    Thanks for the update, and the tease Eric. Personally, I'd have preferred a non-CM related item... but, this, as they say, is better then nothing.

    It'd take them some time to get it granted to everyone's accounts.. so, assuming this is it.. I'd imagine the rest of us will see the grant sometime today.

    Boo... just... boo... figures it'd be tied into the damn CM... hopefully there is more to it then just an extra handful of coins..since that doesn't really show me any appreciation.

    Is it an extra 500 CC? Or the normal monthly stipend that is part of the sub?

    If they're going to hit their self-imposed "weekend of the 4th" deadline.. The emails need to go out today...since we know they don't work on the weekends (though, I guess they could schedule sending of the emails).

    If it were a pet, and it was an actual, unique pet - not a recolor of an existing one.. that might not be too bad. I'd rather be able to merge my 2 accounts into one 'legacy account' (like a battle.net account) but I don't see that happening.

    My 4th of July weekend started yesterday at 2PM.... Still no email, but at this point, I'd imagine tomorrow will be the earliest we'll see something, but most likely we won't see anything till sometime next week...

    Yeah, the 'free' name change is less useful since we got it 1) After the name change feature went live and 2) after we all lost names in the forced transfers...

    Nothing here.. Haven't heard of anyone getting an email yet. They'll be out of office tomorrow, so we'll have to wait till Friday at the earliest.

    You're the one who mentioned how they surprised us with the collections system.. Just trying to clarify what constitutes a good surprise among the White Knight crowd....

    The same collection system that doesn't work as they described it in interviews? After all, according to thier interviews, you only need Revan's mask to get Revan's mask on all your characters. So, I guess the surprise with the collections system, is that they don't know how it works?

    As much as I dislike the CM, and think the "appreciation" should have nothing to do with it. Being able to get a BOA (so we can't GTN it) pick from all the CM items..including now retired packs.. Once a month.. Would not be horrible.

    Probably, and Eric's statement that they won't be announcing it ahead of time (or on the site)... Should tell everyone to prepare to be underwhelmed.

    Because, some things are? The difference in content development for CM stuff vs non CM stuff makes it incredibly obvious which is the priority (hint: it's the one they put story items on..and charged for). The value just isn't there for a sub...

    It was not. That was our "one free name change per month" that got changed to "one free character, guild, and legacy rename", that got turned into "one free name change, a month after name changes went live".

    If it has anything at all to do with the CM...it's a waste, and doesn't show appreciation (at least, not in my opinion).

    Monday morning bump. It's July 1st... we're now 3-4 days from the 'weekend of july 4th'... any bets on whether or not we'll get any details today?

    SWTOR has the worst F2P model of any game I've looked at...it's totally centered on making it as difficult as possible for non-subs (hot bars...flipping hot bars are restricted...you can't even use the abilities you get while leveling!). But, that's a conversation for a whole different thread.

    This ^. Whatever they do, it needs to recognize and support those of us who have been paying subs since day 1. The tiered/scaled approach is the best (the STO/Rift examples from earlier). Most importantly, it needs to be something that no amount of CC can buy...ever.

    At least the XP boosts are useful, for subs still leveling alts. But, yeah, they could do with fixing up that "loot" table..

    As a subscriber "appreciation" reward....they would not make me feel appreciated. The ones we got for life day, are fine.
