  1. Did you really just complain, because... someone got thanked for saying something nice??? That's.... a take... not a great one... but a take..
  2. Not seeing the option to enable 'cover bar' on a Trooper using Gunslinger style.
  3. The existing sticky wasn't enough?
  4. So, what does this mean for the rest of the "big" plans for the 10 year anniversary? are those delayed as well or do we still get something anniversary-y next week?
  5. Don't forget to grind old content reps, to unlock races, so you can regrind all the grind you've grinded. I'd much rather play SWTOR, than the insane levels of grinding and un-alt friendliness that is BfA.
  6. Oh are you in for a shock... BfA is horrid. You'll be grinding AP to level your neck... and then, because that grind isn't enough, you have to make sure you grind all your reputations to unlock flying, and wait.. just in case you thought you'd had enough grind... you need to grind out all the essences for your neck.. And professions are pretty much pointless, by the time you can make anything useful, you've already got better gear.. Herbalism/Alchemy are the only two that stay relevant. And don't worry... the Holy Pally nerf is coming in January with 8.3.
  7. Buying CM items to sell for credits.. is by no stretch of the imagination a "P2W" mechanic. You really don't seem to understand what P2W actually is. By your logic, even WoW's Token system is "P2W", and... it's not.. It's not "skipping the line" otherwise all of us subscribers would be P2W because if there is a login queue, we jump to the front. Your logic of "having more credits = P2W" means that by your reasoning, someone who has played non-stop since Day 1..and amassed hundreds of millions of credits.. has Paid 2 win.. because they have more credits than you, or than a returning (or new) player..
  8. I'd imagine it'd be the 22nd...at whenever the servers come up from maintenance...
  9. WoW has the exact same "absent GM" system.. they just have a longer window of inactivity required to initiate transfer (90 Days)... If you want a say in what happens to your guild after you found it...... don't abandon it for extended periods of time.
  10. All our alts will not have to pay for training, and anyone who didn't level (or, at least, didn't train all their skills) to 60 also gets the savings... just like the folks that didn't pre-order. Equal benefit to all (going forward from date of announcement).
  11. Played since Beta, pre-ordered all the expacs (so, just the playerbase you're trying to speak for).. and you know what? I totally disagree with you. I think this was a good thing for BW to do, and it benefits pre-orders just as much as it does players who didn't pre-order (with the possible exception being someone who does only have one character, and had leveled it to 60 by the time this change was announced -assuming they paid for all their skills along the way). edit: Also, you keep using "everyone"... I don't think that means what you think it means.
  12. The point, is that they are two issues.. having to retrain is intended, and not changing (based on Eric's response).. having to spend 600k+ at level 60, is drastically different than having to spend 50k at 55.
  13. I'm going to have to disagree. Needing to re-train at 55 (or, lower) is a separate issue from the over all issue of costs being insanely expensive this time around. You can see that BioWare even seems to consider them different issues... we still have to re-train... we don't have to pay the crazy expensive costs. Trying to treat them as the same issue, is why some people are getting bent out of shape (at least, in my opinion). Different, but related issues, and people need to treat them as such.
  14. The overall cost of training (and this thread), has absolutely nothing to do with the change that required us (the intentional change, which makes it not a bug), to repurchase skills we already knew pre-3.0. This thread is about the overall cost of training, and the pending removal of that cost. Two different issues.
  15. People who keep using Eric's "no plans to change" post, as "proof" that BW somehow shafted us Early Access players, need to understand context. The reply was specifically about having to re-train skills we had known pre-3.0, because they changed names, positions in the tree, etc.. it had NOTHING to do with the costs of skill training, that is (was) a separate issue completely. Early Access players didn't get specifically targeted and "shafted" by the removal of training costs. Everyone has had to pay some level of training costs again post 3.0, and now, after Tuesday, everyone will not have to pay training costs for skills again. Some of us Early Access people couldn't afford to train the new skills anyway, some could.. If you rushed all your alts to 60 (despite knowing that Early Access was going to be bug-ridden), then yes, you'll get minimal benefit from the change, until you level a new alt, or the next expansion hits... but for the majority of players.. this is a fair, and good change. edit: It's also interesting to me, that some of the same people demanding a refund, are the same people who were all "It's super easy to make credits in this game, no one should complain about the costs"... so, which is it?
  16. And everyone who paid for early access, and still has characters to level to 60, also gets all our skills for free... it's almost like it's fair for everyone!
  17. Not all of early access got shafted.. those of us that were too poor to pay for the skills, even as part of early access, will benefit..as will everyone's alts.
  18. Eric (and Team), Thank you! As one of the players (since closed beta) who is not a multimillionaire.. this is great news.. I had characters who (because of leveling with 12x XP) didn't have enough credits to even train all the abilities they had to relearn at 55, let alone the 50k for crew skills... This means that (after Tuesday), I'll actually be able to afford to level up my characters. Thank you for listening to us, and for addressing it in both a reasonable time, and a reasonable way.
  19. BioWare.. I'm gonna be over here NOT leveling my skills.. I can't afford it.. the amount I've made going from 55 - 57, doesn't even come close to offsetting what I've had to pay in skill training. Until BioWare fixes these outrageous credit costs (600k-ish at 60 is nuts.. that's almost twice what a preferred player can even have in their 'wallet' to spend! let alone anyone that is still a F2P player).. I can't afford to level, especially on characters that used the 12x boost to get to 55, as they barely made any money while leveling. I forsee a ton of complaints about people who haven't trained all their skills (due to cost) being queued for Flashpoints, or PvP while they try and earn enough money to pay to level.
  20. You can move the items into your cargo hold on your ship, or in your stronghold...you can't put it in your legacy storage.
  21. We have a double bladed lightsaber with the "hilts" already... http://tor-fashion.com/warmasters-double-bladed-lightsaber/
  22. My son and I had a blast! Thanks for having one in our area! It was great to meet the BioWare team. Great answers to the questions, and even alleviated some of the concerns I had about the upcoming expansion.
  23. You did read the whole of the Dev post you linked in the OP right?? Where Alex says he's kidding, and Eric can hold his own.. right? instead of fixating on the joke part, and not seeing it is a joke?
  24. The email said one time grant. So it appears to be a one time grant.
