Hey guys, last time i pvp'd was back at release with a PT. I've since changed servers rolling new toons except for the one I transfered to keep my legacy. I've got my pve tanks so I'm wanting to roll a melee pvp toon. Since I haven't played in so long, I'm going to be basically a noob running around. Going to roll a Pub so I'm really wanting to know, which melee class will ease me back into it all and not suck. I'm currently thinking of either a Sent(not sure on which spec is good for pvp) or Shadow(deception equivalent). Which of those would probably be easier to learn?

Hey folks. Rolling a dps alt for my guild as we have three tanks and sometimes I wouldn't mind sitting my tank and rolling dps for a night. So we're melee heavy and wanting to go dps. The most attractive to me are the Sage and Commando. Is there anyway someone could give me a basic run down on these classes? How they play, raid/group utility, etc. I haven't played a dps in this game, let alone in MMO's period for quite a few years. I think 2008 was the last time I played a dps in PVE so I'll be learning a lot again. Thanks ahead of time for the replies, advice and suggestions.

Why do the ships on the Clone War series look like they belong to different sides? Like Republic's ships look like EMpire ships in the game and visa versa?

Any downside to this? Just curious as our guild recruited another tank for our raid team that happens to be a VG. Any pro's or con's to this? Just curious. We're not kicking him, but if there are con's I might start gearing my Shadow or Guardian on the side.

Haha, yeah probably. Again, I could care less about the loot. I usually pass it all anyways, especially if I know there is a new player in the group. We were all just surprised. Never seen anything like that before in any MMO i've played and I've been playing MMO's since Eq1..... yeah I'm old.

I was leveling a guardian earlier for fun. Got a group together with a guild and two others from Fleet that wanted to run a few fp's together. Now I've got several 60's, so I'm not worried about loot dropping from lvl30 FP, it didn't seem like anyone really cared except one of the guys. Anyways, I saw something that was crazy. We ran 4 FP, one guy was there for 3 and a half of them, but he won every single loot roll. I dont' care if it was a random green, or a piece of gear he shouldn't have been able to Need on, he got everything. He was a consular, he was needing everything, Heavy VG armor, everything. We all started needing too, but it didn't matter. It showed our rolls in number on the chat screen, but not hia, it just said he received the item. I started noticing about half way through the first FP that he got everything. Then, of course I couldn't believe he got 100% of the gear you could roll on time and time again through the rest of the FP's we did. Again, yes we were all hitting "Need" by this point just to see if we could get something, we were all just kind of joking about it. He wasn't the group leader btw, my toon was. So really my question is, was this some kind of hack? We all kept talking about it, no one cared really about the loot, but we all kept mentioning that he was getting everything. He kept saying that it might just be his lucky night. Any thoughts? Or has anyone ever seen this?

One of my favorite things about the Guardian/Jugg was the riposte ability and how it didn't share a cooldown with everything else. Gave the tanking playstyle a slight "wac-a-mole" feeling with I tend to enjoy. -Any chance the will switch this back? -What does the community think of this change overall? -Any of the other tanks have a "wac-a-mole" feeling to them? I just started playing again and this is the first thing I noticed. Now the class feels very slow to me and I'm not enjoying it at all.

Good suggestion, but I really get into my toons. So changing him/her later would only mess me up.

Cool thanks for reply. I was hoping to start a Togruta Sage and Sorc since those are the only two AC's i haven't played. I have both a Shadow and Assassin.... go figure. I can wait though and level a Dark JK in the mean time. Always wanted to try that.

I resubbed tonight. Last time I played was right before expac released and I finished some classes I had been leveling and finished all the stories. Some how I got it in my head that Togruta were being released with 3.1 and had decided I would resub with 3.1. Well, obviously Togruta aren't in game yet, no biggie, I'll keep my sub and just play around a bit. Anyways, is there an ETA on Togruta race? Like I said, I'm kicking myself a bit for not checking first, and also wondering how in the world I got it in my head that they came with 3.1.

/signed I really dislike it the way it is now. That was probably the main thing about the playstyle that I liked a lot. Not only that it didn't share gcd with everything else, but that the animation was nice and fluid when moving from other abilities. Since the change, I really dont' like playing my beloved Jugg, who's been my main since launch.

Hell no. I would support it if a lvl55 wanted to change his AC and it reverted his level to 10 so as not to have to go through the 1st ten levels, but not switching without any repercussions. And Jugg not doing Damage? They are arguably better DPS than their counterpart right now.

Yeah something like this. A failed Jedi that didn't have the power of the Force needed to become a Knight or Consular, but only enough power to do menial tasks. However, this toon would refuse to live this life and wanted greatness, so they set off with just a little Force powers, but mainly either melee or blasters to carve his/her way into history.

Totally worth it. While the gameplay isn't my favorite, the stories just keep me going. Love how it all ties in, and all the great voice overs.

That's kind of what I'm doing. My Jugg is a Male Zabrak, body 3, lookign like Darth Maul. I tried a female for my mara since it would be my 2nd play through, and I just coudln't get into it. In my mind's eye, the Sith Warrior must look like my Jugg as I have associated the looks with that character so much, I can't see a Sith warrior as anything else. But again, having fun. Can't wait to start on a commando or Sage/Sorc after my Mara.
