But he isn't anymore, he has been redeemed. A big thing in Star Wars is redemption. Yes I agree he has done some awful and clearly unforgivable things but that's how these stories go. You either forgive not forget and give him a chance to repent or you don't, but you can't just slap a name on a random npc and say they would be just as good because they wouldn't be. You'd have to give them a compelling story and a damn good reason for being there, Arcann already has that.

I remember fighting no end of knights that all wanted to take me in or kill me and the only time I saw the Scions they were attacking me. I just don't see any of them being a viable alternative.

Yeah but you can't really put them on the same level as Arcann, he was a big character in the story they are all extras at best. No named crowd fillers. Why waste more resources and time bigging one of those up to somebody when you already have someone with a story and inclusion enough?

Nalen Raloch wasn't a companion and had a very short role, I could see Bengal Mor maybe as a potential companion and romance option just because he appears throughout the first three chapters. As for anyone else I haven't heard of except for Scourge. Arcann yes was a madman, mass murder and the outlanders nemesis for a while but he was redeemed (or not). But he also had a large role in the story and therefore it would be easy to see how he was chosen. Not to mention he is the only force using male in the new story. I doubt they would ever go back to the original chapters and pick someone from there.

Trooper and Bounty Hunter. I force myself to play them just for variety but I find it very hard to maintain a desire to play them for very long stretches at a time so they take forever for me to get through them.

Ahhh, okay thanks. For a minute there after seeing two threads on top about it I thought I'd missed an announcement. Thing is with Arcann being a romance option he is the first male force user companion we've had that we will be able to romance, something that has been missing for and asked for for a long time. So it's sorely needed in that respect. Where it's taking the place of any new content I just don't see it. We've had new romances and new content at the same time before.

What's with the sudden vocal disapproval of an Arcann romance? Did I miss an announcement that it's coming next week or something?

I have around that many. Packaging them all up into one box might be helpful to some but not for me, I tend to take out all the titles and activate them for the small xp, take the pets, mounts and companions and just delete the rest (all that HK rubbish). I've been doing it for so long (extreme altaholic ) I manage to get through them all in short time. Less than a minute so it doesn't really bother me either way. If you have a SH you can travel there straight from creating the toon and throw everything in storage there, no need to wait to get to Coruscant.

Why wouldn't it be? The doors are still open, the question is do you still want to keep playing and paying for no restrictions. You're still getting something for your sub.

They've tweeted a sale on game price just a few mins ago, can't see a shut down as a definite thing if they are still trying to pull in players. Promising news hopefully.

There are not many games I play and even less I have played for so long, but this one has kept me playing since just after launch. It may not be perfect (nothing is) but the stories are some of the best. More engaging than any other mmo I've played, WoW and Guild Wars mainly. Character development and character interactions are the best I've seen from anything else. Bioware games have spoilt me and no other games have been able to hold my attention because to me they lack everything that makes BW great and everything that I love to be able to do in a game. With ME taking a big hit probably never to return and Dragon Age looking a bit shakey this was the only game that I was holding on to and I would hate to see it go.

I just went through it with my Corso romanced smug and omg. That was not the Corso my character married. In fact up until the end I didn't think he even remembered they had been together. He was completely out of character and the whole finding another crew to join was just an insult.

We get complimentary cartel coins each month we sub, I think that constitutes as some form of subscription reward.

Not disagreeing with you, just saying I haven't noticed a problem with it because I haven't noticed it and I do tend to look. I hate the way the cloaks split in the middle at the back and it always draws my attention, but, I have never seen any big butts.

Sorry, threads like this usually start in my experience with a straight guy and I just assumed (totally wrong of me) and they irk me with the straight guy/girl romance ratio as it normally is. Though totally agree there needs to be more f/f, m/m romances so everyone gets a good selection.

It's so annoying with the returned companions that don't even move their lips. I was playing profit and plunder earlier and Gault wasn't even moving his lips inside of the chapter. The least they could do is get them moving their lips again when they speak.

Oh I agree with you, there are definitely some companions that would not fit, Jorgan is a prime example, my warrior didn't get on with him either. I was just saying whether they fit or not it hasn't stopped BW from doing it. Personally I wish they would have kept all companions to the original class that had them. It's the best place any of them made sense and we have way too many now most do nothing anyway.

While there are some companions that in the vanilla we could never see switch or they have explicitly stated they hate the opposite faction, have in fact done exactly that. Jorgan who is a republic soldier does work with Imperial alliance leaders. While all through vanilla he is hating on them or approving of you killing them and despising them for driving the Cathar from their homeworld. If they can do it with him I don't see it being a problem for any others. While I am glad these three returning comps are returning through alliance alerts that have been changed up it does worry me that them being class specific does rule them out of any future content, it kind of makes me wonder if they are really going to do away with any real content for companions from here on out.

Jonas Balker sends you mail during SoR and he is mentioned during Jorgan's return chapter. As much as I would love to see him and a few others, bringing them all back would make the galaxy kind of small if we keep bumping into the same people all the time. Emails and mentions are pretty good at reminding us of a few that we love without going too far.
