  1. Rofl, people are finally starting to see what the messed up game mechanics are, I was hoping for later rather than sooner. Surge is ridiculously easy to get and it doesn't have a hard cap, it's one of the mechanics that I didn't want people to know about that's producing those high numbers, power is the other one. Neither have a hard cap and are easy to obtain. That's why I keep telling people it's game mechanics that are broken and not actual classes themselves. Any class can do the damage scoundrels/operatives are doing if they have a high surge rating and a lot of power. That's what those scoundrels/operatives use to get those insane numbers. I would rather Bioware know what the problem is now, then for them to start nerfing classes based on broken stats with no hard caps in the future. That is the only reason I'm finally revealing this to the masses.
  2. Rofl, made up imaginary scenarios like the one quoted above are what bad game developers base their nerfs on, we shall see if Bioware falls for the bait. If they do, this game is doomed.
  3. Oh but it is modable and there in lies the problem and why the stat that shall not be named is so abuseable.
  4. Wrong, it's not power, rofl.. You're not even close. It's a stat not many use or even know what it does.
  5. Lol it's not only the consumable, it's a certain stat that I will not name with no hard cap that is causing these damage problems. This type of damage can be done by any dps class in the game if they abuse the mechanic that I'm talking about.
  6. Rofl, even then it isn't possible, a lot of those numbers are being made up by people trying to get the rogue classes in this game nerfed. You would be surprised at the amount of made up scenarios posted on game forums to try to get a class nerfed into the ground. The sad thing is that developers usually cave in to these made up scenarios without ever testing them for themselves.
  7. Because the other people are dumb maybe? Maybe it's because the more intelligent players rolled a rogue (Scoundrel or Operative in this game)? It's usually the case that I have seen in MMOs since I started playing them way back in 1997. Usually the brightest players play a rogue class, I'm not too sure why but they do. You have claimed that you don't see other players stim stacking and then say they don't do the burst that scoundrels/OPs do, did you not read what you wrote before writing it? They aren't doing the burst scoundrels/OPs are doing because they are not expertise buff stacking, that is the exact reason why..
  8. Rofl, this thread has so many lies from the OP that it's hilarious. Bioware needs to release a combat log and fast so we can debunk all these false troll threads trying to get the rogue classes in the game nerfed. People are always trying to get rogue classes nerfed in MMOs, since UO it's been like that. People just don't like the idea of someone coming out of stealth and having an advantage over them. As a healer/support player I have never had a problem with rogues but it seems the MMO masses are so bad that they will never learn how to counter them.
  9. The irony in your sig is hilarious, especially since you consider OPs/Scoundrels OPd.
  10. Rofl, you play an assassin and call scoundrels/operatives OPd? I can do the same thing a scoundrel can with a few extra advantages on an assassin.
  11. Rofl, why was this thread even made? If Bioware has any sense and knows anything about their game, no classes will be nerfed, the mechanics that are causing the insane dps will.
  12. It would be hilarious if he was because those two classes have no right to call Operatives/Scoundrels OPd, at all. It's like everyone wants their class to be the only one that can do damage and everyone else to be nerfed, it's hilarious. I don't even play a dps specced scoundrel, I'm healing specced but I know how to deal with one because I leveled as a dps spec. I also know about the mechanic that also causes my heals to produce insane values, not only dps.
  13. I thought you found out what the mechanic was, yet you still believe that Scoundrels/Operatives are OPd? You should roll a toon on my server, I'll make a new toon and get it to 50 just to prove my point. I'll damage you with those same numbers that the so called OPd scoundrels/operatives do with any dps class in the game. You can choose the class for me and I'll show you how powerful the abuse of the mechanic that shall not be named is.
  14. Not going to lie, Scoundrel/Operative healing needs a nice buff.
  15. If you know what it is, why are you still claiming that Scoundrels/Operatives are OPd? Are you serious, kid? You don't know what it is, you can stop trying now. It has nothing to do with the classes, I can guarantee you that I can do that massive amount of dps on any class that I play because of the mechanic that I'm not disclosing out to you.
  16. It's not imaginary and I will not tell you what it is, you saying that I'm spewing bs is not going to change that. I played this game since closed beta, I'm not about to teach you how to abuse a game mechanic. The fewer people that know about it, the better. The people that know what it is, know what I'm talking about. I even gave you the hint that something needs a hard cap, which means I'm obviously talking about a stat or a buff. I just can't believe Bioware didn't put a hard cap on it before release, although players didn't really report it. I honestly don't think Bioware tested their game much if at all. In closing, all the classes are fairly balanced, some need some buffs (No nerfs are needed.). CC immunities need to be introduced and the pvp in this game will be golden. No classes need to be nerfed at all, some classes do need buffs however. The broken game mechanics that me and a few other people know about, need to be fixed, that's it.
  17. Have you bothered to look at the scoundrel skills to see what damage the actual skill does? No, then stop typing while you're ahead. There's a reason why the opener is doing that much damage and every other heavy hitter for every other class in the game is capable of doing that type of damage but I will never mention it here. If Bioware hasn't figured it out yet, I can honestly say this game is doomed. It's not the class at all, it's a faulty game mechanic that produces those numbers. Stop calling Scoundrels/Operatives OPd, if you don't know what you're talking about. Once more people figure out the mechanic that I'm talking about, you'll see those types of numbers from every class in the game. What then, will you guys ask every class in the game to be nerfed into oblivion? Think before spewing bs about something that you have no clue about.
  18. Rofl, this game has so many terrible players that don't know anything about the game's mechanics that it isn't even funny anymore. The reason why scoundrels/operatives and every other class in the game can pull those types of numbers is because the expertise buffs are stacking, it's being fixed in 1.1 though so it will be a non issue. There's a few other things that add to the insane dps that I will not mention in this thread because I don't want everyone in the game doing them. I will tell you that it has nothing to do with the classes and everything to do with retarded game mechanics (Something needs a hard cap and I will not mention what it is.), with that I will end it there. All these whiners haven't even hit 50 yet, I played the game since closed beta and I can honestly tell you that the classes are pretty balanced, there's just some more intelligent players that most likely rolled the rogue classes and are abusing the game's mechanics so they make the class look OP'd, when it's not the class at all, it's a game mechanic. Don't ask me what it is because if you haven't figured it out, you're probably not 50 yet and are so terrible that you don't deserve to know what it is.
  19. People need to learn the mechanics of the game before calling a class OPd, *********** ******* in MMOs, I swear. Good job OP, on calling out all the idiots claiming that scoundrels/operatives are OPd. The problem is with the expertise buffs stacking, which is being fixed. Every single class can pull those numbers because of the stacking expertise buffs and a few other things that I will not mention here because I don't want everyone in the game doing it.
  20. It's a learn to play issue, people always try to get rogue classes nerfed in MMOs because the people that play rogue classes are usually better players over all. It's funny because even if rogues still get nerfed, those bad players will still be bad and will still get strafed/out maneuvered and ***** by a skilled rogue class player.
  21. Scoundrels and Operatives aren't OPd, the stacking expertise buffs are, people need to hit 50 and actually look at all the different variants before claiming a class is OPd, so many idiots in MMOs.. Scoundrels and Operatives are no where near what WEs could do before they got nerfed, I had a RR75 WE in War and was RR 50ish before the nerf and they were pretty OPd, as a WE player I will admit that. Funny thing is that even after they got nerfed I still won every pvp conflict I was ever in because I was better at movement/strafing than most other melee players. In melee fights, the player with better movement/skill will usually win and I think that's the case with Operative/Smuggler players in this game, people that play rogues usually have better movement and are generally better players than other people that play melee classes. Too much terribads that get out played/out maneuvered in MMOs calling classes OPd because the other player was clearly better than them. I have destroyed everyone I have come across since I started pvping at lvl 10 on my scoundrel and that's before scoundrels even get flechette round to ignore 50% armor. So, I think it's more of a LTP (Learn to Play) issue than anything else. If someone is strafing the crap out of you and always being at your backside while you only activate one skill while they manage to activate 5-6 skills (While strafing and always staying behind you.), it's a fault of the player being bad and not the class being OPd.. Learn to Move, to counter strafe, for christ's sake, learn to play. I say this as someone who has mainly played support/healers in MMOs since UO, people really need to learn to move/kite and play. I'm specced for healing now but was a DPS specced scoundrel to level up and I never have a problem surviving against operatives or scoundrels (When I encounter them in hutball.), so I think this is really a learn2play issue. Only time I have a problem surviving against any class, not only scoundrels/operatives is when someone is abusing the expertise buffs and stacking them. That has nothing to do with the classes though and everything to do with the buffs stacking (Which is being fixed in 1.1).
  22. They're going to start nerfing classes because of some terrible pvpers that probably shouldn't be pvping anyways because they feel entitled and believe that their classes shouldn't be killed by x class and that they should always win 1v1s. When developers start basing pvp balance on what some terribad claimed happened to them in a 1v1, the game really starts going downhill.
  23. Ok, I'm really baffled by that one bolded statement. Are you seriously going to start nerfing classes based on someone's experience in 1v1? PvP balance should never be based on a 1v1 encounter as there are many factors that player complaints don't care to factor in. The player being terrible is one of them, a lot of MMO players are. There is no such thing as an anticipated killing time in pvp because there are many things that need to be factored in, if you guys swing the killing time the other way and make it harder for people to get kills, you'll be doing back and forth nerfs every patch. The game is pretty balanced as far as classes go in a group vs group situation, only things like grenade damage need to be adjusted, classes don't. Some classes should be buffed so that they can kill easier, no class needs their damage to be toned down though.
  24. Why should we care about your pveness and you worrying about out leveling a world in pve, are you serious? PvPers want to level by "gasp" pvping and not pveing.
