I like most of the companions, but Arcann is my favourite. TBH, I often log in just to hang out with him. He just has everything I love in a character: A dark, tragic past. I really have a weakness for people who are a little broken, but keep fighting anyway. Daddy issues - but also the ability to eventually overcome those issues (something I admire and relate to). Anger management issues (in the beginning - see above). In many ways, his own worst enemy. I love this trope. Excellent dialogue. Unlike Vaylin (and please note this is just my personal opinion), there's no cheesy wise-cracking when Arcann kills someone. Writes the most beautiful letters. An awesome visual design. I'm a sucker for masks, scars and bad guys wearing white. Also, he looks really cool in combat. And I love the robotic arm! Amazing voice acting. Dellums' voice is delicious, of course, but I especially love the subtle change after Arcann is redeemed. Wants to kill you, then wants to love you. I adore the enemies to lovers trope. Thanks for making it happen, Bioware! Ok, I'll stop There's nothing I don't like about him, but I do wish his redemption arc and the romance weren't so rushed. Such massive changes in a character need to be developed over time and I really hope we get more interactions with him. Unlike some of his fans, I have no problem with his redeemed behaviour, however. I think he's humble, deeply regretful, somewhat overwhelmed and very, very sweet I don't know what sort of Commander would put up with edgy behaviour from a former enemy, so I'm glad he doesn't act that way. I think it takes a lot of courage to approach your former nemesis the way Arcann does, admit you were wrong and give up everything you once fought for to do what's right. That's more than tough enough for me.

Thanks!! I'm super happy about your reaction since that was exactly what I was going for I feel the same way about the Eternal Empire storyline, but I'm hopeful about the new content. Honestly, my expectations have been so low for so long that just having new areas to run around in will make me pretty happy, but I dare to hope for at least a letter or two from Arcann and perhaps a new customization. I've seen quite a few people ask for that (I'd rather have some dialogue than cosmetics myself, but I'll take anything Arcann-related!). Of course, I also hope that the other companions and LIs get some attention. I'm only really emotionally invested in a few companions myself, but I want everyone to be happy. My new and much more serious video project is now done (sorta - had some problems with muffled sound, but decided to just leave it since I'm not sure how to improve it right now). I was inspired by a song called "My Turn to Evil", so this one is a Dark Arcann tribute. I had to do some replaying with a boosted clone, since I needed spoken lines from choices my characters would never normally make, such as kneeling to Valky and picking some quite cruel dialogue options when killing Arcann. While I don't enjoy playing a char who makes those choices, some of the scenes and dialogue they trigger just break my heart (in a good way - I'm a masochist, I guess ). I will never grasp how some people can think that KotFE and KotET's writing is poor. I think it's gold. I only wish the devs had followed the original plan for an even more fleshed-out story. For me, a really passionate delivery would actually have seemed out of character. I agree very much with what Iheaca said before; I don't think Arcann would be comfortable (yet) with openly expressing his feelings, so he's sort of choking on it. He writes in the Nathema letter that he tried to conceal his feelings for you at first, so I think you have to assume/headcanon that he has been with you for awhile after you defeated Valkorion and slowly falling for you during that time, before the first romance talk. So, while their relationship is very new, it's believable to me that he could be very much in love at that point. Given the history between them, I also don't think it's out of place to feel very strongly about each other, even at such an early point in the relationship. They've already been through some pretty intense emotions regarding each other, which can't really be compared to most other relationships (Arcann says he hated you once and depending on your character, she/he might have felt the same). I do agree that it's a shame the whole thing is so rushed. It would have obviously been far better if we'd had more talks in between, so you wouldn't need to pretend that all this time has passed between the talks. I'm still just happy that we got to romance him at all, though. I'll happily take whatever we might get in the future, even if that requires some headcanon, too.

It was kind of a drag having to do Iokath and the flashpoints again just to get to the Nathema kiss on my clone, but hey - I'll do anything for Arcann The dance in front of the fire is the "angry dance" emote. It has a few different styles. I'd love to see your video, so please do!

Not at all actually; I liked the delivery of the romance lines in that scene. It didn't sound fake to me, but more like those weren't easy words for him to say. If anything, I'm less happy with the dialogue about Theron; I wish there had been a smoother transition from his earlier letter, which indicated that he was willing to kill the traitor for you, to advising you to spare him.

Thanks! Currently working on a more serious video tribute for Arcann. It's pretty time consuming, but a fun way to spend the time in between game updates, especially since I can't seem to write fanfiction. Life is Strange is amazing! I think it's a great examples of how powerful storytelling can be in games. So, are you guys excited about the new roadmap? Do you think our redeemed tyrant will get some love? I saw a few people asking to marry him in the livestream comments. I want that too, eventually, but I'm hoping for a few more talks first so the relationship will feel more developed.

I'm really happy you liked it It was meant to be funny, so I'm glad that worked too I killed Arcann on my SW because it really was what she would have done, but afterwards I found it hard to relate to her. Her story just became so dark that it was difficult to find it enjoyable. The video helped me get back into her character by showing a softer, more vulnerable side of her personality, but also by placing her in a comic situation On a more serious note, I imagine that the Outlander (pretty much regardless of class) is the type of person who needs to constantly be striving for something or battling someone in order to have a meaningful existence. I think that's the case for most larger-than-life, hero/villain characters. Like how superheroes need supervillains to fight in order to feel complete

So, I was thinking about how my dark side-corrupted, anger-fueled and driven-by-vengeance SW feels now that all her nemeses are vanquished and the dust has settled down. She's only just beginning to realise how empty life is without a certain tyrant and how she really felt about him, although she would never admit to it. She can't help what goes on in her dreams though, and I felt compelled to express that in a silly music video (my very first attempt at making a video fan tribute!). Thanks for sharing They're one of my favourite bands I have a lot of their songs on my SI and SW's playlists, too. Some of their more quiet songs are also appropriate for "sithy" or destructive love. Like this one: Speaking of Nine Inch Nails, I also like "Something I Can Never Have" for a depressed Arcann: When it comes to musical tastes, I guess my character playlists can seem a bit all over the place, although I usually prefer rock and metal. I tend to care more about lyrics and overall mood than genre when it comes to associating songs with a specific character or theme.

This song originally reminded me of another favourite character, Kane from Karl Edward Wagner's Sword & Sorcery novels. I record the gameplay too It's just more satisfying rewatching your own character than someone else's on Youtube. I've just finished my third playthrough of KotFE and KotET and finally managed to get a recording of everything that I'm happy with, thanks to Bandicam. Now I'm busy making about a million Arcann-centric GIFS And I'm also shy about a few of my associated songs (mostly the stomach-turningly romantic ones ). Just popping in to say that I hope those of you taking a break you will keep your posting rights. I'm not much of a poster myself, but I do love this thread! And I have nothing but admiration for those of you who persistently and faithfully kept requesting and hoping for more Arcann content for years I wish I'd been around back then to support you guys. I was an early access SWTOR-player from back in 2011, had to quit in 2013 to focus on University and stayed away for years, then suddenly had a pang for SWTOR late last year, watched "Sacrifice", saw Arcann and instantly resubbed Although I'm still in the honeymoon phase due to getting on the train so late, I am also starting to crave new content already. I feel spoiled, knowing how long some of you waited for this romance! Seriously, it's torture having to just wait and wonder if he's ever going to speak again (although the snippet we got in 5.9 gives me hope). I seem to recall reading about people's favourite Arcann songs pages and pages back. Did you guys ever make a collaborative playlist? I've listened to all my Arcann-related songs on repeat for so long that I might go a little nuts if I don't get some new inspiration

New poster here, although I have lurked in this thread for quite some some I sort of felt the need to share my love for redeemed Arcann based on some of the recent discussion. Obviously, we all have slightly different views on Arcann's character (which is great since there wouldn't be much to discuss otherwise!), but as I see him, his behaviour in the romance really makes sense. To me, Arcann always seemed like a love-starved character, even when he was bad. Those cutscenes where you see him brooding on the throne, wishing that Thexan could be there, musing about Senya's lack of understanding for him and his siblings… As powerful, determined and dangerous as he was, he always seemed tormented and deeply lonely. Even after being redeemed, he writes in his first letter that he still struggles to forget Valkorion's coldness which, to me, indicates that the pain of his father's neglect is still very much there. In the "I have you"-letter, it sounds to me like the PC is starting to fill the void of all those losses and lack of love for him. I also think it's important not to overlook the significance of Arcann comparing the PC to Thexan in that letter, in order to really understand what the PC has come to mean for him. Being a (lost) twin must have some psychological impact on him. When you add to that the gratitude he feel towards the PC, and keep in mind that Arcann always seemed like an obsessive person who felt everything too strongly, it really makes perfect sense to me that he would become a bit too dependent on the PC in the romance! Some of the things he says, like being undone by you and not knowing what to do without you, also indicate to me that he is not all that emotionally stable despite being redeemed, as he might still place a risky amount of importance on one person's affection - which is something I actually like, since I would find it hard to accept if all of his issues were just magically fixed after the Voss ritual. I don't think he would necssarily return to his former ways if the PC abandoned him (I like to think he's come too far for that), but I do think it would affect him tremendously. Of course, I might just be reading all these things into what is actually very little content, but it's what makes the romance fun and fulfilling for me! So, all in all, I really like redeemed Arcann. I do wish that more of what I see as his character development could take place during interactions rather than in the letters (I'm thinking of the last letter we got from him specifically, which was the first time he has really expressed his thoughts on the changes in him) - but I understand that there are limited resources for this and so on. And I do agree that it would be nice to see him in action some more, and it would really help to show that he is not suddenly this passive, meek character (I think his combat lines show that this isn't the case, but it's not quite enough). I still think Ii's a huge mistake that we couldn't bring him to the Nathema flashpoint. I hope that wasn't a wall of text But then, this is the right place to write walls of text about Arcann, right?

I would really like to see: 1. Animal mounts! This would make me very happy. It's just wrong that you can't ride a Tauntaun. 2. More customization for my own character and companions. Especially the ability to hide head slot and unify colour to chestpiece for companions. A barber shop would also be really cool. 3. More character slots

My dad has the same problem. He has filled out security questions, contact information, redeemed his preorder code and his game code and gets told that there is no active subscription.
