If they are trying to focus on fixing crafting, which is totally useless except in a few instances, they should make it L50 crafted gear.
That better fits with the goals outlined in the dev tracker.
DAoC, Pre-TOA, was an amazing game and it mystifies me that no one has really tried to imitate it. It wouldn't attract all of the carebears from WoW... but I imagine that it would still be a profitable venture.
Gear is all that carebears live for... take that away and they'll be sucking on the end of a shotgun by nightfall.
PVP on the other hand... the good players just do it for the sport.

Or, have your operative open from stealth on the healer while you kill the rest of the players. Its almost like folks here don't actually play this game at all.
I'm rolling a Guardian alt to do tanky PVP... so I'm 30 pts in the Defense tree.
Question: I have to drop the 31 pt Guardian Slash to pick up a second leap (Zealous Leap). Is it worth trading Guardian Slash for a second leap in PVP?
I'm really interested in what some of you who've been PVPing at 50 for a while think about the trade offs.
Thanks in advance.
It worked for DAOC even though everyone claimed that it would be impossible to balance. As it turns out, if you were on a server that was dominated by Albion the Hibs and Mids ganged up on the Albs pretty regularly.
It worked out nicely.
1-49 is partially skill based and a then mostly about how many skill points you've been given to pick up critical, class defining abilities and bonuses from your specialty tree of choice.
Have a nice day.
