I'm pretty upset about this from a PvE perspective, but also understand why it's needed for PvP. It's a shame I just started to gear out and raid with my Hatred Sin and going from mid to low tier overall damage to 2nd to worst, as a melee on top of it all, just makes you not want to bring the class anymore. I may be over exaggerating, but time will tell I suppose. I really enjoyed Madness Sin and I am enjoying Hatred as well, so I hope the spec still remains viable from a DPS perspective.

It all depends on the class and spec. I would say the average class can have parsing ranging from a 200~300 dps difference, but there are some specs (like AP PT) that I have seen 700+ dps differences in parses of my own.

Pretty sure it is. Went through extensive testing and these numbers just don't look right. Here's the tooltip and here's 1 parse example (mainly look at the Takedown avg dmg and avg crit)

While you're at it Tait have 'em take a look at the Takedown damage as it appears to be doing roughly 1k~ less than its tool tip damage says. Can send logs if needed.

Had to chime in, & honestly some mechanics are a lot more challenging than anything else on tier. Here is our YouTube channel showing all boss fights in 8 & 16m from all POV's (tank, dps, & heals) so you can make your own analysis of this tier Revan & Coratanni in particular are very fun fights that keep you engaged the entire way through.

As others have stated already that was my main issue with the mechanic; the lack of being able to determine what it was based on what was handed to you. It truly is one of, if not the, hardest mechanic based fights in this games (including NiM) which is great, but do I think more than 2-3 guilds will clear this in its current state? Probably not. Will it receive a nerf of some kind? Probably. Are Bounty Hunters still awesome? Duh. I hope many others clear this fight as it is really an experience to learn and master all the mechanics. I wish those pulling it currently the best of luck & to try and enjoy it

Long story short, yes there are many reasons to believe this fight is possible in its current state.

The "Unstable Abberations" (aka the Purple Circles) are the ones that can push you through Hydraulics & any other cheese. The pulls & pushes remain untouched.

This is true. For maximum up-time currently having all BH DPS is probably the most beneficial. May not be needed, but doesn't hurt.
