  1. Black body has only happened to my companions, and I've only met one NPC with black eyes. On the other hand my companions have had different armor pieces missing in every conversation the last week. It's so weird we're experiencing this so differently. Anybody tried alt+tabbing during conversations to see if it fixes it? It used to for me, but now it either doesn't change, or just blacks out another part.
  2. It's happening with Qyzen too, and he doesn't use a customization. And it's often their clothes, like chest plate, pants, helmet, that's missing. Both annoying and confusing me to no end!
  3. I keep seeing my companion "blacked" out during cut-scenes and the character portrait when playing. Some cut-scenes she might be missing both her face and pants f.e. I used to think this was an effect of alt+tabbing, but now I've had it on start-up, without having tabbed the game down, or made any other changes to the resolution. I also saw a change turning bloom on, but now I've played with bloom on for the duration, and Kaliyo is still missing different parts in cut-scenes. I can reset the companion portrait via ctrl+u and it turns up as it should, but I've found no way to restore the graphics during conversations, and it has now started to happen every-time I have a cut-scene. Anyone else experienced this?
  4. I'm reading the forums on my ipad without being logged in. If I want to post I have to log in, but I have access to all posts without any log in.
  5. I agree, I've filled 7 out of 8 slots already, so I'd love more slots, especially when the legacy system comes.
  6. You know you can turn on light side/dark side gain to be shown next to the wheel in conversation options? The answer "go find their families" is, if I remember correctly, marked as a dark side option.
  7. Wait, what? So you're saying my Founders title has expired since I haven't logged in today after getting the mail? Both the collector's edition items and the pre-order crystal gave you 30 days to pick them up. While I would prefer to be able to keep my mail and not risk items disappearing, the 30 day time limit should allow you enough time to pick up your things as long as you actually play the game from time to time. Having said that, I'd love some way of storing my mail, I hate that I'm starting to lose my story mails..
  8. Stop random pop-ups and closes! I especially like when it pops up during combat, and half the time it figures out you're in combat and goes to pending, just to pop up the second you've killed the mob, and the other half it's completely oblivious to your fighting and just throws you out of the targeting and won't go away..
  9. Try turning off the in-game AA and force it through the card instead. I have the previous version Radeon HD (5670) and I "lag" on even low in-game AA, but play smoothly with forced 2x AA through AMDs vision manager. Besides, it looks better, as the in-game "low" is way less than 2xAA. Also try turning on "enable surface format optimization" it increased my fps.
  10. And I would group far less with a LFD tool. If they introduced a cross-server LFD tool, I would stop grouping at all. I played WOW before and up until after the LFD tool, and during that time I got more and more turned off grouping with random people. SWTOR here is the first time in 2 years or something I've actually grouped with random persons for group content in MMOs. While I agree it's hard to find people and get people to respond when asking in general, I've been able to find groups for most of the heroics I've wanted to do so far, and I've been able to learn a bit about the person before doing the heroic with them. Personally I have a hard time PUGing, and heroics in SWTOR has been a surprisingly fun and nice experience, which has made me try to do them all on each planet. I've had bad players, dps-pullers and no-healing groups, but we've managed and completed. Having said that I know with myself that the more similar to WOWs LFD tool it gets, the less I will use it. I have still not had an experience anything near as bad as the instance I did in WOW at level 80 where I had to keep a hunter's pet up as the main tank, since the "tank" was a dps two-hand warrior who insisted on AOEing everything and randomly hit the different mobs. I was in raid gear in a normal instance, and only barely managed the fights without poting..
  11. From my personal experience and my bf's, I'd say there's a lot of weird things going on with the game. I run the game fine with a drop to 30 fps on the fleet (I played WOW for over a year with a graphics card whose drivers did not support something in WOW and had max 15 fps if I was lucky (0 fps in towns/raids), so everything over 20 fps is fully playable for me), and I have all settings on high besides shadows (which are on low). My graphics card is a non-gaming ATI Radeon HD 5670. After forcing AA and antisotropic filtering through AMD vision engine control along with enabling surface format optimization, my game performance increased, even though I went from nearly no strain on the GPU to about 80-90%. If I try using the in-game AA my game lags on every other step, but forcing AA through my graphics card works fine and is smooth. My BF who has a powerful GTX-card is running V-sync and about 60 fps, but see a lot more fluctuations in FPS, and have had huge drops in performance. Also his GPU overheats about 5 minutes into the game, going over 90 degrees and performing emergency cool-down, this happens no matter his graphics settings and AA level. While my older GPU never goes over 70 degrees. We have the same amount of RAM (8gb), same CPU (Phenom II x4 965, 3,4 Ghz), he has a better hard drive (besides the better graphics card), and still my pc runs the game more reliably. @OP, I'm sorry to hear she has given up. If she has an ATI card, try forcing graphics through the manager instead of using the ingame settings. I know it sounds really backwards, but I saw a massive jump in performance after activating this.
  12. Empire 5950 light 0 Dark -Level 36 IA Republic 2700 Light 50 Dark -level 23 Jedi Sage I could keep going but it would all be the same. I'm one of those players who just can't play a bad guy. Edit: About Infamous, I would've commented on the fact that the game doesn't seem to support the light side very well, it seems more like a tacked on "second choice". The guys voice acting doesn't change, he still enjoys killing way too much, his friend is no where near a nice guy, and most of the light side missions seem to just give you a harder time completing the task. (Based on watching my BF play)
  13. I'd play some infrequent DC universe, and wait for Secret World, the only other announced MMO I've found interesting.
  14. I've always hated shoulder pads, never use them if I don't have to, and would love some better armors. Mostly I'll just use orange gear without shoulder pads on my chars (I'm ages away from level 50), but I really do wish the developer team would put some more time into armors and their graphics. Clean up the muddiness and give us more options! off-topic: I want to wear the IA medium armor boots with knee caps from the light side vendor, but the muddy grey/black patches put me off, I have no clue what the design is supposed to be.
  15. I right clicked by mistake at the Balmorra vendor and ended up purchasing a Smuggler blaster pistol for 14 commendations. Even tried ticketing the support to see if I could get my commendations back, but in the end I decided it was too much hassle, and remodded it with aim instead, so Kaliyo has been running around with an orange smuggler pistol since level 15.. Wish there was a buyback feature for when you make stupid mistakes, but at least it teaches a harsh lesson about not thinking, and I know I'm a lot more careful at the commendation vendor now. That said, I see no harm in confirmation boxes and buyback options. I also wish the auction house would grey out recipes you already know.
  16. This is my full body pic of my sniper. Zabrak Faan Generic green gloves and not too fond of the boots, they were the only thing I've found that works, and I had to change out the horrifying blue Alderaan boots that didn't match a thing. I Loove the sniper rifle, I've been looking for a proper looking, clean-looking sniper rifle for a while now, and was very happy with this one.
  17. This is my IA, I haven't been able to take a proper pic in-game, as the lighting is always really dark, but I have to find a good spot soon. http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/448/faancjqeei.jpg Ordinary imperial, I want to change her armor now that she's started Chapter 2, but I haven't found a nice chest substitute yet.
  18. I agree with so much of this. Coming from an IA to the republic side to play with my bf, the jedi story lines are no where near as fulfilling and fun as the IAs, and this is coming from a person who plays her imperials completely light side and dislikes being evil in games. While nearly all my characters are snarky and challenge authority, my jedi is reduced to "not mentioning the republic and jedi order as much as she could have". There's no way to have fun, make snide comments and inject some humor without going with the "jerk" responses. I don't want to talk like a formal jedi preaching about how the force will help people, but it is often the only real answer there is. I also find the voices a lot more boring, several of the consular lines are just voiced awkwardly, and I still think the female Jedi Knight has the worst voice in the game. The Jedi knight is apparently a very powerful special snowflake, but she sounds like a little girl. I'm so the prime target for the republic side, I always play a good guy, I like helping people, I transfer myself into my characters, and I love healing. Still I have a much lower tolerance for the Republic areas and story lines (Rakghouls, so sick of them!). Keep in mind I've played both KOTOR and KOTOR 2 through several times, each time as pure light side as I can't get myself to play "evil", and still the republic side in TOR is forcing my smuggler neutral, and even my Jedi has taken some dark side points, since stopping the lies of empire-backed senators is evil. Also probably going full social gear on my Sage, because of the gear, and because she is a Twi'lek, which means all robes remove her head band. Oh, and pants, please let us have pants..
  19. What I'd love, and dream would happen is that Bioware would introduce the legacy system and the "Hutt beauty salon", "Imp/rep customization station" (I have no clue what they should call them) at the same time, so that we can not only have the option of utilizing our unlocked features, but also be able to change hair styles and other cosmetics to match our changes. But I fear this is an "in my wildest dreams" scenario..
  20. I want to be able to read my mail on my holocall thingy, and the mission givers keep telling me they "transfer credits to my account", so why can't the mail system do it? About packages: I want an additional button for "send your companion to fetch packages". It keeps it a time sink, and locks one of our companions for a short time, but lets us get the packages without being close to a mail box.
  21. I agree that the professions need changing, and that it might entail looking at moving who makes mods, but as a cybertech, I would find it really unfair that artifice can make crystals, hilts and enhancements, while we would only be able to make mods. If you take armoring from cybertech, take enhancement from artifice, and either spread it over armormech/synthweaving too, or give one armoring and the other enhancements.
  22. Yes! Though the orange helmet I bought for Kaliyo is actually cute (though the yellow and purple tends to clash with everything else) I hate all the head options for Vector.
  23. Duh, forgot to subscribe, and have to make a new one to do it. /throw away post
  24. I know the legacy system is controversial, and I respect everyone's thoughts about it. Personally I like it, and enjoy having all my chars linked to the same legacy and name, probably because I like the back story I've chosen for my legacy. That said, I love to see alternative suggestions about surname and individualizing your character. But, I think you will be better heard, Blue_Leader, if you copy-paste your post into your own suggestion thread about surnames. Thank you. At the moment I'd love a cross-server legacy, but not because I want to play on other servers, but because there's too few character slots! But I agree that the incentive could work better if it opened for rolling an alt with a friend without having to delete a space on your current server. As long as it doesn't force every different server character into the same legacy, but make it a choice, I'm all for it.
