  1. Oh the days of star wars galaxies NGE when i if i wanted to i could equip a melee weapon on my officer beast master and spam buffs as fast as the CD's would let me, which was really fast, and just gut people while my pet reduced them to nothing but a feeble wet noodle.

  3. I found a 320 double-saber that doesn't look too bad, but it's a green, and it's "okay" looking. The hilt at least matches my motif and my preferred crystal color AND it rests on my hip. So there's that right?

  7. sounds like a bottleneck, then again you use comcast. Since you report that you have 20ms ping to server the chances of your being throttled by them are nil. The other option is are you running many other things in the background that are using the connection. Is your cell phone on your wifi, are you streaming movies from netflix and amazon while you play on a 2nd or 3rd monitor, are you running processor heavy programs in windowed mode while you play, is there a thief bogarting your wifi, Is your GPU overclocked, there are MANY things you could be suffering from these are a just a few of the EASY things to try to trouble-shoot. Generally no matter how over-powered your pc is this game is NOTORIOUS for not being SUPER SMOOTH for 99.9% of the people who play the game. I'm super jealous of some of the guys i watch who are running FULL everything in WZ's with Zero zilch nada performance loss.
  8. I use mine, but my faith that other people use their aggro dumps is very low. There is NO REASON any smuggler should NOT use their aggro dump anyway, it's classic. Aside from that aggro dumps are not on the GCD so you should use them on CD anyway. I totally agree with you that DPS should use their aggro dump 4-5 sec into the INITIAL pull, and adding to that every time the aggro dump comes off CD at least 2 or 3 times. After that it shouldn't be a necessity to aggrodrop anymore. On a side note: Guardian/Juggernaut tanks need to remember the "guardian leap / intercede " ability ALSO reduces threat on the player you guardian leap/intercede to. I'll guard ONE dps, usually a ranged, and if my other dps is melee i will just guardian leap on him if he pulls threat on a boss. Also: Remember that in ops, you guardian/jug dps should start guardian leaping on random ranged dps. This does a few things: Drops THEIR threat by a moderate ammount, puts you at range from the boss WHICH allows you to saber throw and jump, free rage/focus and it looks really cool to see leapers slingshot around. Don't start on "but we needz the deepz and i cantz deepz whenz i'mz flyingz throoz tha airz"
  9. I have 2 tanks, 3 heals, 7 dps. Que times lately have been fastest when queing as healer and dps on my SAGE and SORC. Best (lowest duration of wait time) times i have encountered for having faster ques by ROLE. morning: Tank, heals afternoon: Tank, DPS Evening: Tank, heals, as it seems lots of healers are on in the afternoon trying to get weekly's done before ops. Late night: Depends on the day, early in week fast ques for all. Later in the week queing as tank or heals seems to reduce wait time. REALLY LATE, oddly i get quicker ques as dps I know this won't make you feel better, but I have experienced 1+ hours of wait time as Tank at all times of the day. Sometimes I wonder about the group finder system. EDIT: I'm referring to level 55 toons ONLY in the above
  10. again, i'm talking at level 55 guys, when everyone has all their stuff. When i originally made this post I was talking about level 55's, somewhere along the line tactical got turned into SUB55 ques. I'm talking LEVEL55 ONLY. Sorry for the redundancy but this post was directed at level 55tactical flashpoints ONLY. Not sub 55. We are all aware that tanks at lower levels have crap mitigation and threat gen. Again... level 55!!!!
  11. People, i'm only talking about flashpoint Etiquette.... where it is appropriate "IF and WHEN" there is a tank to let them pull first especially on bosses and to AT LEAST let the group get caught up as not everyone has rocket boots to boost ahead like you do.

  13. So with the new tactical fp's it is possible to get into a group with 4 dps, 4 heals, 4 tanks, or any combination of that. So why when you get a tank, 2 dps, and a healer do we ignore the trinity in tactical Fp's, moreover why do people ignore that their is a tank and jump on ahead and pull before the tank? Is it because we all know they (tactical fp) are easy? I guess as a tank i get annoyed when people pull before me, as a healer i get annoyed when people pull before the tank cause NO MATTER how "OP" that particular person is pulling before the tank requires ME AS HEALER to work harder, and i REALLY hate as a DPS when the healer pulls before everyone. Now, is this because people are IMPATIENT or do they really see the encounter as NON-THREATENING? I'm inclined to assume most of you who are guilty of this are just impatient and use the reason "it is easy" as an excuse for your lack of patience. That is all. /endrant. Top 10 Reasons people are in such a big rush to complete the flashpoint, demand spacebar spam during every cutscene, and vote to kick anyone who isn't in a hurry or who is incompetent. 1: Their guildies are getting ready to run ops in 30 min and they need those last elite coms to get over the 30k HP requirement for DF sm. 2: Their guildies are getting ready to run ops in 30min and they need to get weekly 3fp's done to get the ultimate coms needed to get over the 36k hp requirement for DP Hm. 3: Their friends/guildies are logging in and are quing for pvp. They don't want to leave group even though they are a dps but also don't want to miss their beloved noob stomping with my friends in pvp. MUST SATISFY MEH TWITCH FOLLOWERS. 4: They are streaming on twitch and want to get back to pvp as they noticed they have over 100 people watching them. 5: I slaved at my job at google all day and i don't have time to wait while you "experience" the game, do that on YOUR time. 6: They have A.D.D. and literally CANNOT hold their attention long enough to wait for all cutscenes in Black Talon. 7: My guild RUNS at full speed through the whole flashpoint, why can't other people in a pug group with half the gear my guild has do the same?!?!?!!?!?! 8: I was carried through DPHM by my guild when i had level 53 gear, and now that i have 40k hp as a dps i don't have time to jibber-jabber in flashpoints with lesser individuals so they should go AT MY PACE, lightspeed! 9: I must get EVERY DAILY done EVERY DAY or MY BRAIN WILL EXPLODE, oh I also work 12 hour shifts and have kids therefore we MUST MUST MUST SPEED THROUGH ALL CONTENT. 10: I think i'm better than you and to prove it i'm going to pull before the tank on my Mara/Sin just to prove that they are capable of tanking HM Operations.
  15. No i'm very serious, no sarcasm here. I am just showing my sincere gratitude as i have LITERALLY been asking for these 2 things since beta and i'm really disappointed in all the flaming it is receiving from those 2 categories ( pvpers and hardcore ops runners ) of playstyle. *edited*
  16. Thank you guys, been wanting housing and guildships since launch and you are NOW finally giving it to me. BW PLEASE don't listen to the mass of pvpers flaming this great new thing you are giving us just because they are butthurt over the state of pvp. And please don't listen to the all the LEETEST newbs who are bored with DF and DP when they flame housing and guild ships in favor of more ops. Do we want more ops yes, do we want more pvp area's/options yes. BUT, do NOT scrap this plan of giving us our housing and guildships just becuase 200-300 pvpers are threatening to unsub. They can eat their keyboards and razor mice for all i care. That is all.
  17. Hello, Looking for a late night ops group that starts 9 or 10 PM Eastern time zone. Faction is not important to me I have 55's on both sides. Coming back to game after a few months away, my old guild died, and I prefer an adult oriented guild that is active. 55's = Jug tank, Sorc Dps, Scound healer, Sage healer/dps, Sentinal Combat dps, vanguard tank/dps pushing 50 = Shadow dps and Leth Sniper' Lowbies = merc heals, Anni Mara Contact me ingame or via reply or via PM Imps = Ifolad, Ifogroda, De'ifo Pubs = Ifo, Ifossa, Rhodea, Ifo'lek, Ifoza Toons i'm hardly on = Groda and Seenya Thanks in advance! EDIT *I would consider myself proficient in all ops less DP and DF as I have not been able to find a group to run with in those that is not a pug group.*

  19. THIS, i can't tell you how many full sets of that stuff I can craft, I have hundreds of those cubes from the old level 50 hardmodes that are required for making those. I know there are plenty of 50's out there who would buy them simply due to those skins being nowhere to be found anymore. I'm glad I kept all my old tion col rak gear for some nostalgia one of these days. But PLEASE PLEASE make the energized and exo craftables BOE. It wouldn't hurt to make the Rakata belts and bracers BOE either to go along with those. EDIT: wouldn't it be nice if armormech and synth could CRAFT suits with a 7pc bonus? Maybe make them have less stat and more something else? Make the set bonus's unique.

  23. you both obviously NEVER played SWG after beast handler was changed, it made pets from wow look like my tauntuan ram i got for being a founder on this game. That's mostly the angle I was going on this. And, honestly I hated WoW after I leveled a few toons and gear'd them. I might go back just to play around on my flying mounts from time to time though. I haven't been able to bring myself to firing up my SWGEMU either. Anyways, getting off topic again. Take it easy.
  24. Not necessarily, think about offhands that a guardian or jug uses. Replace offhand with weapon, weapon is appearance only, dmg and defense can be the same. The only thing that changes is the appearance of the weapon you are using. In this scenario my juggernauts 2nd saber would show 2 sabers animation, but the bonus would be nothing, the negatives would be nothing. It's as though I never removed my shield generator. That being said, since weapons are animation only it wouldn't be too difficult to accomplish this. In pvp it would be confusing until people learn to look at buffs. Oh that bounty hunter has 2 pistols, oh wait he's in tank stance duh, he's just a PT with 2 pistols. Same for Mara's and Sents, they could weild a saber staff or just one saber. Replace 2nd weapon with offhand that is a dps offhand. Dmg stays same, abilities still fire with one saber, again, the only thing that really changes is the animation, NOT the numbers. Again, the only problem i see with this is when people complain that mercenaries are running around throwing guard up on people cause these same people are not aware enough to look and see oh that's really JUST a pt. Or you get a Mara/Sent who cloaks FOREVER and then people realized it's just a shadow/sin dual wielding. Animations are the only things that would change here, dmg doesn't, mitigation doesn't. If they did it how i suggest anyway. Who doesn't want a sorce/sage healer who's got a saber-staff? I know I do.
  25. Just wondering if a new class, beast master/warden/keeper etc., would be appealing to anyone. I would be opposed to making it akin to hunter class from WoW but i'm unsure of any other methodology which could be implemented in a game like SWTOR. That being said..... It will have 3 skill trees. 1 tank, 1 ranged, 1 heals. melee or ranged could be totally dependent on the player and his/her style, IE skill trees can work with both melee OR ranged not both at same time to prevent weapon switching. The pets themselves could be aquired from any of the beasts found in swtor with a few exceptions such as world boss's and the like. But in and of itself the pets would be akin to skins of dps or tank or utility type. This way we don't have a billion cats and spiders running around just because they do the most dps or offer the most utility. Pets should be the level of their owner. Pets and class should be on par with everything else. IE, player + pet = player of non beast class. Lets not get started on the class balancing issues that exist already, and how we need to fix that first before we add more class's. If you are this person i agree with you. My idea is taking into consideration that BW balances the class's more effectively. AND YES i'm aware this is NOT a perfect world. So back to topic. Pets in and of them-self would not be equal to a companion character and as such a beast master SHOULD be allowed to have NPC companions as every other class does. The idea from a raid stand point is Beast master DPS + pet DPS = Standard DPS. The class in it's very nature is a utility class suitable for all rolls and excelling at none. It will offer good enough dps to be viable in raid and pvp, enough utility to be viable in pvp and open world questing, and as a tank spec would rely on the pet to help with mitigation and the like. Heals spec would simply provide increased range to heals or would improve the healing ability of player. Healing beast master class SHOULD NOT be more powerful or have MORE heal types than the other 3 healer classes. Less heals improved by pet spec into boosted healing etc. Naturally those who are seasoned pet handlers will find the utility in being able to send pet after one person while player attacks another, however the dps output is BEST when pet and master are focus targeting. This is all keeping in mind that pet ability + player ability/spec = standard non beast player. Players should be free to keep a farm's worth of beasts at their disposal, but only call 1 at a time. Players should be educated about the fact that single dps of a beast trainer will never = single dps of say a gunslinger or sniper, however pet dps + player dps SHOULD = the dps of a slinger/sniper for example. Can't reiterate this enough. Beast Trainers could have beast quests aimed at increasing the duality of the beast + trainer role. IE practice. The pets of a trainer SHOULD be effected by all normal things that effect everyone else, and thereby can die and have to be rez'd THOUGH i think the bm should be able to rez their pets at will ON CD OF COURSE, and NOT be able to summon a new pet to avoid the REZ CD which should be 2 min unless you spec into to reduce by 30 sec. However, i'm at a loss on how HP should work. Do pet and master have same HP pool, or do they have separate pools? I think they have separate pools however it gets shady when you start talking about a tank beast master where ideally both pet and master have tank appropriate HP. However in pvp, this could be a problem. Obviously if you kill the master the pet dies, but nobody wants a pet who can get 3 shot by every mara/sin out there 1v1. These situations bring up problems I will put more thought into in the future. Pets abilities will have an impact on resolve such that if a pet has a stun or mez ability resolve will be reflected appropriately. Again, lets not get into the "how resolve is BS" debate. That is another Topic and Another Thread. Pets will gain skill points based on level, and their level should be whatever the trainers level is. Trainers WILL NOT be able to tame beasts HIGHER than their current level. Pet skill trees will be severely dumb'd down versions of current skill trees available in game, and as such should be created in such a way as to be useful to how a trainer chooses to build his/her toon. Just my 2cents. Additions and ideas are welcome.
