  1. So I'm going to let me sub run out. What happens to my stronghold and the bays in it I have full of stuff? Any other other gotcha's I should think about? Thanks
  2. lol, as a Sorc that is not far from the truth. Also you can augment the orange armor not the PvP pieces. That way you keep the augments when you upgrade to the next level of PvP gear.
  3. http://dulfy.net/2014/01/20/swtor-vengeance-and-rage-juggernaut-dps-class-guide/ While leveling just keep grinding it out. Mod tables are for adding aug slots to your armor/implants/MH,OH.
  4. OP did not specifically state that. Some people use the guides while leveling to get the rotation down. Or other bits of info they can gain from it. Just saying. Generating more threat then the tank. Tank starts fights Mara jumps in starts bursting Boss switches and now healer has to work to keep a medium armor AC with little defensive up.
  5. I have it at on one toon my Mara so I can switch from single burst/AOE spec. Is it really worth it on some classes vs others? Plus if OP is just PVPing unless he has multiple set bonuses is it really worth it? What classes do you find it useful?
  6. The more people that know the more attention it will draw. Some one who thinks it unfair or can't will complain. See slot machine. If I can make 90K in 10 mins of clearing a FP. BW agree's with xyz complaint and boom nerf. The difference I see is quick small amounts of credits vs long time higher credits. Thats why I don't really care about the GTN. I just don't have the time to do that in my 2 hour play.
  7. I think a lot of people don't share because it will give them more competition or BW will nerf the method. I personally like doing FP's at 60 you fight 55 lvl npcs and can make 80 to 150k for a little work. Plus if you do it with the correct gathering skill you can get mats. AOE classes help.
  8. With the pre 3.0 reusables it can save some money on having to buy meds/stims. Treek is good for heals Quinn is alright but can't fill that tankable position if needed. Other use DPS to burn down things quicker I honestly switch depending on what I feel at the time. That's at 60 though with good gear yavin comp gear. Leveling and keeping gear up can be a pain. Yes other classes are FAR better/easier to level. Mara's are not in a good place atm. Yet they can be rewarding if played right.
  9. True true. Nothing was ever stated in this thread about in what situation. It is totally better to use the group buff over giving yourself a 10% increase. However, being asked to take on add's or to peel being able to burst down that would be helpful as well. If timed right you can still use frenzy to get instant 30 stacks to pop beserk or if you already have 3 stacks of destruction. Yes, a lot don't know how to use all of our skills thats part of the fun knowing when to buff group with either offensive or defensive or yourself.
  10. Depends on the PVE. If your just running dailies or bashing down mobs. That extra 3 stacks of destruction (don't know pub naming) for a smash or raging burst for another big hit. For a raid or Boss and you don't want to pull agro from the tank ,then give the 10% bonus from Bloodthirst | Inspiration to the group yea. However, our class is not really that desirable for such actions. I'm sure there is some over lap on cool downs that allows you say ever now and then do that extra burst of damage where both Bloodthirst and Berserk will be up. Maybe if you have to help with an add or a peel.
  11. Some times something is better then nothing. PVP has way more variation adding in stuns/KB/Roots. etc.. It's all good because normally you would want to pop your stims etc before your huge hitters. Then before you can pop beserker and frenzy and then blood thirst. Did not get to write it all out while at work. :)
  12. Fury is the primary AOE spec useful for leveling as you always get lots of adds and packs of mobs, however in 3.0 it also adds a big single target damage move as well. From a leveling stand point most things will revolve around Smash it wont really get good until level 44. When you get Destruction at 44, you can build up to 3 stacks those increase damage of smash(AOE) or raging burst(Single) by 5%. There are other passives/combos that will also increase that damage. Build up to 30 stacks of fury: Force charge - Battering assault - fury strikes - Smash/raging burst -force crush -or Frenzy-> Smash/raging blast - Force scream -Berserk or filler to 30 stacks - Obliterate- berserk - Smash/raging blast : Or you can swap the 1st raging burst for a smash, if you find mobs are leaving you to agro your companion or what not. Also use Cloak of Pain. Might be a tight window with raging blast sundering the target for 45s and moving to Obliterate range for the 10% boost from sundered target and crit on Obliterate semi correct.... However you can swap in raging blast if you are at the right level. It would be best if you do another attack before your first raging blast for that extra 5% damage add. Filler is anything to build up to your next berserk. . You might need to run out to 10m in order to use Obliterate there used to be a perk to use it at any range but I think we lost it after 3.0. Fury is pretty simple build up. Then AOE or single target as needed with hopefully 3 stacks of destruction. Oh yea for fury strikes I would use when available for the defensive boost. edit to fix the rotation.. still might need a little tweaking. but again.. I'm no expert.
  13. Now if only we could shoot bolts from our sabers at range, with hunker down, and evasion. Leth has a slow ramp up time also Maybe good for ops.. dunno. Sorry OP could not hold back.
  14. Run Flash points. With the right ones you will face lvl 55 npcs. Depending on crew skill you can harvest the kills for mid tier mats for sell or GTN. Plus items to sell or gear for an alt. Plus you can send your other comps out on other missions if needed. Also if you are not max comp affection you can get that as well. One other plus you don't have to fight for mob kills or resources. Just my 2 cents. Also when doing dailies look at time vs reward. If you have to travel across many different zones for kills might not be worth it. unless you are heading in that direction. Example Makeb sensor repair has you going from start to end just to click a node surrounded by NPC's. However, the one to plant bombs on doors. speader through no fights plant 4 bombs on quick respawn doors. Fast travel back insta credits.
  15. Pretty much this. Cookie cutter specs now. No real open world PVP. The things I do have no effect outside of my story line even then most of the stories don't change in the end. I'm just finishing up two AC's then meh. PVP is the same stun/root/knock back. So much potential just washed away, with so much content. The CM is meh, not that I'm a RP'er but some of the stuff is just dumb. IMHO.
  16. Pretty much this. Carnage is single target . However staying on target can be rough with all the knock backs/stuns. Most NPC mobs don't kite so there is that... Annihilation is DOTs with a spread option via smash lots of target switching if you need to spread out the DOTs. It has a self heal via crits on DOTs. However I think you get that at later levels. Very slow ramp up. You might find you kill NPC's to fast to let your DOTs heal you for much. Not like before. Fury: AOE with a single target burst. So This relies on building 3 stacks of overload(I think) for max damage on your smash or raging burst. Raging burst also has a little range to it so it helps if a target is away from you or your running back into the fight. 10m according to the tool tip. FOR ME when I leveled back when the game first came out... It was Fury. AOE vs many mobs was great. Later Annihilation was good. However if I was to do it now I would stick to Fury and then go Carnage when I had my healer comp and at later levels. Just my 2cents worth. You will still have problems staying on target and keeping your HP up so BIO chem with resuables was helpful. Treek if you can get her early will be a big help. Always keep your DC ups and learn to use interrupts/ sending comp in first. You are NOT A TANK nor do you have a bubble to mitigate damage. Also force choke can be used as a second interrupt . It's a fun class but can be very unforgiving at times. Sure some one knows more/better then me. So yea... Hope it helps.
  17. There are not lockbox missions past the 400 mark. You need to set it down to I think 41-50 to get the lockbox missions to pop in that range. I can't really speak on the other parts as I don't know. I've gotten a few items from doing the special missions and crits however I use Treek or HK or comps with + to crit. It's not a lot as the lower levels though.
  18. I found a few augments of alacrity makes it flow a little better. Yet, that is just me. If you plan on PVP/PVE you will need two set's of orange gear. Unless you are really rich and afford to swap the items out. Or plan on just using the shells that come with the PVP gear. The problem is that you have to turn them in to get to the next level of pvp gear, and you will lose the augment slot. Assuming you buy two full sets of shells and you're going to PVP. You will need to get 162/168 armoring/mod's/enhancements based on how bolstering works. This will give you 2018 expertise. Then when you buy your PVP gear you can swap the items into that shell replacing the 162/168 items. Leaving the augments in place (they are not affected by bolster). If you kept your shells from the forged alliance you can use those or buy the items from Rishi(I think)
  19. Just wanting to make sure I understand the flow of this. 1) @60 get the low level gear in place of the top tier PvE gear. This max's expertise 2) Get MH/OH, relics first 3) Work to replace low level gear with unranked gear via swapping the pieces into a shell(look) you like or just swapping pieces if you swapped If you get the full 2018 bonus do you what's the point of the unranked gear? You can still augment those pieces correct with lvl 60 augments correct? As they have no effect on bolster? Thanks. Sorry I've not PvPed since the start of this game which if I remember was more of a flat lvl bonus. Anyways. Thanks again.
  20. So is this only for pre-60 pvp? I read it a few times and just want to be sure I understand it correctly. I've not played this in a awhile.
  21. I pay 15 to support the game because I like it. However once I get to end content and can't do anything more productive and it becomes a grind then I will speak with my wallet. Will my sub be the nail in the coffin? Nope, will I be missed most likely not. However it's one less person in WZ, one less person selling cheap stuff on GTN, etc... etc.. which leads to other stuff but meh. Like I said I want the story not the loot with out being bugged by crabby guild mates.
  22. Sounds great. Doubt it will happen. Due to xyz events I too miss a lot of stuff. I would like a solo mode with no rewards if need be. I wont the story elements with out having to worry about spacebaring through everything or worrying that I'm not standing in the right spot during a fight and get dropped from group. These are great aspecs of group play and guilds but I don't have hours to wait for people to get ready while I only have an hour to play. Worst case.. watch youtube, unsub, and play random f2p mode.
  23. I had problems doing it also and after looking at the rewards figured its not really worth doing. However the Heroic 4 seems to be way easier. I found that doing the 2 had a lot of add's that bursted me down pretty quickly. The boaster did give me a little more HP so might as well pick it up. I went with a heal comp and just picked the weaker mobs when doing a pull and used my DC's as needed. I died close to the final boss and stealthed rez to him and was able to recover in a corner without getting aggro, pulled boss and was able to just pull him.
  24. This. Now I can use other companions and not waste time sending them on worthless missions and do more content with out having to worry about a timer on another alt. Heck maybe it's a plan to get rid of the gathering skills at some point. For end game if you're looking at making a lvl 37 armoring you still need a matter transubstantiator and those are not available (or I might have missed them). Just looks like they are making it easier for people to get geared up. Which means more play time vs farming for c's or mats that is just boring.
  25. So... At the end of the new Xpac. I was in a set of 186 gear... it's my understanding that once the xpac goes out to all players they will most likely get the same stuff. Then allow them to go on to get the 192/198 gear. So that would make the bottom fall out of the 186 gear market as every one will get a semi decent set to roll onward. So is it about the profit from those players whom have to buy that level gear in order to play on the same level as those with the Xpac? With the flood of mat's/item's price will go down allowing them easier access to that gear.
