  1. So just cuz they can't get this one small part of the game that's a reason to not enjoy the rest of the game? Thousands of hours of things to do but you can't get a small 20-minute thing so that's going to destroy everything else? What a terrible attitude. People depriving themselves of enjoyment for the most petty reasons. Unreal. I couldn't afford the Collector's Edition, and there are items and achievements relating to the CE that I'll never get and that's 100% ok cuz there's a million other things to do including not pouting about something I didn't qualify for for <reasons>. I don't think "real improvement" means what you think it does. "Real improvements" would be things like long-standing bug fixes, or a new engine, or QoL features that we've been asking for for years. So the game's entire future rests on recycling old content for a few people? Seriously? I see this argument quite a bit like you and your people seem to think the only reason SWTOR might be dying is cuz of these subscriber incentives. It's really sad how desperate people are they'll say absolutely anything, no matter how ridiculous, to try and get their stuffs they want so badly.
  2. First, enough with the walls of text. Learn to break up your thoughts into chunks. ... and nowhere does it say they *will* offer it again yet you and your people continue to badger and spam this request but we're not allowed to disagree with it for some reason. Do I need so subscribe to get it? Yes. Does it cost money to subscribe? Yes. Am I a subscriber? Yes. Do I pay to subscribe? Yes. Therefore, it's NOT free. Of course I like the fact that I have something that others don't and of course it makes me feel special cuz I know what I did to earn it and how I supported the game during these promotions and incentives when they were offered. Allowing people to just get anything they want at any time completely devalues these items and encourages people to not bother subscribing during promotions since they'll be able to get them anyway later on. You people love to try and say how much money they'll make to keep the game going by simply allowing this but don't take into consideration how many people won't even bother subscribing during promotions which will hurt their profits and hurt the game. Also, I didn't get anything for free, see above. And? There are endless things I can't get in life cuz I'm new or weren't around or whatever. We all have real lives outside of this game that require decisions on a daily basis on what we do or don't do. That's life. Not everything is available to everyone all the time and that's 100% ok. So here's the actual truth, you want what you want and don't care about anyone else. You're using your whole soapbox under the guise of allowing new and returning players to get this when the fact is you just want this one thing. If they make this, and only this, available again what about JennyNoPay who wants something else? TL;DR - Just nother "gimme gimme gimme" post.
  3. Do I need to subscribe to get it? Yes. Does it cost money to subscribe? Yes. Do I subscribe? Yes. Do I pay money to subscribe? Yes. Therefore, it's not free, cuz I paid for it.
  4. OP actually started this entire mess. By selfishly choosing to do what they wanted in spite of the group wanting to move things along OP is, in fact, the instigator here. Who cares what the reason is: aggro, slow, gathering, dilly-dallying, sight-seeing, etc. If the minority of a group aren't respecting what the majority of the group are doing then they are the ones at fault, not the majority. Please show us where it says votekick is only acceptable for DCs. If someone starts spamming racist remarks, can't kick cuz they haven't DC? Someone goes AFK, can't kick cuz they haven't DC? Also, a real example of what abusing a game mechanic is getting your friends to spam-report someone in chat to get them squelched. Hypocrite much? FYI, "people" includes you. Hypocrite much? You want people to have common decency and respect for all mechanics in the game, but only as long as it benefits you. The votekick mechanic includes kicking for a variety of reasons, not just DCs, so you trying to tell others to respect mechanics when you yourself don't is just sad. Neither is more important than the other, it's the fact that they wanted to move along and you didn't. If they wanted to just stop and watch the nerfs grazing and you didn't then you should also be kicked since you clearly don't care about the group... the GROUP is more important than the individual, and if you don't understand this then just do the solo activities or *gasp* group with people you approve of (ie friends/guild). Hypocrite much? Nice personal attack against Billy there as well. In fact, you've personally attacked many others, but I've already killed enough brain cells here to find and quote them all. Again, please show us where it says votekick is only for DCs. No, *you* are the problem. Your selfish inconsideration for the group dynamic is what started this. As above, the reason does not matter. You selfishly wanted to do your own thing and put your wants ahead of the group. You are the one disrupting the group dynamic and being rude and inconsiderate of the other players. They could have asked you nicely? How do we know they didn't? All we have is your *cough* good word and we should just believe you? ... and if you were taught morals, as you claim, then you need to go get a refund. Hypocrite much? You are 100% to blame for all of this. So, when you say there's a mechanic in the game to use then you can just use it whenever and wherever, right? But when it comes to the votekick mechanic all of a sudden it's only for one thing and one thing only? Which is it? You can't have it both ways. In the end, what we have here is an OP who pulls these stunts constantly, starting stuff and looking for sympathy, and lashing out at anyone who calls them out on their garbage. OP wants us to just believe what they say without any kind of support/proof and take it at face value and their "good word" but I'm happy to see that so many of us aren't falling for it this time.
  5. It's the M.O. of this particular troll and we fall for it every time. The reason doesn't even matter, everyone knows why they were kicked, including OP. The reason could have been "purple monkey dishwasher", which makes no sense, but they know and the group knows and we all know exactly why OP was kicked and that's purely due to OP's selfishness in putting their own wants in front of the group. People keep blaming the group for not coddling OP and asking them to stop it, they very well may have since all we have is the *cough* good word of the OP to go on, isn't fair at all unless you also blame OP for not doing their part and asking to scavenge. It's great that you can so easily label people as 'scumbags' without even bothering to understand that there's two sides to every story. I guess OP is *not* a scumbag then for putting their own needs ahead of the group and thereby holding everyone else up? It's disgusting how easily and quickly people jump on the witch-hunting bandwagon these days. It has nothing to do with luck. OP is just as much a problem, if not moreso, since they wanted to be free to do their own thing and screw the other people who didn't and the fact that the kick happened, which requires a majority of votes proves that. And without any kind of proof, OP could just as easily be making the entire thing up cuz they want attention, which is usually the case. Then they go away for a while until their attention points get too low and have to come back for more attention. Rinse and repeat.
  6. Calling me "dude" is a gender-phobic micro-aggression that offends me and is a personal attack as well. You're getting the attention you wanted, as usual, so kudos for yet another successful troll.
  7. Yep. All OP should have done is report it in-game and /ignore and be done with it but OP, as usual, wanted attention as well and they certainly got it. I swear people spend more time reporting and complaining about the game and they players than they do actually playing the game.
  8. I don't understand, then, how I can do ~15 group activities/week (mix of FPs and OPs and UPs) and hardly ever run into problems. Even the daily bonus GF operation is almost always smooth. And then there are people who seem to constantly have problems so I wish someone could explain that to me. I know people who are upset tend to exaggerate to try and win points but extreme exaggeration seems to be becoming the norm. Great idea.
  9. Except it's 2/3 since the player being voted on doesn't get a vote. GG Darwin? *You* are also part of the problem and the impetus in this scenario. *You* could have and should have said at the start that you wanted to scavenge just like people are expected to say "is it ok to watch cutscenes" before everyone starts. You *should* know that people play for different reasons, whether it's social points or a simple speed run, and taken that into consideration before just being selfish and doing your own thing. The fact that the majority wanted you out means *you* were in the wrong here, it doesn't matter what they wrote for a reason, everyone knows the reason and that's cuz *you* were the minority. They could have written "purple monkey dishwasher" and you'd be offended by that also. You seem to think that you have no fault in any of this or anything else and it's always the fault of the other people. Would you have been ok with no reason at all? I doubt it since everything offends you. And, again, without any sort of proof you're just slandering people and the saddest part is all the people that just believe you without even thinking of the other side of the story. You are trying to instigate another witch hunt and get people in trouble for whatever reason that offended you this time. Reminds me of a thread a while back where the complainer was accusing another guild leader of flirting and destroying relationships, without proof, and, again, people just automatically sided with them and then when the accused party came to defend themselves it all became clear that the OP was just trying to get someone in trouble. TL;DR - Even though witch-hunting is popular in society these days it's not ok to just automatically believe someone's story without considering there's another side.
  10. Yep. There was a majority since that's what it takes to kick someone. People get kicked all the time without discussions or reasons. Yep. Majority rules. There was a special snowflake a while back on Jedi Covenant, another Woe-is-Me Troll, that cried all day in chat and when in FPs insisted on doing everything... main objectives, bonus stuff, conversations, etc even when the other 3 begged them to stop doing that so we could get through and they refused so they get kicked. I had the misfortune of getting this snowflake twice before I /ignored but that was their preferred troll method just like OP's preferred method is to complain about everything. Even in OP's more detailed transcription it's clear that OP was the problem. It doesn't matter if one said 'stop it' and another said 'let them do it' and the third was quiet. It takes a majority to kick someone so obviously they wanted to get going. Who cares what the reason was, if they put "loser" or "slow moron" or "too slow" as a reason would that have been better? And, again, without actual proof it's just slandering of others by OP and shouldn't be allowed.
  11. She doesn't speak for me either. I'm fine with knock-offs and re-skins. Leave the originals to the people who earned them when they were supposed to.
  12. -1 /notsigned™ No it should not be. Did you buy a single-player game? Does it say anywhere at all that this is a single-player game? Right, it doesn’t, this is a multiplayer game with parts you can solo and that’s where it ends. If you want to enjoy the entire game then *play* the entire game.
  13. That's a perfect solution for these people that just can't be bothered to learn the basic basics. If it wasn't so sad it'd be funny.
  14. I keep suggesting that when you launch SWTOR the only thing that pops up is a giant "YOU WIN" button and when you click it the game shuts down. It may as well be that at this point.
  15. I'm confused. You say you like having class-specific stuff and have something different happen... but all 25 chapters are exactly the same. Maybe I'm just not picking up what you're putting down. I'm glad people like the chapters, and I did initially, but after Chapter 9 I just lost interest to the point where only my main has been through the entire thing and considering how much went into making these, and the cinematic, it feels like a total cluster-fudge.
  16. Me too, and I appreciate what they tried to accomplish, but I just *cannot* do the same 25 chapters/story on 20 different characters. I played up to 9 with all my characters, then fewer and fewer as each chapter came out, and at the end I've only done 25 with ONE character. At the very least this proved that a one-size-fits-all format just doesn't work and if the game survives longer than 6 more months maybe they'll get back to basics.
  17. Thanks for this, almost impossible to get the remaining PvP achievements these days.
  18. Yep, but I very much doubt they want to take a little time and make a little effort to l2p anything at all.
  19. So what’s the point of anything if all you want to do is watch a video of how it’s done and then just copy that? Why even play? What ever happened to figuring out things on your own or have your group work together? The whole point of Story Modes is to help you learn mechanics and then they typically add more mechanics for the harder versions. Story Mode operations/everything are actually EASIER than they were at launch. I don’t see how they can possibly get any simpler. Seriously, why not just have a YOU WIN button you press when the game launches that shuts it down then you don’t even have to play at all.
  20. -1 /notsigned™ How hard is it to click gifts while you’re waiting for a Q to pop? I guess it takes away from your chat trolllng and emote spamming. You could also place the gifts on your quickbar and assign a key to it so you’re no longer right-clicking.
  21. How is it lame? Are you a software programmer? It’s something they had to do to make it work and I’m sure if it was as easy as you seem to think then they would have been able to keep both things but this is how it’s always been.
  22. Why do the entitleds seem to think that this will bring in soooo many subscribers and soooooo much money? It's like they think it's some kind of magic thing that will immediately restore SWTOR to the glory of launch or something when that didn't even happen when the promotion was first offered. O_o Maybe we should start calling them the "Unentitleds" since "entitled" is an insult to those of us who actually *are* entitled to the stuffs that we earned. Yes, we *did* earn them since we did what was necessary to get them, no matter what the criteria was.
  23. Who's "Yain"? Profredding am dificult.
  24. This whole glitch would be akin to finding an old flyer from Target that somehow managed to get mistakenly placed in with the new flyers that's a few years old with clear sale dates that are long gone and then going to the manager demanding those sale prices and claiming false advertising when all you did was find an old advertisement. O_o As others have pointed out, nobody paid for something and didn't get it since the dates are clearly old and expired, so not reading the promotion with any care and attention is the fault of the reader since it's all there. TL;DR - It's not false advertising.
  25. I just wish they'd figure out *something* to get OW-PvP going again. There are so many achievements that are next to impossible to get now such as: Czerka Biohazard - Defeat 1980 Players on CZ-198 Master of the Black Hole District - Defeat 500 players in the Black Hole daily area Archon of Makeb - Defeat 500 players on Makeb Master of Belsavis - Defeat 500 players on Belsavis ... and many more. Every vanilla planet/daily area has PvP achievements and the only way to get them done these days is to cheese the system with friends from other factions getting together and kill-trading. So what can be done? If the engine can't handle it then how about breaking down these areas into Warzones: Outlaw's Den could be kept on Tattooine but also copy/pasted into a warzone, same for a nice chunk of CZ-198 and Black Hole. For the planets that already have their "own" warzones (Alderaan/Civil War), they could always make those count towards the planetary achievement though I'd rather not have them go this route even though it may be the only way to do it. TL;DR - i'd love for them to revamp OW-PvP so I can get the achievements since there's not much left I have to do in SWTOR.
