YOU dont pay a subscription for the updates. You dont get to decide for others why they pay. I pay a subscription just for the excellent forum pvp against bioware apologists. Other people do it for their own reasons. You might be a closet brony that uses swtor to hide his my little pony addiction, who knows. People want information on what and when fixes will happen for the myriad bugs left for the dev 2 month vacation. Currently they are choosing to leave a vacuum and nature abhores that. People are filling the deafening silence left by the devs abandonment of the game with whatever explanation looks plausible. The devs could change this, but choose not to. They might still be serving the 60 days sentence from that incident at the christmas party.

looking at dev digest, the only guy talking is the guy making the next raid boss, other than that its just maintenance and pvp season.

I doubt you will see that before march. Anthem releases Feb 22 and they are busy with that. Musco hasnt bothered to say anything about bug fixes in quite a while.

They dont care if it is bugged. They see it as a bonus that it slows down people gearing up. In the 2 weeks that they have been back the biggest thing they managed to do is remove the chest from the datacron cave.

They need to make a neutral star base somewhere in the galaxy, let teams form there and enter ops, fp etc. Have some daily hubs there to let people team together. they could make new ares of existing planets be daily areas. general chat on the station would be cross faction.

Except when they do their next "balancing"pass they will be looking at parses of people in full augmented 258s. They will nerf everyone because these people are doing what the devs consider "too much" DPS. It has happened before, they will do it again. If you dont have 258 gear at that point you will be out of luck.

when they decide to "balance" player DPS they will use data produced by 258 gear to justify it. Just like they did in 2017. So if you dont have 258 you are pretty well screwed.

If you are being focused by three opponents you SHOULD have problems, you arent supposed to be a raid boss. The devs balance to their own internal metrics, not against other classes. Melee dps have a built in damage advantage to begin with. Dont expect to see a balancing pass until the new 252/258 gear increases max dps, then there will be nerfs.

they are going to have to put something in like light vs dark or something similar this spring to try to avoid another exodus. 6.0 will probably be here this time next year. That is too long to do nothing but weeklies.

you have no idea what the devs base their decisions on. they could be sacrificing goats to readtheir entrails and you would have no idea.

For a simpler solution, make 252/258 gear only have effect at that level in MM GOTM. As we have been repeatedly told, it isnt necessary for the 98% than doesnt do that raid. Make it only be 248 outside of that raid. Maybe a MM buff. That way they dont mess up PVP and they dont corner the GTN market. simple solution

wasting time to make gear for 1% of the player base is a waste of resources. Make the gear auto downgrade to 248 when not in MM GOTM and the nim raiders will still get their new shinies and it wont hurt any one else, other than the fact that we wont have new content for a year.

when the devs specificly target a small group to make them filthy rich, that is a problem. Or would you have no problem if the devs made all pub toons do 2x damage but not imp?
