  1. I really don't care how good / bad the current tool is. Its not a "war-front" like tool. Which is vastly more functional. Hell, half the time folks don't know what flash-point is in their group range, and if they need pre-reqs to get to said FP.
  2. I think you might be confusing this with LFR (looking for raid) Which is not the topic at all.
  3. When I say "Quest" it defines a means in which I partake to obtain a goal. In the case of MMO's, thats gear. Let me put a different way. Your a pve group struggling to kill a very hard boss, attempt after attempt. You fail x5 You win finally at 6 <-- that 6 is better then all the lewt you can hope for.
  4. It means I enjoy the quest to seek better gear more then the gear itself.
  5. I'm sorry if you did not understand. Enjoyment is the most important. The statement "PVP on demand" and "PVE on demand" is a difference in which one like to enjoy the game. I never said getting gear was not important, just the journey one takes to reach that is what is.
  6. For me, gear is largely irrelevant. Gear comes in time, its secondary to the joy of the mechanism in which you like to play the game, and that is suppressed for a lot of folks. I know, I can see it already. "Wow did not have LFG at launch, and had PVP insta-match before LFG" I was there, I remember. The difference back then was a virgin mmo player-base, myself included. Running a UBRS raid was a real privilege to me in the early days. Fast-Forward to now and its no longer a "privilege" but a right. Thank blizzard for that one, nor you or I can change that. Like it or not blizzard set the standard for what mmo's are. This game largely follows that model. As such the current climate of PVE gamer's expect "PVE on demand" as "PVP on demand" is currently offered in swtor. Please, I would like to hear your opinions. EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION Do you think "Flashpoint LFG" is now mandatory in today's mmo climate?
  7. Dam you, I was hoping to ride the fine line, however you failed to offer an option and choose to find a fault with my reasoning. IE, go away.
  8. Does Imp gear look vastly better then republic gear? Specificity the light and medium armor types. This is not bias. My first toon is a sorc (inquisitor) who is 50 Same toon on republic side? Dirty rags dipped in cow dung. I realize this topic is very subjective and would like the opinion of the general player-base. So, what are your thoughts?
  9. I don't do much in the way of other exp mechanisms (pvp/space combat etc) which is fine but if you want a easier time of it make sure when you are leaving a planet to manually head to the local space-port / orbit station. Nine times out of ten there will be a "bonus series" followup which will usually level you 2 more levels on each planet. I did not realize this on my first play though with my sith and would usually use my fleet pass or take a shuttle to the fleet completely skipping the bonus lines. From now on I always leave a planet "proper" to make sure I don't miss anything.
  10. Make sure your date/time on your computer is set correctly. If its not it will cause this issue.
