  1. the new op didnt bring people in because the devs insisted on making SM GOTM hardmode and HM nightmare. Many pugs cannot complete it. For many people, the new op wasnt a way to generate conquest points, it was a way to generate repair bills. most guilds can at least get through sm, but pugs are so hit and miss, that people dont even bother to start a GOTM run. Once again, the devs catered to the 10 or 12 nim raiders in the game and disappointed the much larger pug enthusiasts. This new nim version of gotm isnt worth the effort it will take to make it.
  2. do you really have to claim hysteria in his post? He was never hysterical, using a pejorative like this in an attempt to make the poster unstable does not help any discourse. It makes you look like you are trying to attack the poster rather than his ideas.
  3. you are right..this isnt a pvp expansion....its a bunch of tiny line items that say pvp but no real expansion. people see 1. xxxxxpvpxxxxxx 2. xxxxxpvpxxxxx 3 xxxxpvpxxxxxx and they think its a huge pvp bonanza...its not, the roadmap didnt have much meat to it. I am not a pvper, you couldnt pay me to pvp. I dont mind pvpers getting some love, I would prefer they get a hot date with a supermodel rather than a peck on the cheek from grandma.
  4. thats nice, I am sure the loss of those subscriptions will help keep the game going....wait..it wont.
  5. issues that they created and spent the better part of a year fixing. Then repeated with conquest and cant understand why guilds left the game.
  6. I dont PVP at all, I dont see a problem with them getting to do the thing they are playing the game to do more than before. I am happy to see the pvpers getting some attention, it will swing back around later. If they are getting lots of action, they will stay subbed, which keeps an already weakened game going. Good for them.
  7. Maintenance mode is whatever the EA managers over bioware say it is. When they cut costs to the bone by shutting down data centers, move dev staff to other games being developed. We have no idea what this IP costs to maintain, what percentage disney pulls. BW will not tell you "we are going into maintenance mode". Their sub revenue would drop to near zero on that day. As would their cartel market revenue.. They have drug out the last year with very little overhead from development staff and strung things out, they seem to be aimed at continuing the trend. The have their white Knight crowd squirming in their seats with just the offhand mention of 6.0 at some unknown time frame in the next 2 years. no idea as to how big it actually is, or even when you can expect to see anything about it.
  8. a lot of us stopped playing at all.
  9. They dont, they told us that previously.
  10. you didnt read the article. Its in china. no sharia law there. The authorities are going after people that wrote MALWARE. not game cheaters. These people wrote a malware trojan to break into peoples accounts. The article talks about this. Doing it in the US could be problematic because once you name and charge these people, you hadbetter hope you got the right people. The lawsuits if you pulled in an innocent would be painful. Bioware customer service cant tie their own shoes. Do you trust them to get it right all the time?
  11. Most of the players are on the dozens of servers we cant see. The private ones. Millions of players log in every day and we remain in the dark. Musco isnt actually a real person, the guy at the cantinas was an actor hired to play him. They were gonna use Dwayne Johnson "the rock" to play him but he was busy.
  12. we will have to wait and see if they touch ops or any other broken categories. If they want us to wait a few more months, many of us wont be left here to care.
  13. That had nothing to do with what I posted. The devs metrics show anyone who got any points as having participated. which is meaningless. unless you are actually trying to get 15k, your "participation" is an illusion. My guild, which regularly was in the top three on SS if we didnt win the planet we were going for, has had as close to zero points as can be expected other than random point wins. Our raid groups are gone, participation is pretty much gone. The devs will say :XXXXXXXX number of characters participated in conquest. SUCSESS!!!! They wont tell you hov many of those got less than 500 last week.
  14. Not only that, but every character that did any activity even 1 time that gave conquest points "participated" in conquest. How many actually made it to 15k points? that would be interesting info to have.
  15. I was commenting on the fact that while they claim to be trickling out maybe fixes for pvp and gsf, ops havent even been mentioned by our absentee devs. The last response was only to let us know they are miffed that we arent satisfied with their "do tiny fixes in a few months" strategy.
  16. It appears that doing raids will not be an acceptable activity to do conquest going forward. Every single player in an op was a subscriber. Many are leaving.
  17. The only chance of it rolling back would come from upper management looking at customer time online or sub loss numbers. They could roll it back if those numbers show a rapid decline. Lead dev or not. Keith still works for someone. That has happened at other games in the past and will again in the future. when ego gets in the way of business, ego most often loses.
  18. And GF SM ops will still be 1 per legacy per day. no changes for that segment of the game population. raiding going away...
  19. It is looking like they have been outsourcing their programming changes and they have no idea what the changes will be of when they will be. So they just ignore their customers and hide till they can release a patch warning. They are as surprised as we are at the changes.
  20. Responding here would cut too much into his time working on anthem.
