  1. The first part of your post is ridiculous and wrong. I haven't come across a battlemaster geared dps that can singlehandedly burst me down (Im champion geared). They can pop every single consumable they have and even get the expertise buff, and they still will not be able to kill me. Why? because I have cooldowns too. I literally become a healing god when I use reactive shield. I can easily hold off 4-5 geared dps with reactive shield+relic+adrenal. I will stand there in one spot taking 20% less damage and healing myself for constant streams of 5k+ heal crits + advanced medical probe HOT+ trauma probe. Also, why do you care about 1v1's? Why are you off by yourself in a warzone? If you are guarding an objective by yourself, why are you trying to dps anyone that attacks? Aside from that, yes you can 1v1 certain specs and win by just spamming hammer shot/kiting/LOSing. Against other specs that can heal, it's going to be a stale mate. You wont kill them, and they wont kill you. This is a good thing however, if you are guarding an objective, because that person will just be wasting their time trying to kill you. Also, if you are a healer and you are trying to get damage medals, you need to reroll dps. I play to win, and to win, I heal. Sure, I won't gain ranks as fast as the people who play to get medals, but I sure as hell am going to make those guys bad. I'll take my 400k+ healing over 100k damage and 150k heals any day. (I have screenshots of 600k of legit 90% single target healing too)
  2. When I was lvl 24 as a sentinel I was getting top damage in warfronts with lvl 40+ in the match. I could also easily 1v1 those lvl 40+. The higher lvl I get, the easier this is to do. This is using the watchman tree. The trick is to know when to use your cooldowns and how to position yourself. -Don't use rebuke when someone is not attacking you. -Don't draw attention to yourself! -Don't open with a leap if you can help it. -Don't use guarded by the force unless your health is under 10%. -Use pacify on someone who is attacking you or someone you deem important. -If you are being attacked by more than 2 enemies, use force camo or saberward+rebuke. -HELP YOUR HEALERS -Don't draw attention to yourself! -Pick off the ranged+healers standing off to the side. -Don't use dots or big burst abilities on someone who is about to die. -Use your interrupts! -Don't draw attention to yourself! -Also, DON'T DRAW ATTENTION TO YOURSELF!!! You are not Aragorn, you can't run head first into a group of enemies and expect to live for more than 5 seconds. If you are being attacked by 2+ enemies and you are not being healed, get the hell out of there, don't just stand there asking yourself where the healer is because unless you have all your cooldowns you are about to get your *** handed to you.

    Good Job BW!

Every other class can be stacked to face roll. Imagine 6 sentinels (a class that so far has not bee called OP as far as I'm aware) attacking the same guy. Or 6 focus spec'd sentinels jumping into a crowd and all hitting force sweep at the same time. How about 6 BH's stacking death from above. Or 6 operatives opening on one guy, then all vanishing and opening on another guy. Good lord... what if you had 6 snipers attacking the same person.
  4. Funny thing is, as a healer I spam insults and emotes to get people to attack me because I have an easier time keeping myself up than most of my allies who just stand there and get beat up by enemy dps. So I say things like "UMAD", "get *****!", "Baddies!", or spam /lol and /dance. People get so upset by this and start tunnel visioning me. Although, i must be honest, there is some gratification in messing with the heads of angry people.
  5. I'm so very glad you said that. On my commando I have solo'd geared operatives and sorcerers as a gunnery spamming grav round. Funny how the game works.
  6. Yes, that is exactly what i would do as well. But i wanted to stress in this post that a sentinel can keep a merc locked down with interrupts. Also, the only ability bugs I've come across with sent is when force stasis and master strike start channeling and doing the animation but doesn't do anything at all. Other than that, ive gotten pretty good at spamming an ability until it decides to work.
  7. The simpler the class, the less of an impact skill has on it. How does skill help you spam grav round? This is what happens when a sentinel fights a merc: Merc: Starts casting tracer missle Sent: force leap (TM interrupted) Merc: knockback Sent: starts running towards BH Merc: starts casting tracer missle Sent: Force stasis (TM interrupted) Merc: CC break + 4sec stun Sent: CC break + force camo Sent: opens with cauterize Merc: Starts casting tracer missle Sent: force kick(TM interrupted) Merc: Starts casting tracer missle....again Sent: force leap (TM interrupted again) Merc: starts spamming /cry in chat Sent: /flex +uses rebuke and saberward and lets BH free cast tracer missle doing while sent ravages BH with dots and merciless strikes. Merc: finally gets armor pen stacks up and uses unload, and his two instants. Sent: just used pacify on the bounty hunter before the above happened lol Merc is at 5% health, sent at 60% Sent: spams /dance in chat Merc: continues to attack stopping the sentinel's futile attempts at /dancing Sent is now at 5% health Sent: uses guarded by the force, /dances one more time, and finishes the BH off.
  8. Idk, maybe, but mercs have always been the easiest class for me to heal through. Surprisingly, powertech pyros are much more difficult to heal through.
  9. The only testing I've gotten against them are from 50 BHs in warzones. These guys actually rank on the low end in terms of burst. I can effectively keep myself at 100% hp during the tracer missile spam. Once they hit their version of high impact shot and explosive charge, they generally only take out about 30-50% of my hp if they both crit.
  10. Sentinel is definitely not underpowered. At lvl 30 I am topping warzone damage charts in games with 70% of the players higher lvl than I. I have yet to lose a 1v1 with a lvl 40+ enemy. With that being said, I use the watchman tree in PvP. If used correctly this class, in my opinion, is borderline OP (especially in 1v1 situations) (pacify, saber ward, rebuke, guarded by the force, force camo, and force stasis are all absolutely amazing cooldowns with many only having a 1min cooldowns!). As for solo PVE, the focus tree is the way to go. Since this is a great AOE tree, you can teak out all those weak mobs rather quickly. When zen is up, you go on a slash rampage and can finish off entire rooms/areas before you have to rest. I've yet to try group PvE on this character, so idk about it.
  11. If sentinel/marauders are late bloomers then why am I getting top dps in warzones at lvl 30 and solo killing lvl 40+? I haven't even gotten guarded by the force yet!
  12. Operatives are not destroyed. This class is all about getting the initiative. Operatives have the pleasure of starting any fight with their target at a lower percent of hp than them. Sure they don't have the sustained damage of other dps, but that's because, again, they start the fight with the advantage. However, i did make a thread before about not nerfing operatives because of the mere fact that this is a team game and that teammates should be CCing the operative during their opening phase to prevent them from doing that much damage before the stunlock is over. I'll tell you exactly why I would want a scoundrel on my team helping me dps on my sentinel, for example. As a sentinel, i don't have any CC that allow me to stun my target while simultaneously being able to attack them. An operative can assist me by knocking down my target while most likely taking at least 40% of the targets hp (even after the nerf) at the very beginning. This allows me to use master strike and follow that up with the rest of my rotation. The target will probably have about 3 seconds to react before he dies (which is not enough). Well then, why not take a sage that has more CC to assist me? Because scoundrel burst >>>>>>>> sage burst. I have done plenty of tests on my healer to see which classes do the biggest burst. I would duel someone and let them go all out on me. My conclusion is...... gunslinger/snipers have the biggest burst in the game with operatives/scoundrels in second place. Sorc/sages have low burst compared to these two classes. Now... why are operatives/scoundrels a better burst class than gunslingers/snipers? Because the latter can be easily (and I mean easily) LOS'd.
  13. What a cop-out. You go from being a warrior in rift to ROGUE in swtor!? For shame. Where is your warrior pride!? /endtroll
  14. I try to, but I never have time to with the specs I play . Unless, every now and then, I decide to go dps and spam grav round.
  15. Scoundrel/operatives and vanguard/powertech are melee. Mortor volley and death from above both have a ramp-up time. There are no other abilities that are instant for BH and not for trooper. Also, only the bad melee have trouble with ranged in huttball. All you need to do is charge them, pull them, or stealth to them. If they are in cover, you can easily LOS them and do something else with your time.
