  1. Says it hits all enemies nearby, it only hits 5. I had a group of 9 reps that I was trying to aoe, could only hit 5 at once. It says "all nearby targets".
  2. Dunno, I dont have shadows enabled. Im talking about the spell effects. Look at force lightning, thats the most noticible chance Ive seen. There are some other things but I cant pin them down just yet.
  3. Does anyone notice that the graphics suddenly seem sharper, cleaner, and more intense? I dunno, maybe its just me, but suddenly my companions force lightning seems more noticable and intense and particle effects seem more sharp and clear. I havent changed anything and as far as I know my comp hasnt done any updates in the past few days. Anyone else noticing this? Did they stealth change something? Its not from the AA, I only noticed this today and I turned off AA the day it came out.
  4. I've actually thought a lot about this idea. I would love to see an mmo that has it coded in that x skill checks if player, if so, it does y damage. This way they can adjust damage and whatnot specifically for pvp without affecting pve.
  5. What would this system be? How would it compare with pvp? What kind of system would please you?
  6. How you think they could make buff/debuff classes viable in pvp? I'm not arguing, I'm generally curious.
  7. I'm genuinely interested in opinions on this subject. I hear a lot of: Don't nerf us, buff all them. In regards to something like the op nerf, where crits could essentially one shot people, how would you like to see other classes buffed to fix the problem? Keep in mind, saying something like "buff everyones hp or armor" gives rise to a damage nerf to every other class. Please discuss, I'd like to hear cogent ideas on the mentality of nerf vs buff.
  8. If they dont implement things wow has, people complain and rage quit. If they do, people get on their backs for adding it. How can they win?
  9. There is no avoiding math, in fights there is your hp, your party's up, and the npcs hp. Skills fall into 3 types, removing hp, replacing hp and slowing down or speeding up the first two. This leaves room for 4 basic actions; healing, damaging, absorbing, or buffing/debuffing. Buff/debuff classes have a long history of either not being played because they can't solo or pvp, or becoming op by giving them comparable dps but with the buff/debuff edge. Even in gw2, you will end up having a tank, a healer, and dps. It just ends up happening that way due to the innate nature of combat math.
  10. Because how is a non combat class going to level? Participate in content, and pvp?
  11. I want a role that sits in the back of the group on a data pad trolling forums. If successful, the opposite team gets a "trolled" debuff that makes them too angry to click their skills correctly. Or maybe a whiner role for the op?
  12. I'm an assassin, deception speced. I don't even feel squishy like I'm apparently supposed to according to the forums.
  13. Our op is our tank healer (im our tank), our sorc is our aoe healer. It's working for us. Maybe read up on your class? Ps, the combat advantage cackle lets me know I'm about to be ok. But it's still creepy.
  14. I actuy expected this when I hit 50, but was pleasantly surprised to find that I'm easily able to go toe to toe with battle masters and have won 9/12 war zones I was queued in since hitting 50 2 days ago.
  15. It's because the devs want Sorcs to have..... ULTIMATE POWAAAA!!!!!
  16. Some people have been stacking massive amounts of surge. Its not a common stat, but if you mod for it, you can get it pretty high.
  17. Its true, power dosnt. Accuracy, power, tech power, heal power, force power, surge, and primary stats (willpower/str/end etc) dont cap. However, surge is currently op. You can stack it to achieve very high crits, capable of pretty much one shotting some people in pvp. This rebalancing is to fix that aspect.
  18. I love the pvp myself. I leveled one of my 3 toons exclusively using pvp and class quests. He just dinged 50 today, did my weekly (win 9 warzones) within 4 hours of dinging 50. My guess is that people are used to the wow pvp where fights last 2-4 seconds and its a gankfest. In swtor you have to actually be part of pvp, probably gets too much to handle for some people.
  19. It is not a nerf. It is balancing a stat that is unbalanced. This is an MMO, changes happen, the game progresses, things are changed. If you require an explanation every time, maybe MMOs arent for you?
  20. Most melee have ranged abilities they can use while getting out of aoe, also, most of the aoe in the game is placed, it isnt pbaoe, so tanks should be pulling bosses out of it or rotating them to allow dps not to stand in it. AoE is not the massive problem you are making it out to be.
  21. The advantage is already there. Melee have instant damage. Most ranged damage is cast timer or at least stationary damage. During fights that require moving around, nearly every ranged class (apart from perhaps tracer missile spammer mercs) will lose craploads of dps when they have to move. Melee dont have this issue. Also, in pve, most melee have some sort of talent to reduce aoe damage taken. I play a jugg and an assassin, I have no problems with melee dps. Edit: Even tracer missile spammers lose dps on movement heavy fights.
  22. It's meant to be used in conjunction with a clickable... You can have 2 relics.
  23. Yeah, that pretty much. Hopefully it comes soon. I would love to test, but dont really feel like leveling up a new toon specifically to do so.
  24. The main issue is that they arent offering character copying to the PTS yet. People dont want to roll a new char and level it up to test. If they allow copying, people will be more likely to go test the content and give feedback. The current setup only sees a small group of people actually testing, far too small a base to actually catch any issues before they go live.
