my opinions about it, and I am. Victoria's Secret sells items which are designed for a specific audience and purpose. If I choose to shop there, I know what sort of garments I am going to get. I am impressed that the developers of this game have not gone down the path of some other MMOs with the street walker outfits, and I understand there has to be some pandering to young male players who probably make up the majority of the audience here. However, there is a line that I don't want to see crossed- a world in which every female from 8 to 80 looks exactly the same in terms of outlandish body design.

OK, let's back up here...I started this thread because I saw a little girl NPC with a well-endowed adult body and spoke up because I felt this was taking things too far. Do I think I am going to single-handedly change the MMORPG world by asserting that I think the proportions of women's bodies are kind of ridiculous? No, I don't think that will change any time soon.

Am I offended because I don't look like a 10-year-old girl with the body of an adult film star? Ummmm........no.

No, I'm not ignoring the parts in which you agreed...just saying I anticipated many of the types of comments I've seen here ("sex sells" "get over it" "feminazi" blah blah blah) and have a tendency to speak my mind in an outright way. Doesn't make it a tantrum. I don't take games too seriously...which is why I can ignore the eye candy stuff. At least this game doesn't have the type of costuming a lot of other games have which make female heroes look like prostitutes That being said, I enjoy gaming and have done it for years, on several different MMOs. I was hoping Star Wars would be represented with some taste and class and not bow down to what others here have described as "modern society" in which women can be heroes, as long as they are well-endowed and wear as little clothing as possible. For the most part, I think they have been successful at that. In some ways, not so successful. As for comments, I think we've all seen some of the less than classy comments made by some in the gaming community. Some on this thread have mentioned them...which is why I did as well.

Women can be outspoken too without it being perceived as a tantrum. As a female gamer, I can look past the eye candy stuff and the comments in chat....but when I see a little girl with a curvy body and large breasts, I feel it's time to say something about it.

Exactly...and women who regularly work out don't normally have ginormous breasts unless they augment them. I'm kind of doubting my tough Smuggler or calm Jedi Consular would waster her credits on that

Well, already figured I'd get the "sex sells" remarks and the "get over it already" remarks. Character shapes aren't too bad- but some of the NPCs are weird. Obviously those of you creeped out by the little girl NPC with the womanly body saw what I did. I didn't say anything til I saw her because I knew I'd get the typical responses. Sex sells because some of you buy it...and hey, we're not talking about sex per se; we're talking about misrepresenting women. I totally get it that some of you out there need some eye candy in a game...but using a little girl to get some is just wrong.

I know, I know, girls don't play video games. And if we do, we should shut up and keep our opinions to ourselves. Well, tough cookies. The body shape for women characters in the gaming world is getting a bit ridiculous. Most of the female NPCs in this game would surely fall over and hurt themselves if they were real people. Yeah, yeah, let's hear all you guys tell me I am being too "sensitive". I don't see any male NPCs with enormous bulges in their Jedi pants. Putting these protuberances on a little girl character is just going too far though. Why would Renata Agareth be portrayed as curvy and buxom? Try to remember that there are real world women playing this game,and every other game on the market. Stop making us look ridiculous, please. Thanks.
