  1. OH NO PVP TANKS KILL PVP tanks SHOULD have a place in pvp. they're in Warhammer and its a fantastic addition to pvp that you don't see in any other game that has the functionality that they do in WAR
  2. for sure, people have said "true pvpers will rise over the nerf and blah blah, insert crock of BS here" . I've been testing new builds and found that this build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#701Mc0MZGIGkdkbbczZh.1 will allow you to keep toe-to-toe and also maximize your burst when available to do so. the top thing to remember is to keep pugnacity up, as the healing mulitpliers affect the hots. along with this, you have your 6% damage mitigation and an added endurance boost from talents. THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOU A TANK. this only allows your former glass cannon to be able to take hits and not die like a nancy while retaining the maximum output you'll have available to you post-scrapper-nerf. I've been testing this build for the past couple of days and i am happy to confirm that its a solid build that if you'd like, has small customizable options (such as swapping the endurance talents for the increased damage on bleeds, or exploratory surgery for anatomy lessons and so forth) yes i have removed K.O as it will be not only 150% worthless, but it will actually screw you over because you automatically fill the resolve bar by using it (8 seconds for 1.5 knockdown? just take out the talent, please) just sharing, if you have input, feel free to share it, however this build is 100% effective as is.

I'm a Grand Marshal. you have no idea about "the worst times" in wow. dealwithit.jpg [\img] i also had 1k/ 1k on my badges and got nothing but commendations when i hit 50. i get about 3 bags a day (this is after work. i do have a job, after all.) and sometimes 4 when i decide to waste my time in Ilum. in a week, despite not having a piece in 10 bags, i am almost fully geared in pvp gear. I got a few pieces and filled off slots with cent gear. got two bags of boots in one night, demodded one and replaced my orange chest piece slots with good mods. stop crying, you nancy

  5. ^^ this. last night I killed a few guys in WZs before my inititial stun wore off. this is why: -grabbed expertise buff - popped crit+surge relic, and power relic -opened with flechette round + shootfirst : 5k damage - loaded another flechette round, then a backblast : another 5k damage - vital shot dot - pistol whip: 1k damage -sucker punch: 2k damage -suckerpunch: 2k damage *target dies* after these kills i'm like "man my nerf is so warrented" BUT THEN i go on to a DIFFERANT target and it goes like this: -grabbed expertise buff - popped crit+surge relic, and power relic -opened with flechette round + shootfirst : 2k damage - loaded another flechette round, then a backblast : another 2k damage - vital shot dot - pistol whip: 300k damage -sucker punch: 1k damage -suckerpunch: 1k damage -out of energy, target still alive with 50% health after the game i would check the gear on the first guy i killed and he's got no expertise. he's wearing all purples and is pissed because my scoundral is "op" the issue is the gear. if i were a developer my fix would be a pretty nifty idea: tie the game of pvp and pve back together and close the circle once again and issue all players "battle slots" that can have charactor panel enhancements: pve: 1% NPC damage increase, and a *light*random stat increase 1% NPC damage mitigation and a *light* random stat increase pvp: 1% player damage mitigation, and a *light* random stat increase and of course, players can scale their gear, but also scale their "battle slot" augments based on progression. I believe everyone should be able to have damage mitigation choices right off the bat so that developers can have a much easier time with people that complain about being killed instantly. in the end, players could have about 10% ish mitigation in pvp and every ten VR's (starting from battlemaster) you'd be able to accumilate enough for another 5% for a total of 40% mitigation at VR 100. also, i think that PvP sets should all be similar in stats, very light increase in stats and be more of a visual representation thing. true PvPers care about two things: fun and epeen. we have fun owning people and if its a good game at the end, its more of a good feeling, meaning . face it, thats just how it is for pro players. when we pvp, we pvp to win. we run with other players that are good and do premade pvp and steamroll everyone no matter what our stats are. so having small increases to POWER and more to survivability allows us time to use our actual skill and not just spamming buttons like fairweather kids.

  7. 1) I was directed here by an actual mod. 2) \ opens the TICKET SYSTEM. / <-- is not ---> \ \ is right above the ENTER key 3) you may be fine with your naga keys, but my keybinds are... here it comes.. 12345, r, f, c, v, g num1,num2,num3,num4,num5,num6,num7,num8, etc etc and SHIFT+num1, SHIFT+num2, SHIFT+num3,SHIFT+num4,SHIFT+num5, etc etc. yes, i do keybind EVERYTHING in my ability book. my UI is a royal pain in the *** and i want the razer naga addon to manage it.
  8. outside of the big nerf threads, i want to talk about something thats racked my nerves since day one. the UI. issue #1: hitting the " \ " key when trying to chat. YOU CAN NOT REMAP THIS. i bring up that stupid ticket broswer at least four times a night. get rid of it, i do not need a hot key for ticket systems, especially right next to my chat function key issue #2: Razer naga and action bars. you have licensed your game to razer and yet we have no addons that we can use with it, and your unit frames are terrible. PLEASE allow razor to make their addon available to your game as it was for warhammer and WoW. believe me, you'll hear much rejoice. the razer UI was in-freakin'-credible. issue #3: the channel list function does not work. i have various chat channels that are RP channels, PvP organizatiojn channels and LFG channels. we can see who enters them, but not who is in it. the function is /list (channelname) however, the list shows no names when the input tries to function issue #4 Group disbanding on pvp queues. this is annoying. issue #5 guild UI functions. i HATE pulling up guild window for ANYTHING. and i'm the leader of my guild! checking the roster is just about the only useful thin in guild UI functions. the ranks function needs to be completely reworked and allow the change of placement. I also want to be able to change the name of guild master to something else. not sure if i keep over looking it, but i don't see any way to do that. biggest PITA is trying to GROUP with guildies. you seriously have to add them to freinds to be able to right click them and invite (which friends list UI is a whole differant nightmare of its own), spell out their name which can be anything between "pat" and "Lesh'naziekian" (true story).
  9. is that right? funny how i run through this rotation constantly and thats never the point. also, please be aware that i'm being very generous and inflating damage numbers here for the sake of you laughing boys, my personal damage gets mitigated much worse than this.
  10. yes, because the relevance of our one opener that does the same damage as one of his many attacks (that can only be used in stealth) this is our AVERAGE damage (average meaning not in battlemaster gear) in what I would consider an average DAMAGE rotation (this is my rotation, don't forget that we also need to prepare with defense CD abilities and energy management CDs): *stealthed* *flechette round* *opener: 4k-5k * *3 second stun starts* *flechette round+ backblast : 3k-4k * *F round ticks for 400* *vital shot: applies a dot, which ticks for like 400-500 like every three seconds *3 second stun ends, enemy is now immune to all CC* *sucker punch 800-1000* (energy is critically low at this point) *blaster whip 700-800* *energy needs to recharge before able to use sucker punch again, burst phase officially over* *normal attacks 200-400 per gcd* *normal attacks 200-400 per gcd* *normal attacks 200-400 per gcd* *backblast is finally off cooldown. 3k-3.5k damage* *have enough energy now for pugnacity, which is to help manage our energy and health* *energy slowly becomes manageable, now our only abilities will rotate around around backblast when its available, and blasterwhip/sucker punch. and of course kiting when possible, keeping dots on, and etc. * yes, i do know that in between all that time theres is a couple dot ticks, but the point is that i'm showing is that initial burst is the only thing smugglers have that you consider OP. and this is average, the BM gear scrappers might be cracking into 8k territory, but you don't realize that that doesn't kill other BM geared players. only you. and you know why this is? because of gear. also, that opening move is ALL we have. so if BW wants us to not abuse the vanish+ ambush manuever, they'd put a 15 sec cooldown on it . boom, all of the problems would be solved.

  12. sounds like you, a pvper, rolled on a server that clearly.. CLEARLY has no interest in pvp. I'm on an RP server, i get pops every 5 minutes after each game. sounds like you need to reroll. you're NEVER going to like that server if you're really interested in pvp. cross server BGs will never fix that.
  13. @OP Warhammer has better pvp than any other game on the market. you try thinking up a game that has hundreds of people playing in mass pvp 100% of the time. 100%. of the time. War failed because there WAS no easy way to get your shinies. War is the LAST traditional MMO and its far from dead right now. no, sir. what you want is WoW. you should probably go back to it. i hear they have this really 'cool' generic wannabe version of what warhammer has and it only lasts 10 minutes and happens every 2 hours. on a serious note, you just compared an MMO to an FPS. you DONT COMPARE DIFFERANT GENRES TO EACHOTHER. PERIOD. if you want to see something in this game as far as mass pvp, you're going to have to suggest soemthing that only one game has been able to properly implement- Warhammer. and since you don't like it, sounds like you'll never be able to suggest anything worth listening to.

I'm only level 43 and usually as a scoundral myself, i EAT ops up like crazy, however in huttball other scoundrals and ops usually open on me the most rediculously simple end to their damage is to stop their initial burst. after being knocked down from their opener, i hit my "trinket" and CC them, then start on my own burst. its simple. not at all tasking to stop a scoundral from killing you. if you're an inq/ consular dying to scoundral, you're flat out bad. you had that rediculous flee ability at your disposal and packing on a shield before you use it ensures escaped from deaths.
  15. you're complaining about our vanish? vanish in THIS game is WAY more bugged that it ever was in WOW even! you're lucky if vanish even works 30% of the time! and say good bye to restealthing out of comb at because the only time you CAN restealth is when youtr target dies! thats the only time you're actually able to go out of combat, unless you wait like 45secs- 1 minute with noone even near you. the bugs are killing us.
  16. just read this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=1422167#edit1422167 we who come from games like classic wow and WARHAMMER can REMEMBER names and games from playing with certain individuals. even years later I can remember people in opposing guilds that would WRECK people on WAR. with the size of this population, regardless of any stupid argument you think you can dream up, you will never be able to dispute that after cross server WZ's happen, this game becomes just another XBOX live style lobby system. how many people do you EVER see again in a game on XBL with the amount of people that play halo reach or COD? never. right now, I know exactly who on my team PvPs to PvP and who just queued randomly because they were bored. my server, i KNOW people for once. something i've missed and i adore. Its an experiance i love all over again. we see eachother in WZ's and we say "HEY yesterday we were rolling empire, weren't we" and "Llilium, this game you need to keep people CC'd , or watch your AOE and not break CC, while we cap the door" and etc. I don't feel like i'm playing a stupid WoW clone anymore! I have a small guild, and yet is STILL feel like i'm a part of something, the SERVER, just because we play together as "The Ebon Hawk's Republic" vs "The Ebon Hawk's Empire". I'm sorry, but i've waited several years for this game and i was ecstatic to see how you handled criticism on YOUR game when you refused to make you game a WoW clone. DON'T start now. All I can say is, personally if this does happen i'm not playing. I can't believe i got as excited as i did for so many years only to be slapped in the face like this. and this is for what? instant queue times? what, people can't wait 5 minutes? i SERIOUSLY can get a queue pop in the morning at 5:30 AM to play a game before work, its it THAT big of a deal? this **** sickens me, it really does. go ahead, though. turn this game into another "farm for gear" garbage heap. I truly didn't expect BW to enrage me like this , especially SO early in the game. at least APB: reloaded is back. if i wanted pvp with a sandbox, might as well play that. screw the whole MMO community aspect.

  19. for RP reasons, i've been trying to study lore on star wars and such throughout the generations and history. all i can say is, how can george lucas allow so much garbage contradictory in this stuff? i understand there is a ton of continuation stuff and non canon continuity and EU (extended universe) stuff, but theres things that seriously cling to established things that make NO sense. now i haven't played force unleashed 1 or 2, but what i've seen on youtube from cinemagics (yes i typo'd that on purpose) was stuff like Starkiller and luke and blah blah having clones or soemthing, and then luke becoming star killer's apprentice on hoth. supposedly this game was done in George lucas' blessing? i tried reading the wiki article on the game to better understand what's going on but all i could see is rediculous slaughter of established lore just so the player could have this SUPER ****** sith guy that literally seems to be undefeatable killing Shaakti, obi wan's ghost, luke skywalker, and Jesus all put together
  20. i can't wait to get home on my OP smuggler and 2 shot people, plus stun constantly on my virtually non existant non 1.5 minute cooldown. seriously, why do you pvp in this (any) game if you're THIS bad? if you truly, honestly believe all the things you are crying about, you have to be level 10 and horrible (not to mention ignorant)
  21. so i keep seeing that captain kneely in Ilum is supposed to be a vender for some of the companions, like Akaavi Spar and etc. i finally found him, yet it shows him as a security vender only. soooOoo what the hell do i get my stupid customizations for my companion? the vender thats on the actual planet only shows up as selling one companions 's customizations.
