  1. Those models aren't in the game as far as I know. Here are the closest things to them I could find on TorFashion. Weapon Armor
  2. The real question is why should I care what others think of me? My past is a part of who I am today. Why should I be ashamed of it? Maybe I should take pride in the fact that I was given the opportunity to push trolleys around the car park and recognize that it helped to pave the way to the success I enjoyed later in life? But let's be realistic too. Going from pushing trolleys to a corporate success is a world apart from playing a fairly substantial role in the original Star Wars movies and then going on to play supporting roles on sitcoms. The corporate mogul who used to push shopping carts will be remembered and recognized for his success, not his roots. The actor/celebrity will be remembered for the role that had the most viewers, and as far as Denis Lawson is concerned, his career peaked with Star Wars. He had the talent to remain a strong presence in the film and television industry in the decades since, but he hasn't played any roles that had the success of Star Wars. Him being upset because people recognize him as Wedge Anitlles is akin to Donald Trump getting upset because he made millions of dollars.
  3. Some celebrities recognize that fame takes more than just talent and appreciate the writers, directors, producers, stage crew, and fans that helped them succeed. Other celebrities think they're some kind of genius or gift to the world and get swallowed by their own ego. Sounds like ole' Wedge is the later.
  4. This thread reminded me a conversation I had with my 14 year old niece recently. I finally convinced her to watch Star Wars and after she watched them all she called me to complain about them stealing the names for Biggs and Wedge from Squaresoft's Final Fantasy games. On one hand, I was impressed that she made the connection between the two franchises, on the other hand, I wanted to reach through the phone and facepalm her. Kids...
  5. The problem was much more than just people using it in ST rotation. It was simply too powerful. It had to be reduced in power. And FFS, it isn't ruined. It still works perfectly fine as an AoE. It's just not a God Mode I.W.I.N. button any longer.
  6. The other melee dps are viable from a damage dealing perspective, but it's still hard to get a spot over any ranged class because of how much more healing they require. Bringing any melee class is a liability from a healing perspective. The Sorc/Sage nerf was needed. If people are leaving the game over that, they're being silly. I can't comment on the Vanguard/Powertech nerfs. I don't play those classes. The melee complaints are an issue though. I would love to raid on my Assassin again, but if I sign up for a guild Ops run with him, they usually ask me to bring my Sorc instead. If I try to pug an Ops run on my Assassin, they ask if I have a ranged instead or flat out refuse.
  7. It could also mean inflation has lowered the value of credits.
  8. My guild has more than a dozen players who have billions of credits they have earned over the last 3 years. Many of them continue to earn millions more on a daily basis. I can assure you 100% that the credit cap is the ONLY thing keeping them subbed. Without the cap they would cancel their sub and buy every unlock needed on the GTN and NEVER run out of credits because they are that good at making credits. There are already a couple of people in my guild that buy one month of a sub once or twice a year just to remove the credit cap, then they spend 30-50 million credits on enough unlocks to last them several months as preferred. Removing the credit cap would lose all of those subs forever. And we're a casual guild. There are likely hundreds of other players in the same or better situation in other guilds and on other servers. The people who want the credit cap removed all seem to be VASTLY underestimating the credits earning potential many players have in this game.
  9. Awesome! Glad you got what you wanted. Where did you end up buying it from?
  10. Since a few people here seem to think that nobody would ever subscribe only to get around the credit cap.... Meet Nobody. All cyclops should avoid him.
  11. Accounts are easily replaced. They can steal accounts that are not well-secured or they can just have bots create them as needed. Locking accounts that are involved in the farming and delivery of goods helps, but in the smallest way possible. Focusing on finding ways to make the bots stop working within the game and promoting good account security are likely to be more effective. However, its important to remember that the bots usually get redesigned in ways to allow them to cope with changes made to the game intended to break them. Breaking bots is only a short-term fix usually.
  12. Make sure you ticket this in-game as well. Reporting the bug here will help get the problem researched and possible solved, but the only way to get them to look into whether you are owed an item or some comms is to open a ticket in-game. Best of luck to you!
  13. I agree with Ratajack. There is nothing to gain by giving more of the game away for free. Any difference it might make to player population would most likely just be caused by subscribers dropping down to preferred because preferred status was made more lucrative and less disadvantageous.
  14. You're actually a bit over-the-top for minimum specs. However, you did state "buying new" and those are the low-end parts that are available today in new computer. But there are a lot of older hardware options that are fully deprecated that are well-fit to running SWTOR. I can get High graphics settings with shadows turned off on my old Core2Duo E8500 Wolfdale cpu with a GTX 260 gpu. Any Core2Duo cpu and 8800GT gpu or better will do for minimum specs.
  15. When 4 players all focus you at once, it doesn't really matter if they are the fotm class or what ability they all hit you with. You're probably going to die anyways. The problem with line of thinking is you are trying to solo a group PVP situation. It isn't you versus 4 opponents. It's your team versus their team. Learn to work as a team better and make it a 4 versus 4 situation to increase your odds of surviving.
  16. If you are buying a computer to play the games that have been released this year then yes, the i3 is a viable choice. However, the reason we recommend an i5 over an i3 is because the lifetime of an i5 and it's ability to process data for games that haven't been released yet is greatly superior to that of an i3. In 2 years there will be games that your i3 will struggle to run, while the i5 will still be able to crunch data with clocks to spare. Never build a computer around the notion that the cpu is "enough" for the software you want to run. When you build a computer you choose a cpu that is at least double the amount of processing power needed. This ensures the cpu continues to serve your needs well into the future without requiring expensive upgrades every couple of years. Especially when you consider that Intel comes out with a new die-cast and cpu socket every couple of years and then deprecates the oldest ones. Trying to upgrade your cpu 2 years from now when your socket has been deprecated usually means a new motherboard as well. Choosing the i5 over an i3 is future-proofing the computer to limit the need for expensive upgrades later.
  17. Routinely. In fact, I didn't start playing ranged at all until after 3.0. It takes about half a second to realize your standing in bad and maybe 1, 2 seconds tops to move out of it. FS was OP, I won't deny that, but standing it for the full duration of the AoE (short of being CC'd) gets you a special seat on the short bus in my opinion.
  18. I think the best solution is to keep pressuring Microsoft to allow Android apps to run on Windows Phones. http://www.itworld.com/article/2872634/microsoft-might-let-android-apps-run-on-windows-phone.html Here is an article where a former employee states is something MS has considered. MS has lost the battle for market share and there is little hope for them to gain traction in the market. Apps are the only real area where Windows Phones fall short, in fact, I would love to have a mobile phone that combines access to MS Office applications and the open-source Android app store. As a developer though, you couldn't pay me to waste even an hour trying to port an exiting mobile app to the Windows Phone platform. There is no way to justify the cost of paying a programmer to do it when you consider how small the market is for Windows Phone users.
  19. I'd venture to say that expecting a response on the forums even during operating hours is ridiculous.
  20. My apologies, you are correct. I had to look it up, but I remembered the wording of the unlock differently for some reason. Glad I never paid for those unlocks now though. Seems like a waste of a lot of credits just to have a 3% improved chance at an augment slot when crafting.
  21. Wasn't this one of the animations that was removed shortly after launch because of issues with the animation related to combat delays? I seem to recall there was an animation that was removed entirely because its length exceeded the GCD was causing a combat delay for the next ability used. The more I think about this though, the more I want to say that was an ability for one of the melee classes.
  22. My problem with threads like this is there are no facts or numbers to back up the claims. You can't base balance around feelings and intuition. If Sorcs were nerfed too heavily, where are the HM Ops teams complaints? Where are the theorycrafters with their spreadsheets to show how badly the class is performing? Instead I just keep seeing SM players ranting about changes to their class. I want to believe the nerf was heavy handed, I truly do, but I want numbers that prove it, not gut feelings. I want to see parses comparing HM Sorcs to other HM dps classes that show more than a 2-3% difference. Its true that this nerf has put Sorcs closer to the bottom of the list for dps performance, but the differences I'm seeing are still only marginal. And it's entirely possible that this is simply because Bioware isn't done nerfing the other classes down to where they envision all dps classes should be. When I run on my Sorc, bosses still die. And I'm rarely the only dps sorc in the raid group. There is one huge trash pull in The Ravagers that takes a little more time to clear since the nerfs, but the added time hasn't caused any deaths and hasn't stressed the healers at all. To me, everything seems fine.
  23. But to be on topic... EDIT: removed the rest in light of a correction from another community member. My apologies.
