  1. Good post tho it is kind of a blight on the game they don't have a true winner take all competitive pvp mode. I'll die on the hill saying that it shouldn't be 4 v 4 because I just feel the mode is too imbalanced with the haves and have not with classes ect. I like the idea of having a certain period of time where ranked matches are turned on but I think it should be only solo queue and only 8 v 8 wzs. The matchfinder would have to be fixed to ensure better quality matches but yeah I think something like that could work in an event format.

    Hutt ball isn't broken at all, the issues stem from a lack of skill for many ppl and not knowing how to play the map. Point has been made stealth in end zone isn't an issue if ur team is controlling mid, meaning u have to pass dps checks. Even if a tank happens to get the ball, there are a multitude of ways to keep the tank from ever getting near an area where he can make a pass if ur using ur abilities correctly and the team is pumping out enough dmg. Reality is the skill level is low overall in pvp these days, so ur gonna run into problems periodically. I don't think it has anything to do with the way the warzone functions (Quesh being thr obvious outlier).

The first few on this page look very similar to what you want, not sure the exact set you want is available for purchase but you can always browse different pieces and mix and match them to achieve the look you want.   5. First off, were you the GM? And Had you logged in the past month? Very possible you lost GM privileges and someone took over ur guild, either sold it or renamed it and you got kicked. I had my own guild, and the only time my guild disappeared is because I had a bit of an unsavory guild name according to CS. Guild apparently got deleted but when I went into the guild tab area I was able to find a spot where I could rename the guild and it went active again. If that's not your situation then it might be a new bug that popped up. I'd say poke around in the guild tab first and if u can't figure it out submit a ticket.
  6. I just recently helped a friend, who had never gotten the datacrons, run through a ton of them. It's actually fun exploring the different worlds, but ur right It's an insane grind that I would never do on my multiple toons. Maybe they could just condense the grind a bit. Make a maximum stat pool of the datacrons and assign more points to the more difficult datacrons to get. Like the fleet/rishi datactrons would give u all the stats the starter planets give and once you reach the maximum stats then u can't benefit from the other ones. It's time consuming, and if you could do 2 or 3 of the harder ones then you'd max ur stats out and have no need to go to every planet to practice your parkour skills.

  12. In the same way I was forced to solo hm red reaper a billion times to get gear in 6.0 you can get bis 344 gear very simply by running Dash/Nefra nim groups. Same thing as 6.0 unless of course your favorite thing to do in game is run the same fps over and over again, then I could understand why you'd prefer 6.0 to 7.0.
  13. This logic doesn't logic for me tbh...You don't need 344 gear for anything in game unless ur actually doing ops so what exactly are u missing out on? In 6.0 I didn't want to do hm fps to get gear either but I was forced to do it, so there's not much a difference is there?

    I like hutt ball. Its like the one pvp game mode that's different from anything in the mmo space. Quesh hutt ball is broken tho so I understand why ppl dislike it, but OG hutt ball is legendary imo.

  16. You forgot to mention that in order to min max properly (high power mods) you needed to buy an unidentified mod from the vendor and then let rng decide if it was what you needed or not. Also I never even got the best set bonus for Vanguard because it was locked behind the nim Dxun raid. The amplifiers were a joke, from my experience they purposely made a gold crit rate (whatever u want to call it?) Worse if u were trying to unlock the amplifier you needed on the class you needed it. I got so fed up trying to get the gold amplifiers on my scoundrel that I swapped to sorc and, what a surprise kept getting the scoundrel gold amplifiers unlocked on a toon that didn't need them. Fortunately you could just swap ur armorings around in the legacy bound gear...but yes it was a mess. 7.0 gearing while seemingly more complicated due to the different currencies is so much easier and better than 6.0 I always laugh when I sew ppl say we need to go back to that lol.
  17. If you left that long ago, there is a ton of content you've missed out on. Some really fun flashpoints and operations as well. You'll have a lot to keep you occupied for several months if you do end up returning πŸ‘πŸ‘
  18. You use an empty shell - shield because then you actually shield attacks but you use the dps mods/armoring/enhancements. The real issue is that jugg skanks best hitting aoe ability (crushing blow iirc) hits for like 80k on multiple targets (they nerfed it by only 5% recently). I play vanguard tank and on the aoe ability that hits in a cone (Ion wave) ur hitting ppl for maybe slightly more than 50k on a crit only really when ur crit chance ability us up which is every 2 minutes on cd. They also just nerfed the explosive fuel tactical for vanguard, in normal biosword fashion..nerf the class thats not performing that well (in pvp anyways). I'm assuming it was overperforming in pve which is how they balance these things πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  19. When they introduced Ion wave in 5.0 for vanguard it was massively op. Then a few years later they nerfed its damage by 60% and that was the end for vanguard skank tank being so strong. I think what they did was overkill tbh, and something similar needs to happen with jugg but not quite that extreme that u just kill an entire spec.
  20. Hes right tho just logged into a lowbie to see if I could find the abilities anywhere in game and you can't. I think that's obviously a design flaw you shouldn't have to Google some info that should be available in game. This actually reminded me of another issue that's similar. When you are gearing up there's no way to view stats on gear u aren't able to buy. For example I was trying to decide if I was going to upgrade my 336 thyrisian relics (pvp gear) to 340 rakata relics, but couldn't see the stats on the 340 rakata stuff unless I wasted a bunch of op-1 catalysts to upgrade my relics. Should be a way in game to compare the gear so u can thoughtfully decide how you want to spend your currency, shouldn't be flying blind on something like that especially considering the grind.

I agree with this, the game is very boring if you can't try to build ur own little hybrid spec, the individuality of builds in this game are sorely lacking and that takes a lot of fun out of it. To agree with the point tho it makes no sense that jugg dps is so strong on tank because u don't have the same issue at all with vanguard or shadow dps gear or not. Reality is a few of their abilities are overtuned. Tanks imo should have a ton of versatility but yeah they shouldn't be topping the dps charts. It's not a gear/stat problem it's a balancing issue.
  22. Yeah I don't disagree there are a few classes/specs that need some tuning but I don't think it's some massive problem and it's the worst it's ever been or makes the game unplayable.
  23. Idk I think the harsh reality that a lot of us hardcore players have to accept is that the game is being developed for very casual players these days. I think they probably outnumber the old school mmo types by quite a lot. So bottom line business wise they are taking the right approach most likely. I was talking with an old ranked player friend of mine who has just come back to the game after 5 years or so. He said he actually likes the pvp right now (plays merc heals) and said that he understands why they pruned abilities. He feels like the average player is a bit better, but the pruning probably hurt the top 5% as they knew how to play the classes to the highest ability. That's just his anecdote and I dunno if I completely agree but I see where he's coming from. I don't feel the average player is better per se, but that could be down to the game hemorrhaging older players for years. So maybe the newer inexperienced player is in better in position to jump in a wz and perform better. I do feel the level of player was better 5 years ago overall tho. The quandary that the devs find themselves in is that they run an mmo with a skeleton crew. So you've got two options, either cater to the player base who's casual and you can keep around because they play space barbie and the stories over and over, or the second option is hiring like 80 more devs and start creating a lot of mmo content on a regular basis. We all know the latter isn't happening so unfortunately you are probably going to see more decisions like this in the future, if we are being completely honest about the situation. I think they do about as well as they can considering the resources they are given, and what their priorities are.
  24. For ur current abilities you hit the "p" key and then filter by vanguard, I'm pretty sure u should have guard by now. Then drag abilities on to ur action bar. As far as seeing upcoming abilities u used to be able to access that info at a class skill trainer again there was a button to filter all abilities as opposed to the ones you could learn at the time. Not sure if that still exists considering the abilities are just granted now but u might want to check that out.
  25. The reality is somewhere in the middle. Pruning did hurt the top.. say, 10% of pvpers (not going to mention leveling here because I don't do much of it personally) because they used all their skills and knew how to counter certain things with their entire toolkit. The pruning probably helped a good portion of the casual pvp player base tho because it narrowed down the choices and made the classes overall easier to learn. Meta Specs and op classes have always been an issue tho, it's not just a 7.0 thing. Issue is now that they've allowed more than 4 players in a group to queue so the meta comp and op class stacking is more of an issue now than it's ever been at least in wzs, so they've gone and amplified that issue. Although I do agree go back to 5.0 and you've got a 4 man premade made up of 4 mercs and it was just as big of a mess for melee classes. Classes really have always been unbalanced and it's sadly just a reality of mmos. The way you combat that is class balance changes more often than once every 6 months. Balance classes early and often don't allow the problems to fester for months or years. It's honestly not a lot to ask and I don't think pvp is too far away from being very good. Just needs a bit of adjusting which we don't seem to be getting unfortunately. Imo the answer is never "rerolling" always look forward to how u can improve the new system. What's really funny is that wow did a similar thing to pvp that swtor did and everyone hated it. Guess what they did? Brought back legit mmo skill trees πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
