  1. -1 /notsigned™ If you don't want any contact from other players then don't play an MMO. You bought the game knowing exactly what it involves.
  2. I just tested it out with another player who I did NOT make a group with, we are both on our own but chatting. I summoned the two by clicking the box that's ON THE TENT. I set my companion to PASSIVE so it wouldn't attack either. My new friend said that they were GRAY and LOCKED for them but they were RED for me. They killed them for me and I got credit for the mission. So, in conclusion, once you click the blue thing on the tent the enemies are YOURS, nobody can "steal" them from you so this will eliminate OP's confusion about what's actually happening. Yes, *you* must be the one to click the thing on the tent first, big deal, if there's other people then ask to group or come back later but considering how dead it is these days it's basically a non-issue.
  3. The Legacy ability PROJECT also has the original animation where the debris comes out of the ground next to you and launches at the target instead of how it is now where it comes out next to the target. It looks so much cooler the way it used to be but the PvP whiners were mad that lightning started its damage instantly whereas this one didn't until the debris hit the target and {we can't have that, can we}? Why they couldn't give the lightning a delayed start to its damage instead is just another one of those little things that don't seem like they should matter but they do.
  4. -1 /notsigned™ I think OP means that others are actually clicking the blue thing first before they are. I've never had anyone tag these two on me before once I've clicked the blue thing cuz I'm sure they are linked to whoever clicks the box. Either way, if you can't be fast enough to beat a few other people then I dunno what to tell you. There's hardly anyone even there these days. Learn 2 click maybe? Or, here's a shocker, maybe ask to group? I know all you want to do is bury your head in the sand and avoid social contact, and that's ok, but you're just going to have to deal with other people from time to time and that's ok also. Go do another mission and come back if it bothers you this much.
  5. OP just got mathed! Everyone else explaining it up until this was doing a fine job as well. Also, what happened to OP? I guess you guys scared her off with your calm logic.
  6. You've been around 7 years and only just now started rage-posting. What a great contributing member of the community you've been! Get lost already.
  7. We also will get a nice break from OPs non-stop whiner threads.
  8. It’s not false advertisement. Random means random. What if you got 20 ‘awesome’ things that you really wanted? Would you also be screaming bloody murder? No, you would not. This thread is nothing but a big fat pity attempt of which you’ll get none. I love your shot at the game at the end, though, you should get over yourself. You gambled, you know you gambled, and lost. It’s nobody’s fault, not even yours, but coming here and whining like this is just sad.
  9. No, they didn't even give HIM a name, he's just "Gamorrean Guard". HE also wears the CHICK versions of chest pieces, so if you're wearing something like a Relaxed Jumpsuit chest you'll have the bra band showing. Every chick chest shows the bra piece. So how do we KNOW he's a HE and *not* a SHE? Cuz HE also cannot wear female-specific gear like the dancer outfits cuz they think HE is a HE. I bug-reported this when it first came out and nothing changed. Also, yes, nothing is new at all this time around, they couldn't even be bothered to re-skin a speeder. I wish I could just get money back for an early subscription cancellation but they don't do that so I still have to sit through garbage after garbage for another 2 monhts.
  10. Yeah, ok, you guys lawyered me, but "Planetary Quests" is ambiguous and all I was trying to do was show that there are plenty that give crazy CXP so gimme a break. Also, since you don't get CXP until 70 anyway, and like others have pointed out, why bother speed-leveling to 70 in the first place and *then* going back? If anything, go back for the STORIES and the ADVENTURES, cuz that's what Vanilla SWTOR is all about, not CXP, since you don't get CXP until 70 and Vanilla is all about leveling there's no reason to give any CXP, actually, since a <70 character doesn't need it anyway.
  11. No kidding. What a brutal clickbait thread. Although, it *was* 4/20 yesterday, so who knows what OP was on when they came to this conclusion... or that they actually think what's happening in SWTOR these days is optimistic/bright-future even in the slightest.
  12. Yet another person who thinks that cuz they don't personally like something it shouldn't even be in the game at all and screw anyone else who actually likes what they don't. I think I hate But nothing tops the "delete the JC class" thread.
  13. ... except that isn't what your OP was about. You are complaining about PvE having low CXP rates, and I provided examples for where they aren't low at all, very high actually, so there's no need to try and backtrack like this. I'll say, yet again, that if you're playing SWTOR just to grind CXP to 300, then you're doing it wrong.
  14. Gold sellers are mindless spambots, nothing more, and they are GONE very quickly. Referral scammers are real people who sweet-talk and take advantage of other people who don't know any better, and they'll keep doing it day after day until they are told to stop. They are gaming the in-game system by bribing other players with a pittance of credits for personal gain. Ever see a gold seller bot rage in chat when you tell everyone that it's a scam and to not do it? Referral scammers are worse than gold sellers cuz they can't alter their sales pitch in real time whereas a referral scammer can throw out ToS and other lawyering to try and justify their scam. Referral scammers are pathetic. ... except that it *is* relevant since OP brought up playtime in the first place which is why I said it: ... which reinforces the fact that I don't personally /ignore gold sellers with facesmash names cuz I know they're gone by the next day which means I don't have to sit there and waste even more time deleting them from my /ignore list along with the fact that I've been doing it this way since launch, even when gold sellers actually *did* fill chat, means it's a good system and relevant to this conversation. If people would just have a little mental fortitude to mentally ignore gold sellers, which aren't that common these days but they like to exaggerate, then I'm sure they'd be much happier.
  15. One gold seller every 10 minutes is not ‘filling’ general chat. Once again hyperbole is being used to try and win sympathy for your cause. Go back 5 years and then you can talk about ‘filled’. I’m a launch player and *have* been here a long time and the time it takes to /ignore these and then have to go and manually delete them which wastes even more time when they are gone by the next day versus just mentally ignoring them is not worth it. If anything I’d suggest having a /goldseller option that would put them into their own void that I never have to look at again.
  16. Not missing the point at all, I get the point, what I'm saying is that, just like has been shown numerous times in this very game, that *most* people just can't handle some things not being available to them. You can, I can, that's great, but time and time again the crybabies whine loud enough and long enough and the developers just cave to them... Datacrons, time-specific promotional items, etc. All of this will happen if this goes through: many crybaby whiner threads begging for that Imperial customization to be put onto their Republic character.
  17. 1) Nope. Stop wasting your time /ignoring gold sellers with facesmash character names. They are always gone by the next day. 2) Yep. 3a) Yep. 3b) Nope. If you are *this* paranoid about "toxic" (ffs, hasn't this word-of-the-day run its course yet?) players then maybe MMOs aren't right for you.
  18. The following planetary PvEs will disagree with this thread: Yavin IV: ~25,000 CXP (with a boost, more with the bonuses) for ~20 minutes Iokath: ~28,000 CXP (with a boost, more with the bonuses) for ~30 minutes over 2 days In fact, most of the "Daily Area" missions under "SOLO" are great sources of CXP, but as I've always maintained: farming CXP just to get to 300 is the *wrong* way to play. Command Levels are companions that help you out along the way, they are *not* the reason to play SWTOR, so just play normally and gather stuffs as you go. And although you didn't mention operations, there are people daily advertising for 'final boss lockouts' where you can also get insane CXP for minimal time and effort.
  19. -1 /notsigned™ The only thing that will happen is that crybabies will whine and beg to have them on their "wrong" faction characters cuz, as we all know, nobody here can live without having everything in the game made available to every player. Players just can't be happy for others if it's something they want. Then we'll have endless bickering threads over it until they eventually just make them available across the board cuz they always cave to the whiners.
  20. -1 /notsigned™ Her character has already been established, nobody just all-of-a-sudden becomes gay. They should never go back and make old companions queer, new ones sure, but the old ones are the way they are and that's ok and that's how it should remain.
  21. No kidding. The only way it could possibly be any quieter here, with regards to developer interactions/participation, is if they actually killed the crickets.
  22. It's great that you can personally attack me and call me names, yet the scammers who prey on people who don't know any better or are new to the game are A-OK in your book. It's awesome that you're fine with people gaming the program to make billions. Ways it's a scam: 1) The scammer isn't honest as they never say that they are the ones who truly benefit with Cartel Coins every month. Yet, they're happy to say how many amazing "goodies" you get, which are mostly trash anyway, and love to say "go read the ToS" or "go read the Referral Program to see what it's all about" but somehow never want to just say "By the way, I get Cartel Coins every month as long as you're subscribed, so I can make billions on the GTN with all the packs I buy, which is why I can afford to bribe people who don't know any better with (chump change) 5 million credits", but they never want to put that part in for some reason. 2) They don't pay, then they put the unfortunate clicker on /ignore, and there are plenty of posts and complaints from people who have been scammed like that. 3) I doubt the referral program was ever meant to be abused in this manner which is why they "take care" of the scammers very quickly. I know that it's not allowed or else my own /friend list wouldn't be full of referral scammers that, hmmmm, I never see online again within a few days of reporting their scam. Go figure. If this really *were* allowed then wouldn't chat be flooded with referral spam? The fact that it isn't says a lot. Thankfully, at least on Satele Shan, I don't see them very often any longer and certainly they're gone soon after reporting their scam. TL;DR - Go ahead, keep fighting the good fight for the scammers who take advantage of people, real noble work.
  23. Cool, thanks for the detailed responses. Looks like Priest is the winner.
