God I'm retarded. I came back right at the drop of 2.8, I had been gone since maybe 2.1? I only did the new planets thinking that was it. I had been concentrating on leveling my Assassin and Smuggler since being back and hadn't even noticed. Well, at least I know now, I'm off to take my Jugg through them. There is one story for each side right?

Wait, what? So this story is available now? Or not till 2.9? Sorry lol. If it's out now, I'm not sure how I missed this. If it's not till 2.9, I feel better at not being so blind to have missed this.

Thanks for the replies. I already have a Jugg and initally thought about just using him for pvp. However, I hate the playstyle of Vengence. I dont' know why, just dont' like it. Mara is appealing only because I enjoy classes that are hard to play. However, since i"m not experience hardly at all with pvp, I might go easy first to learn the ropes and learn to fight other classes. Then maybe try a Mara out once I get the hang of things.

Marauder holds my interest the most, but if they are just horrible like everyone has been saying in chat, I might not do it. Can a person that is really good at playing do well in pvp? Or are you just fighting an uphill battle no matter what? Which tree is the best pvp tree for Mara's? I'll consider a BH or VG because I generally like their heavy armor look. I dont' want to play a tank spec at all for pvp, so which of their trees is the pvp atm? Thanks for you input.

I had actually thought about this recently. When tanking I'm always watching for procs, my skill bar, and glancing up to make sure i'm not standing in "fire". I dont' watch the action much at all. I think this will be a nice change.

Cool thanks. I just leveling a Jedi Guardian through the middle tree (brain fart, not focus or the tanking tree) and it is single target based. Killing groups get tedious really fast. I'll go the aoe route this time. Thanks.

What is the prefered leveling tree for the GS? I'm totally clueless when it comes to ranged play.

Just some background: My first toon was a VG back at release. Got him to 50, tanked both FP's and OP's with him. I level'd a Jugg tank a time later, tanked FP's and OP's with him. TOok a long break right after the expac released, cam back just a few weeks ago and decided to level an Assassin. He's now lvl55 and I'm slowing getting him all his basic gear. Tonight, like the past few nights, I've been que'ing up and tanking some fp's, just grinding comms. I dont' remember which FP is was, one of the level 50 ones, I was tanking with my Assassin and an OP healer, lvl53. First pull there is a gold and 2 silvers, maybe a few regulars, the healer lets me die. I'm thinking, wth is this guy doing? Next pull, he lets me die again. Healer starts yelling (typing in caps) saying how much I sucked. He initiated a kick. I'm thinking, surely the group isnt' this stupid. Before I could even get a reply out, the group agreed to kick me. Been awhile since I've pissed. I'm not that pissed, but it just got under my skin. I probably shouldn't have let it, but I did a little. You dont' normally run into that kind of person in this game. Anyways, rant off.

Way back after I started raiding with my Jugg, (maybe 3 months after release) I rolled a Sin tank got him to early 40's, but the simplicity of it is why I ended up not liking the Sin. The Jugg's tanking and lack of aoe back then made it feel frantic and almost out of control, so when you kept things under control, it was rewarding. Now however, after having just revisited the Sin tank and made myself get him to 55, I enjoy it's simplicity in rotation and secure feeling of control. Maybe I've changed as a gamer, but jumping back to my Jugg it feels like work now and not enjoyment. Funny how in your gaming life, you go through different phases.

I had taken a break from end game awhile back to just level characters and see more of the stories. Without going into it, I"m trying to decide whether to start raiding with my BH, Jugg or Assn and I can't decide which. I like them all or different reasons. For those of you that raid at end game with these classes, why do you play it over the others? I'm not asking which class is strongest as I'm reading and hearing everyone say the Assn is all around the best. I know I played my Jugg at end game before the Hutt expac released mainly because I liked his story more than the other two and felt more connected to him. Now I'm just looking for other tanks who play these classes as mains and I'm just curious why they play them. Thanks.

Cool thanks, if that's really all the changes, I'll just stick with a male. I just thought that it might add some other slight variations to the story if you played female, other than the flirting.

I've played through all the story lines except the Smuggler and Agent and just can't make myself level those because I really REALLY dislike the play style of both the AC's. I just can't take it anymore. I'll get to them eventually I guess. Atm. I'm looking at going through some stories again, but playing it differently, like I played a Sith Warrior Darkside, I'll probably play a Mara light side this time. But the classes I'm looking at going through again are a Commando, Sage or Mara. My question for male gamers, is which of these would you play through as a female a 2nd go around. All my toons are males, but for the sake of seeing a much different side to the story, I think I'll role a female as well. Which class plays best as a female in your opinion? I'm thinking Sage? But again, just looking for suggestions and why. Thanks.

Yeah, I think I'm going to start with a Sentinel as I have never played one. The look fun.

I've finished the stories of all except the Agent, Smuggler and Jedi Knight. I can't decide which to go with next. So far, my personal ranking of the stories is: 1st: Sith Warrior by far 2nd: Trooper 3rd: Jedi Consular 4th: Bounty Hunter 5th: Sith Inquisitor Hard to decide which to level next.

This is actually the only reason I want to play the classes I mentioned since I have played all the others. Also, I plan on at least maxing out class story exp and I am a sub. I'll run the exp consumable boosts too.

Hey folks, I'm not a new player but thought this might be a good "new player" topic. I have a Jugg (55) Shadow (53) PT (53), Assn (50) and VG (52) . I have a few others in the 30's, but my goal is to complete a Smuggler, Agent or JK next since I have yet to play through their stories. So to my question, what is the best way to level up during the bonus exp weekends by getting to see the stories quests, but by minimally completing any side quests? I really want to finish the thre classes I have yet to really experience, but I'm about sick of the questing.

Hey guys, wanting to roll a pve dps alt. Just finished leveling an Assassin. I played a Sorc to mid 30's a while back and really liked the play style. It felt like I was always pushing something, watching for procs, etc. I've never played a Sniper past 25, but how do they compare play style wise? I stopped playing the sniper back then because it just felt like everything had a cast time and it was boring. So I'm really trying to decide between those two. I've never heard much of the Agent story, but just finished the Inq story so it seems I should go Sniper, but at the same time, don't' want to dislike the play style if you know what I mean.

I would actually be interested in hearing this too. One thing I've never been able to grasp (maybe because i'm old lol) is tanking in pvp. Of course the only pvp I've ever really done is in wow and of course there you don't really have use for tanks in pvp like you do in this game. I wouldn't mind learning tanking in pvp as well.

Awesome, thanks for that. I will keep pushing on the Assn. It sounds like the class I should've been playing all along since I like playing classes that are hard to play.

Been tanking a little bit on my Assassin. He's only lvl22, so lets get that out of the way. I played a Jugg tank from head start all the way till about a month after the Hutt Cartel release and I'm just coming back after being gone a long long time. I wanted to try either a Assassin tank or PT/VG this time around. Okay, so again, my Assn is only 22, I know there is a lot of growth left in the class. But it just feels so static. The Jugg felt a little more on the edge maybe because of Retaliation? I don't' know.... I don't' have much time to play, after 5 days, my Assassin is only 22, so that should show I dont' have as much time as I would like. I just hate to invest in a character that I'm not sure I'll like. I guess I write all this to ask just a short comparison in play style between Assassins, Power Techs and Juggs. I already know Jugg tanking for the most part, but how "busy" do the other two feel compared to the Jugg? I just hate feeling like I"m not doing much, or a play style that is going to put me to sleep, if you know what I mean. Thanks, I know I rambled a bit, but hard to communicate these things sometimes.

Sith Warrior Story has been my favorite so far. I've played the Consular, Warrior, Trooper and Bounty Hunter stories. The thing that kept my from getting a Knight past 30 is the animations. I think if I played a body 2 it wouldn't bother me too bad, but I always like my tanks to be bigger. I think this stems back to when healers actually had to clock on the tanks to heal them and having a bigger race was made it easier. I would vote Juggernaut
