How is the overall server population of the game? They all list standard population in the server list. Will I be waiting hours to do one group mission every time?

How is the server populations? What is the best (most populated) server for groups and guilds in the US (eastern preferably)?

You are comparing critical business services to gaming services. One is for business, the other is for entertainment. You cannot really compare the two. If you cannot live without a game a couple of hours a week, there are problems. However, businesses cannot live without their emails a couple of hours a week (for example). They are completely separate. A video game of this scale is also MUCH MUCH MUCH more complex than standard programs and services.

I have a Level 50 Jedi on a PVP server that I never log into anymore. All of my other characters at on a PVE server. Since you cannot do cross server transfers (PVP to PVE), I will need to make a new Jedi on the PVE server. What do you guys recommend as the quickest way to level? I do not care about the planetary quests since I have done those already. I would still do my class story again since I actually enjoyed the Jedi story. I have tried the XP boost in the cartel market, but that only makes things slightly faster.

I have been playing since day one and have never had any game breaking bugs. Sure, I have had bugs, but no game breaking ones. In WoW, two years ago, there was a pond in one of the areas. When I went in the pond, there was like a bubble of some sort. If ANY character jumped in it, you would be logged out. When you logged back in, you would be in that bubble again and be logged out. I was unable to play for hours because of this. Even at two years ago, WoW was around A LONG TIME and it still had a game breaking bug for me. Bugs happen.

Well I decided to return the card to Newegg and get a GTX 680 instead. Cross your fingers that the 680 has no issues!

Well I ran the EVGA Stress Test (OC Scanner X). It did not find any issues stress testing and benchmarking the card. Could this be a Windows 8 issue, does anybody here have the GTX 6xx cards and Windows 8 installed?

What is a good benchmark?

Yes I have 1,000 Watt PSU. I ran some more demanding games as tests like Crysis and Dead Island. Those games do this too. I deleted all drivers and installed new ones several times. Do you have any advice as to what is wrong?

Yes. I downloaded the NVIDIA drivers from their website. 306.97 - it reports GTX 670. I just installed Borderlands 2 and it does the same thing even during the opening video.

Yeah I deleted all ATI drivers and files. Do you know what would cause it to make my computer so slow, it needed a restart in order to fix it? Task manager said nothing was running. It was so slow, I would press the windows key and it would take 15 seconds before the start menu appeared. I would click on shut down, and it took 20 seconds for the click to register.

Sorry. Does this game create card specific settings? I remember people mentioning deleting a config file for graphics changes. Would that cause an issue going from ATI to NVIDIA?

So I upgraded my graphics card from an ATI Radeon HD 5870 to a EVGA NVIDIA GTX 670 FTW card. I have tested many games and they all seem to work fine, except SWTOR. Whenever I want to create a new character, I get about 2 seconds, then my screen keeps flickering. My system becomes so slow even after closing SWTOR. I need to reboot to fix it. I thought this was an issue with the character creation screen, but when I logged in with an existing character, the same thing happened when I walked out of the building. Can anybody successfully play this on a GTX 670? I am currently redownloading the game, do you think that will help?

I think people need to realize MMOs are different. I can max Skyrim, but I still get around 40fps in WoW in Orgrimmar when it is busy. Why is that? Intel Xeon 6-core W3680 3.45Ghz 8GB of Ram ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB I have not done 40x40, that seems a little excessive. But I never drop below 40FPs on this game.

I guess, for people like me, this game makes sense. I was never a fan of grouping in WoW. I only did that with a friend. I did do quite a bit of Dungeons though, but everybody there was just way too serious. For a person that prefers story, I enjoy it.

Oh please. Star Wars games are not known for their success. I only played a handful of them because the rest well sucked. Name one of the best Star Wars game ever made: KOTOR. Who made that?

Yes it does. Companions (not even remotely comparable to pets in WoW) and their storylines 1-50 Class Storylines Completely voice over (yeah yeah yeah those of you complain that you need to space bar through it, well I do not want to see a wall of text in WoW) Legacy (say what you want about it, but for altaholics like myself it is a very good system IMO) Completely different genre (sci fi where WoW is fantasy). So do not go on saying it offers nothing more over WoW.

Agreed. Its like every MMO has to have EVERYTHING that WoW has to be successful.

Guys let's be honest here. WoW is a rotation game. Other than raids (which I never do), I could memorize a rotation and not even look at the screen for hours while fighting and still win. You know I would use ability X, then Y, then Z, then Y again, then X, and so on. This games seems more engaging. I use my interrupts almost every time a bad guy is channeling a big ability. Oh and no auto attack? Really? I thought that is what the companion was for?

Stop complaining geez. No they cannot set up a random schedule for maintenance. People do have lives, and some people cannot adjust with changing shifts that well. You cannot expect a team to change their hours weekly just because you want other people to suffer the downtimes. We do not know if they have multiple "patch groups", but this is not WoW. I know a lot of people that experienced the augment issue and were complaining left and right. So yes this patch was needed. I NEVER do PVP, but you do not hear me complaining when a patch is mostly PVP related. You guys also need to wake up and actually think. Those of you that said they IGNORED your bugs are misinformed. The devs mostly use the in game bug tracker. Just because they do not respond back does not mean you are being ignored. The devs need to talk to their bosses and get their list of things to work on. I am sorry this has been a difficult week. But I ALWAYS have trouble in WoW the week of a major patch/expansion.

I am sorry, the GTN on my server has some awesome stuff in it. The making alts was a suggestion for those that say there is nothing to do at level 50 other than to grind. I am sorry you feel making alts is just a level grind. I get sucked in to the story and I am currently playing all 8 storylines. What do you people want? If BW made 200 story lines that last 1,000 hours EACH people would STILL complain once the reach the end. What do you people want from the game? There is NO POSSIBLE WAY to avoid grinds in a themepark MMO. And no matter how much you complain, BW will not make this into a sandbox MMO.

How is that any different than WoW? Dailies there always give the best money for the time you spend.

And it mostly is. Make alts if you do not like a grind. Do not like making alts? Oh well. Really, what do people want if they have these reasons: Crafting: "Too Boring" Play the GTN: "Too time consuming" Dailies: "Too boring" Make alts: "I hate alts" .... They gave you options, what do people expect BW to do for them?

My god will people stop complaining about dailies? WoW has them. I did them for MONTHS. Yes the same quest every day for MONTHS. And yes I am one of those people that can only play under 10 hours a week. Once I got to 85, what else did I have to do? 10 hours a week is not enough to Raid, and I would seriously suck at PVP if I did not get all the PVP gear. So I only did dailies. You guys REALLY need to stop complaining. Do not like dailies? DO NOT DO THEM! This is the way the game is. Themepark MMOs are all like this. They will NOT just change this game to a sandbox game just because people said so. This game will probably never change from the themepark style. Sorry, but you cannot expect a released MMO to change its sub-genre. Once I hit 85 in WoW, what is there to do that is NOT A GRIND? Please tell me? How is WoW SUCH a success if grinding is BAD? Everything I do in WoW is grind at 85. This game is a lot better, you do not need to grind. Make an alt and experience a new story. Do not like alts, oh well. You cannot satisfy everyone.
