  1. Yes that's why I do the bonus on it with a ling sorc because the cleave is nice and it's quick on ranged, the mobs are annoying on melee for reasons πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Some heroics are actually really fun for doing stuff like getting ur rotations down. Pub side Raghoul Release on Taris is so fun on a smash spec guardian/jugg. Just round up all the mobs, slam spam, and watch the dots fly.
  2. Many players are up in arms due to the reputation token cp nerf. However, I do feel like the infinite heroic addition has more than made up for it tbh. I know not everyone plays the same, but just as an example of how fast you can finish conquest, I tracked my progress on a couple toons to share here for anyone that might need tips to finish as quickly as possible. If anyone has a faster/better way to finish please share here I know everyone doing conquest would appreciate as well as myself πŸ‘πŸ‘ Character 1: lightning sorc Cz weekly patrol - 11,180, Cz mission complete 5,200, cz defeat enemies 4,290, cz defeat enemies 2 - 8,710, cz heroic - 5,200, heroic mission complete 5,200 Balmorra toxic bombs heroic - 5,200, heroic mission completed 5,200, Bonus Mission 2,860 Dromund Kaas Possesed Hunter heroic - 5,200, heroic mission completed 5,200, DK defeat enemies 4,290 Koriban Armed and Dangerous heroic - 5,200, heroic mission complete 5,200, Korriban defeat enemies 4,290 Galactic seasons progress - 9,880 Killing all the mobs while questing - 9,568 Total = 101,868 Character 2: lethality operative Companion influencer - 17,420 Ossus weekly patrol - 34,190, ossus mission complete 5,200, ossus defeat enemies 4,290 Tatooine Black Box Heroic - 5,200, heroic mission complete 5,200 Belsavis rock and hard place heroic - 5,200, heroic mission complete 5,200 Hoth defeat enemies - 4,290 Hutta man with the steel voice heroic - 5,200, heroic mission complete 5,200 Killing mobs while questing - 4,202 Total = 100,792 This took me 42 minutes Total including all the load times picking up missions swapping load outs etc. Granted some of these points are amplified thanks to guild bonuses but it's honestly faster to do conquest with the way I play than it was before.
  3. And? Let's revisit the context of the conversation here. "Seasons are too hard because it's too hard to win matches", as the op said he had to play like 56 matches to get his 3 weeklies done. I've said elsewhere that winning matches against farming premades is not that difficult. Facing off against said premades we gave them plenty of warm bodies to farm damage off of, also while playing objectives and helping our team win (while our one dps still did top dmg lol). So maybe taking a different approach similar to mine might yield 3 weeklies done in 16 matches instead of 56. That was the whole point of the conversation. Second, we were a team of 3 going up against 5-6. Not sure how good u are at math but adding those numbers up doesn't equal 16 which is the total you'd need for a match to pop πŸ‘πŸ˜ Like clockwork lol not even the topic of discussion. I play on SF so I couldn't tell you. When we queued for arenas we were just a tank and heal combo, but we were getting tank/heal games during prime time. The matchmaking got progressively worse as the night went on tho πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  4. Conveniently ignore that we were fighting other big premades pretty much all night.
  5. I already tried to give him some tips on how to improve his experience and I was ignored. So in my mind that means he just wants the rewards handed to him with even less effort required than what the devs have already offered... I finished the 1k cap on the pvp season and like 3 weeklies last night. Went 12 - 4 in wzs I think and like 6 - 0 in arenas queueing as a tank with a healer and we had 1 dps grouped with us half the time. Faced plenty of 5 - 6 man farming premades as well. I think ppl do want to win and make it easier to get through the season but that means u actually have to work a bit to improve your game or make friends and coordinate in voice. Seems a lot of players are allergic to that.
  6. Yeah I won't go out of my way to find extra mobs because it takes too much time. Where I added the kill 25 mobs most of those are convenient to do while u run through the heroic and not having to go out of your way to find other mobs to kill. That's more of a speed run guide than anything πŸ‘πŸ‘
  7. These types of games are extremely easy to win tho. I'm like you I'll kamikaze mid all game and keep giving them a warm body. Key is the other ppl on the team who are demoralized and leaving just at the sight of a premade, instead need to be attacking the other node . The zerg squads won't be looking for a call out nor do they care about winning. So if the team is half way competent it should be an easy win. This kinda thing really irks me, two premades who just want to fight end up on the same team. It's something broken within matchmaker that shouldn't be happening because those games aren't fun for anyone. The premades aren't getting good fights like they want (assuming just stomping unsuspecting pugs isn't their thing, but it could be 😭) and the other team is probably just getting farmed at spawn. Tweak to matchmaker could make a massive difference in everyone's experience, but the devs don't bother with it. I know a lot of ppl who only group in 8 man's if there's another premade they can fight. There are like minded ppl out there that don't find it fun to get in a match where ppl can't defend themselves and are just melting. My friends and I refuse to join a group bigger than 4 or so unless there's another premade to fight. Even then a 4 man group is overkill plenty of times if it's all dps.
  8. But I bet those 3 wins feel really good πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Joking aside what is the server you play on? I've got some ideas to help you until BS figures it out, they might not ever btw so you might do well taking my advice. I would say transfer a toon to starforge. So many more warzones pop there so even when u do get a big premade that might contribute to you losing a match you can dodge them the next time if you don't want to play against them again, multiple warzones will pop especially at prime time hours. It's not optimal but I believe you said u wanted the decos or something, so if u transfer back to ur original server after the season you'll keep ur decos. Again you have to pay like $20 to do this with both transfer but if you want them that badly it's a less painful way. Second let's talk about your skill. Do you keybind ur abilities or do u click? Do you have a 12 button mouse? Are u a keyboard turner? Do you actually have a mouse? Believe it or not I've known ppl to play pvp without a mouse and clearly a lack of most of the stuff I've mentioned puts you at a disadvantage. Make some friends, form some groups, get in voice chat so u can call out incoming to nodes or coordinate focusing targets etc. This is all stuff that vet pvpers do and I'm assuming it's why your win percentage is so low. Also it's a lot more fun to make friends with ppl and pvp with them than it is solo. If you don't want to do any if that stuff that's fine that's your decision, but at the end of the day if ur not taking strides to improve your play, the results will show.
  9. Great guide. My strategy is trying to get the 25 kills per planet as well for the extra 4,125 cp which u can do once per day, so most of these are convenient for finishing a heroic plus the 25 kills, and now add 5k with the new repeatable heroic cp mission to be added soon. So once a day most of these heroics will net u close to 15k conquest for 5 minutes or less. Here's my pub side list: Alderaan: Proof of Treason Alderaan: Special Delivery Balmorra: Justice for the Lost Belsavis: Jungle Fight - Bonus for killing mobs (can stealth all the way to click) Coruscant: Enemies of the Republic Hoth: Frostclaw - Bonus for killing mobs (can stealth to end just to finish heroic) Nar Shaddaa: Lab Animals - (this heroic also has a ton of exploding crates for the "This Will Do Nicely" seasons objective) Ord Mantell: Buying Loyalty (this is a do nothing but click) Taris: Rakghoul Release - Bonus for killing mobs (if you play a cleave spec this one is actually fun) Taris: Mutations Tython: Chamber of Speech: - Bonus for killing droids (mobs are paper thin you can kill 50 in here fast and easy so add not only the 4,125 but also the 8,375 cp.) Tatooine: Pirate Bullies (can stealth to objective)
  10. Best HK skin is the one u get from Bounty Week.
  11. Heroics are part of my daily routine of hitting conquest regardless most of the time u can stealth to something and click and if ur not a stealther u might as well kill the 25 you need for the planet. So if you basically just hop from planet to planet and do the easiest heroic there it's more like 15k per planet than just 5k. It's honestly not a bad compromise. However I do get that a lot of ppl don't want to do the heroics at all but it is fast, I can do most of them in about 2 minutes (without killing the mobs).
  12. These ppl are well known within the pvp community and have been seen every night in warzones and arenas hiding and not coming out of stealth. Been reported a bunch of times by many different ppl and there's even threads about it in the pvp section of the forums. I do care about conquest, I've been on the record stating that I usually do like 12 - 14 characters a week. So for the sake of ur argument ur assuming someone wins 100% of their matches lol that's not even remotely close to reality. Someone made a post today saying the pvp grind is far too long as they've got a win percentage of 28%, so they are effectively winning 1 out of every 4 matches, its 3 points for a win and 1 point for a loss btw. So without factoring in queue times that's two hours for one wz weekly. Anyways as someone who mainly pvps but still does dailys and heroics to get conquest on alts, I'm bummed about losing the rep cp. However I will still say that group content is more challenging and not always available, especially for ppl on smaller pop servers so it should be worth more than the convenience of logging in and playing pve at ur own pace solo.
  13. A lot of it also depends on the server u play on. If the pops take too long then yeah it can be a real slog and then ur seeing all the same ppl in a wz. On SF you get 8 to 10 different wzs popping at a time in peak hours so just through luck of the draw u can avoid an 8 man premade for example or u can at least get a variety of different teammates. One of things I didn't mention in my first post is that matchmaker is broken. Many ppl have said they believe it to be based upon wins, but when u have a lot of players who don't care about winning and just want to farm, have a low win % as well and it messes up the teams. So yeah matchmaker needs to be adjusted to consider that.
  14. Not really tho because a lot of ppl are just there to kill other players and they hardly ever win or do objs but like I said they don't care and aren't concerned about finishing weeklies. No disagreement from me I don't do pve but I have been in ops sporadically and it's def time consuming. Massive oversight if finishing harder content in game doesn't give u the proper conquest rewards.
  15. Except the whole reason they made seasons was to get more ppl in queue, so they are using the seasons rewards and high conquest as the carrot to make ppl queue and pull the cart. Pvp should have high conquest tho considering the amount of time u have to dedicate to finish the weekly.
  16. The issue with the pvp season, as you've already admitted here yourself, is that it forces players into the queue who don't really enjoy the game mode and are just there for the rewards. I don't understand what the devs were trying to accomplish with it. They removed ranked and replaced it with this as if it would placate the ranked players or something. But now it just forces a bunch of ppl into queue as food for the veteran players who are usually grouped, and it's not pretty. I think u have to look at the motivation of what the devs were trying to accomplish. Did they see the pvp participation slipping and seasons was the easy solution to get more ppl into queue? Not sure tbh. Don't think this is viable depending again on what the devs are trying to accomplish here. They put 1k cap on points weekly. Which pushes me to believe they want ppl participating for the duration of the season. Plus pvp rewards a ton of conquest, tech frags ect. There are ppl who enjoy pvp like myself who hit these goals pretty easily. I don't want my rewards nerfed to make it easier for casuals who don't even like pvp. That's assuming if they lowered the required time to finish they'd most likely nerf the rewards significantly considering they've done similar things in other aspects of the game. These two points seem to touch on the population. The best solution I've come up with to fix a lot of the problems related to this, is cross server queueing. I'm assuming ur not on SF because pvp pops all day and night there, so I understand the frustration of queue times and wzs not even being completely full. Cross server queueing would alleviate these problems as there'd be more players in queue, matchmaker could in theory make better matches with a larger pool of players to draw from, shorter queue time etc etc. This request has been made previously but ignored. And i think the reasoning is because again they want ppl in the warzone queues. Allowing ppl to jump into GSF (which btw is a lot more afk friendly) to finish the pvp season is gonna dilute the queue. Maybe a seperate gsf season would be more appropriate? You are right about this tho there desperately needs to be a leaderboard because it would probably promote objective play in wzs as there's almost no reason to do so atm for a lot of vet pvpers, and it would def interest former ranked players who've since quit because they don't feel there is a competitive aspect of pvp without it. It wouldn't work in the current iteration of the seasons tho because you can queue 8 men in wzs and 4 man's in arenas while dodging other big premades and crushing pugs. My two cents on how to fix things. 1. Cross server queues which leads to faster pops and more balanced matches at all times of the day. 2. Reduce the max number of ppl in group to 4. 8 is overkill for most vet pvpers, the matches aren't fun for anyone when its an 8 man premade against 8 pugs. Cross server would help this as well being able to match two or mutliple 4 man's against eachother wherever they may be queueing. 3. Agree with ur point that there needs to be a leaderboard. I'm against a running tally tho just for the whole season because that opens the door for cheating/win trading. There needs to be like certain hours/days dedicated to the rated matches. Clearly the population would spike and ppl couldnt win trade as easily. I'm sure they'd come up with some idea on how to do it tho lol πŸ˜†
  17. Name names then. I've seen one person say this and he's a gsf player. The afk thing isn't actually an issue in warzones because the weekly takes far more games played than GSF for example. There were two players I can think of that were known as serial afkers in wzs and they've both been banned. Again it's probably much more of an issue in GSF because it's far easier to get the weekly there than in wzs, and takes much less time if it's popping. Not to be rude but I feel like you have no clue about pvp in this game because pvpers don't care about conquest. I'm in pvp guilds who don't even set conquest targets lol. They are in pvp to kill other players that's basically it and they'd be in there regardless of how much conquest you get for doing it. More ppl have started playing in the last year but I don't feel like it's a conquest thing, more because of the seasons track and the rewards from the vendor for pvp tokens. There are far better ways to gain conquest than go afk in a wz. I've already broken down the time it takes. If ur putting ur team at a disadvantage u are going to lose a lot. You need 12 losses in matches that average about 12 minutes, not considering time u wait in queue. So do the math, even on the conservative side its gonna take 3 hours for maybe 200 - 250k conquest. Plus all the toxicity you experience when ur afk in a match. You can gain the same amount of points if not more from actually doing things in game u might enjoy, and also being able to spread the conquest points out to more toons.
  18. I care far less about the conquest points than this exact point. You mentioned the term micro-managing which is exactly what it is. Ppl were logging in to play the game and enjoying conquest because it wasn't too overbearing as far as time demands are concerned. Again the decision to do it is one thing but the thought process behind it is far more alarming to me. Swtor is in a sad state, pvp is completely ignored for example, we can't even get class balancing, and we've got the devs over here concerning themselves with busy work as opposed to ya know actually making the game better...please get ur priorities straight and start making changes that benefit us instead of being obsessive about stuff like this thats mostly inconsequential besides of course alienating your player base😬😬
  19. I dont think there's an actual answer to this because it's all situational. Does your friend have a bunch of lvl 80 toons? If so he can farm the conquest get to 100k on all his toons and get the 200 conquest comms and the buy the fp-1 gear. You turn in 2k conquest comms for 400 fp-1s. If you upgrade a belt for example (which I think is the cheapest item) it's like 170 fp1s for an upgrade. So you will need to get to 6,800 conquest comms to fully upgrade a lvl 324 blue all the way to 340 blue. So it's gonna take a while no matter what. I think the absolute fastest way to go would probably be to do a ton of GSF (or pvp but gsf weeklies take less time) get a couple pieces of gear to 336, unlock the 336 enhancements/mods first, and then run flashpoints to get a higher level blue gear drop. Then you would only have to upgrade it two times to get a 340 blue piece. I know u said no OPs but for the 340 purple it's the same idea, join a nim nefra group get the higher level rakata drop from that boss and upgrade it twice.
  20. Which server do u play on? I think most of the time the hm/nim ops are reserved for mostly guilds because yeah they aren't necessarily pug friendly. I pug my way into the nim nefra and nim dash groups to tank and usually they are easy to clear but a whole operation is a different story.
  21. Ahh apologies I was wrong about that, but no conquest objectives for finishing the dailies right?
  22. I was having a chat with my friend the other day, a former sub who only hops on to pvp with me for an hour or two a week. And he was saying how much he enjoyed 5.0 era because of Ossus. The new area designed to gear up and get people playing the new content, and mentioned it still felt like an mmo back then. His opinion is that 6.0 was a big mistake because they introduced the gearing track for simply just playing old recycled content, (which ppl to this day still swear it was great because "Play your own way".) This is when hammer station spam became a thing. Ruhnuk was a nice new shiny area that had a rep track and iirc has good conquest points for finishing dailys, manaan was similar, but u can't get there on all ur alts unless u spend a ton of time grinding story. Since then they've released a new daily area on Voss, and a new daily area on Ord Mantell with no real reason to go there. No conquest for finishing dailies, no reputation, just story. If I were BS I'd allow players to now jump to at least the manaan area of the story and allow all their toons to be able to access those conquest points without having to play an insane amount of story. At least that way you'd have toons you could run through the dailies for conquest points in lieu of the old rep token thing.
  23. Sounds like they should have replaced the old crafting gear with this stuff as opposed to just throwing them on a vendor. That way the ppl who craft stuff can be thrown a bone and then it could go up on the gtn as a credit sink with the fees? Also would be easier to collect a set for ppl interested than being frustrated with pure rng.
  24. First off if ur not a subscriber I think u get locked out of the main forums, but can post in the new player help area only. Second, I think the class you are describing is lethality operative, you should have the all the attacks you mentioned, lethal strike, shiv, and noxious knives which is the conal aoe attack. Hit P to bring up your abilities and if they aren't in ur quick bar u can drag and drop them from the abilities tab. I think the only choice u have to make in the "skill tree" is the stun called debilitate. So you'll need to go make sure you have that skill chosen if you want it. Pull up ur character page by hitting k, and go to the combat styles tab. It will show u the 3 diff specs for operative, make sure you are on lethality. The choices are there on the right hand side, read through the trees and decide which abilities you like.
  25. They added this blue cosmetic gear but it was dropping at too high of a rate apparently. I've noticed I started getting gear with stats on it again more often hope its fixed for you now.
