  1. (...)

as i see another copypasta posting with a day difference i am going out on a limb and assume that others will have yet another date close to ours. we are talking about over 1 million in game mails thats a lot of work any way you do it.

    (...)

Might also be a result of the changed rules to get the free days - gives them a bit more time to process things. Just a guess. I got the email on the 12th.

Edit - or as you said, just a way of not sending ALL of them out at the same time.

  2. The official email said (edited to include the complete text with clarification on who "get's" the pet):

As an added bonus, we will be awarding all active subscribers an in-game Legacy reward, the Legacy Tauntaun Ram Pet**, as our way of saying thanks for your support. 3. Under the premise that this is a one-time event I would only change one thing for future events - reduce the amount of time required to obtain a cosmetic armour set.

Otherwise the event was very well done.

Are these comments about firing people all the time really necessary?

I'm not level 50 and I have the title.

  4. Throwing some uneducated math in here. Under the assumption that completing an average mission does not take much longer regardless of level.

If you get 1k xp for a low level mission - you get ~500 lxp

If you get 9k xp for a ~lvl 44 mission - you get ~2k lxp

Totally not researched and tested of course, again, just a gut feeling.

  5. I tried this with my lvl 23 Gunslinger, seems the lowest level the mobs spawn are lvl 26. So it's definitely not a 50's only event.

The Worldbosses is another thing, unless you are in a guild it's very unlikely one gets into a group that does them when you aren't 48 at least.

Once you fight them the adds that spawn are at the same level as you - or the highest lvl member in your group. I joined an OPS and thought I would continue my mission a bit first with my lvl 45 at that time and wondered why they don't drop dead ... well they were lvl 50 because of being part of an OPS - even though no one was close by.

  6. I would say for the solo content minimum around lvl 25-26 to do it alone. Some parts will definitely be more tricky - like the stuff in the heroic areas, but there is a lot that you can easily do. For me the fact that the adds spawn at your lvl and are not by default lvl 50 shows that it is not designed to be exclusively lvl 50 content.
  7. Lol, please tell me a man who even has a clue about a woman and what we want and think and a lot of times they would be entirely wrong. :D

This is true, no matter how our answer is, it was the wrong answer :D

However, you do learn to read the situation, call it a survival instinct. If you ask her what's wrong and the answer is something along the line of "Nothing" in a certain tone of voice ... well, you are going to react wrong anyways, but let's say you can try to delay it by quickly disappearing. On the other hand, don't listen to me, because you'll be in trouble when you're coming back. BUT! Flowers usually work to a degree. If they are the right ones, which you likely did not get. But every little bit helps!

  8. I havent a clue what to for the event. I logged in on the fleet and all I got yesterday was near continuous voice announcements about the Rakghoul Plague getting onto other planets but not to go to Tattoine (I can anyway Im l20ish).

As I'm just on Taris doing the Rakghoul stuff I thought I was part of my quest arc there. So I went back to Taris to continue questing there.

Any pointers on what to do or where to go?

There is a few "guides" kicking around - check this out

    Hope it helps.

  9. I'd rather have a random timer then have it bound to legacy - only because it also drops from a boss.

That said I am not sure how someone has the upper hand even if he knows when it will spawn. You pretty much know it won't be long when that person comes on - spam the clicker (try to loot) - should be 50/50? Maybe he has the advantage once if the clickeable area is smaller and you are not exactly sure where to click. But after that?

Out of principle I would not buy this on the GTN if the mechanic is abused like this.

  10. I would probably tend to say shadow/tank (or imp equivalent) as well. Love my BH no question, but stealth and the ability to disappear (if you don't have a hot on you) plus a nice sprint out of the zone and the 60 sec cc on humanoids ... pretty good stuff. I don't even have my healing companion that well geared.

Then again - everybody loves Mako :)

  11. On the ship might be one thing, but off the ship I would leave as is. The alternative would likely involve choosing which companion to give the gift to, which will take longer then currently if you have collected a few of them.

Well this is what I do anyways, wait until I have a bunch in the bag, sort them by who likes what best and then I rotate my companions through.

  12. The main question for me is - why do people take some of this stuff serious? For example the vote from that website with the subtitle "shoppers bite back". I cannot take this serious. I'm probably weird but in a world full of bloggers that can write pretty much everything ...

I mean even in normal newspapers you have to take things with a grain of salt and read at least two other papers on the same topic to get a picture ...

Is this the new trend? A new sport of semi-intelligent half baked maybe somewhat researched "news" providing a minimum entertainment value? Or just a modern version of global gossiping?

  13. The webcomic I do is now part of a regualr feature at torwars.com! MinionSlayer mondays will be happening for as long as it can be done!

A big thanks to all of you that have sent suggestions and supported me thus far!!

    So begins a new chapter....

What does that mean? Is this like a promotion where we get to benefit as well by reading more of your comics?!

Keep us in the loop :)
