  1. the problem is, you should lose valor and credits when your team loses. If you do not have any skin in the game, you have nothing to lose. Heck, losing fast is a very viable option as you still get rewarded. everyone wins in the end.
  2. agree. time to reroll imps and roll with the zerg. Why not? better economy. faster groups. get all the wz now. Why not just have one faction?
  3. does not matter. Recount and other mods for WoW would just use chat channels to send info around anyhow. Bads will not be able to hide now.
  4. how would merging servers solve this? I am on a high pop server (jung ma) and have problems getting people together when my guild is not available. x-server groups solve the problem as you have the largest pool of players possible to group with. that fact alone, means server merging does not solve the problem.
  5. There should be no delay timer, why penalize people who are using the LFG to find a group? So back to my original point...you can always group with people from your own server to do things independent of any x-server tool. You can use the x-server tool to fill in holes in your existing group.
  6. Ok, so have the LFG try to place same server people together and then draw on x-server. If you give people a choice, the same server q will rarely pop as no one will pick it. Then there will be the tiny group of people QQ on the forums about how no one chooses same server as it takes too long and x-server needs to go away so more people use the single server Q.

  8. So you cant get a group on your server, and you want a LFG tool for only your server because that is going to magically fill the group? I must be missing something here... As to your second point...if someone is being that much of a pain in the rear, simply add them to ignore and you will not get grouped with them again. I must say in WoW i can count on one hand the number of times i had a a-hole in my group.
  9. wrong. it is completely spot on to what he is saying. I also found your response offensive and reported you. If the LFG tool is there and you don't like it, don't use it. People who like it, will use it. If your idea of fun is spamming chat LFG for hours, have at it.
  10. you do not make any sense. There is nothing stopping you from grouping with people from your server to run things. Simply do not use the tool, or group up and fill the remaining spot(s) from the LFG tool.
  11. did you turn off bloom? did you turn off shadows? turn off AA? set everyhting to low? set the grass detail to lowest setting? set the tree detail to lowest setting? my machine was hurting a bit so i spend 1300 on a new 17" ASUS laptop off newegg and now run everyhting at 1920x1080 on highest setting and things are as smooth as butter except for high pop fleet and of course Ilum zergs.
  12. Huh? WvW in guild wars 2 is PvP and you will not have the same gear, you get stat bolstered to level 80, just like in SWTOR wz you get bolstered to 50. In the team based pvp, yes you will have the same gear.

    so i finally hit 50 this weekend. Had 1000/1000 and one bag in storage. Did not get any items from the bags, but with my badges got some Champ and Cent gear. had 144 expertise which is like 4.5% or something. Have to start somewhere. Won some WZ lost some WZ. Then i went to Ilum to check it out. It is pretty bad. Just zerg up at the central point and meet the imp zerg head on. Rinse and repeat. Wow, what fun. We rolled the imps several times but we got so outnumbered by the end there was just no way. Melee i feel for you...ranged just sit back and spam AoE on the zerg pile. Melee have to go head on into the laggy zergfest . Realized, this game is pretty much dead pvp wise. how could they have f'd it up so bad?
  15. exactly. OP is just a baddie. All's i hear is me, me ,me ,me ,me,me, me. OP obviously has no concept of team play. No wonder he/she is losing. DPSing a healer means that healer can not just sit and spam heals. they have to heal your damange. they have to try to move and get away from their attacker most likely LOSing their team mates. All that means is there are few if any heals going to their team mates. Know know what that means? Probably not since alls the OP cares about is me, me , me, me ,me ,me.
  16. I was in the fleet last night and there were 280 people. The engine or my machine or both slowed when a ton of people (probably 60+) were on the screen at once. A lot of the "engine" issues are simply with peoples crap computers. I just got a new Asus laptop for 1300 off newegg and all that "engine" slowness went away. Sure there is always engine/coding optimizations to be made and SWTOR is far from perfect in that regard, but most QQ is simply because people have crap computers trying to run the game at 1920x1080 with everything on high.
  17. This is the problem...all the care bear "pvpers" who need a "reward" for pvp'ing. The reward is killing. The reward is having fun. Why is everything about getting loot or some meaningless e-peen stat?
  18. You can not have it both ways. If you lose, you should get nothing. Second place is first place loser. Objective pvp has objectives. There is a winner and a loser. Participating means you play to win. So now the problem becomes quitters....no one likes to lose and people would leave the second they start losing because the reality is people do not want to pvp, they want to do something to get rewarded no matter the outcome. For objective based pvp, the loses should lose valor equal to the amount the winners get. there has to be a penalty. If you leave early, you lose the valor if your team loses and get no valor if your team wins. The only way i can think of which a game can cater to the entitlement crowd is to have a warzone where the sole objective is to reward the teams based on the percentage of total kills at the end. for example, there were a total of 100 kills in the warzone. Team A had 70 kills and team b had 30 kills. Players on team A get 70% of the rewards and team b gets 30%. Does not matter who on the team has the most kills, or most DPS, or most Heals, everyone gets the same reward on the team

    if there are a bunch of bads playing, i do this. I love when they complain about it too. Last night me and another guy were guarding the left turret and the other six bads were trying to take one of the other turrets, which of course they could not because they were horrible. But one guy got all pissy about having two guarding. I told him there was no point in playing beause all of them were terrible. Six people could not take one node. There should never be less than two guarding a turret. if you think otherwise, you are bad.
  20. lolwut? such as? WoW had no battlegrounds, no raids, just a couple of dungeons. There was nothing to do at 60 and boy the QQ was epic.

  22. because winning does not matter. you still get tons of xp, valor, and credits for losing. Just run around and try to kill people. Until there is no reward for losing, it really does not matter. Everyone is a winner.
  23. with the biochem nerf, do any other tradeskills make sense? Or is biochem still the only usable skill?
  24. If things look bad i quit right away...why should i waste my time with a bunch of bads? It is no fun for me to play with people who do not defend objectives, have no clue what focus fire is, keyboard turn, are clickers, etc....
  25. The real problem is all the bads in the wz who do not know what focus fire is.
