  1. I too am enjoying the game. I have 2 50's, a jugg and an IA op, and my BH is mid 30's. I'm loving the stories and how each character pads out what was already known by the previous. I'm enjoying switching around light side/dark side and seeing how things change. I'm not too fussed with end game yet as there is so much to do before then. But I wish the vocal complainers would stop claiming to speak for the majority because I'm sure many of us are enjoying the game as it is, and are patient for things to be fixed, and know there will always be new content in the pipeline. It seems that there are some who believe being a forum cowboy is part of the entertainment value that came with the sub.
  2. Many people multibox without daisy chaining their characters. I did it in wow all the time. Had one character up on each screen, one on follow on the other. But every single command to each character was entered by me. No software required to pass through from one to the other. So multiboxing does not automatically mean daisy chaining, and one could end up being legal (because let's face it, it's pretty hard to detect), and the other is in a much more grey area.
  3. I just put it down to whoever designed all the different types was recruited from the government civil/public service.
  4. I suppose I could get lucky and get that other amazing bug.. the one where on my kill shot my guns won't stop firing at him. At least I will feel better as I watch him get deader and deader.
  5. I'm going to tatooine as we speak to hunt down that last nefarious dirtbag. But that has nothing whatsoever to do with the issue. A bonus quest that won't depart stage left when it should have... and I can't abandon it. Since when did bonus' quests become compulsory?
  6. I know a lot of us have quests we can't abandon... but this is ridiculous. http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1524/tatooinebonusicantdrop.jpg I am aware I should have killed that one extra mob at the time... but its a bonus quest that should have gone away when it's parent was completed. To make it go away now, I have to go all the way back to Tatooine, find where ever the hell these monkeys hang out, go kill one... and then return to Alderaan to what I was doing. Give me one good reason why the reset and abandon buttons are greyed out.
  7. On my tank spec'd jugg I used a dps companion until somewhere around level 40. Then I switched to the healer just to speed things up and not have to be so careful. Plus the healer had the CC which made a big difference. At least companions don't nag you when you break their CC....
  8. Add to that, sometimes the voice/text of the story says the fight is one on one, a test of honour or whatever.. and there I go sneaking a companion into the fight too.... but I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of surviving it without the companion.
  9. I think the quest/elite on Voss you're talking about was this one. Definitely an interesting fight and overtuned if LOS bugging it wasnt the intention. Many different mobs are tagged as elites that don't seem to be, and sometimes an elite can be very tough.. like this one was. If you are always grouped for these quests then they seem really easy but solo... it can be a little harder than intended I think. To be honest the hardest ones I've found, other than that guy on Voss, was the 3 regular mob packs in Corellia.. where two of them are healers. Who thought that was a good idea....
  10. I tried to level a jedi, i really did. The early quests for the happy shiny folk were driving me insane. I wanted to play hockey with people's eyeballs by level 10. My Jedi sounded like a potato herder, my smuggler was ok until she got her first companion, then I wanted to drop kick him down the first vent shaft I came across. And if i heard "May the force be with you... " one more time ... I found myself fondly remembering the attempted murders in Koroban, the delightful betrayals, the gentle caress of the force choke from a peeved sith, and the sweet attentions of Khem trying to eat me every 5 mins. You can change the poo brown armor/architecture all you like, some of us just aren't cut out for the light side...... I even tried going dark side jedi but there wasn't a "hockey with eyeballs" option nearly enough.
  11. http://tor-talk.com/exclusive-interview/ There's a hint there about the legacy levels. Nothing specific but I like the sound of it.
  12. I loved tatooine. Open, I could go anywhere, could avoid getting dismounted most of the time, it felt warm and cozy. The one I hated was Hoth. I felt cold just seeing it, and the maps blew up for me and I couldn't find anything. The rest of the worlds were fine, just Hoth... don't like Hoth. I love the music there, but Hoth can go play with a black hole as far as I'm concerned.
  13. The whine fest in here because you might have to level in a game to achieve something you want.... Personally, I'm not sure what I'll do, but the level 10 nonsense is a non issue. Im deciding between level 14 for sprint or 25 for the mount and Nar Shadaa. Or do you think BW should give you those for free too? Would you like a pony with that too?
  14. I'm annoyed I can't kill him. But I'm also a little peeved at how sloppy that story played out. If they couldn't give it teeth then I think they should have removed it and done something else. If I can't go all Sith on his butt, then I think I'll gear up the droid and use him and park the smug little git. At least that might stop the droid from repainting my ship over and over...
  15. Thats the part I can't figure out how to do. I can expand it just fine if there is a green marker to click on. But even then, if the marker is going indoors, you only see the inside of the base in the expanded map. I can't figure out how to expand any given zone from that world map. It must be possible, I mean who would make a map that couldn't do that... but.. I can't figure out how to do it. I've never had 9 quests disappear like this before, normally its only one or two and they turn up in the process of doing other quests. Thanks for your help... I guess I just have to go to each zone and take a look and see until I figure out how to see from the map.
  16. No the green arrow only has that one quest. There is only the one mission I have showing up in that zone map. I have to do more of the other non-class chains before I go over there, or I expect I will only have to go back again. Yes that two doors in or out has had me going in circles on occasion too. I think the problem is, that these quests are in another zone, but the flight point arrows are all the normal yellow. I went to another zone (picked at random) via the flight point I have there and once I had landed, and there was a mark showing up on the map. So I guess what's not happening is the flight point markers changing color to indicate a zone change is required. Is there a way to display a zone map for a different zone to the one you're in? I mean, i can see how to do it if you have a marker there, but what, as in this case, you don't? None of the missing quests go through a doorway so there's no green arrow in the zone I need to expand.
  17. Yeah, that is the one mark I have,... but I'm not ready to go do that yet, its my last class quest for this planet. Nothing appears on the world map at all except bases I've discovered and green arrows directing me through doorways. But like now, I have only one green mark so the other quest areas must not be through a doorway. If I go inside a base, then I see a green arrow pointing me outside again to all the quests I can't otherwise see. But as soon as I exit the building, any marks for those quests disappears again. Those little radar type marks I can only see on my minimap and arent really a lot of help until I get within range of them... They're not on the map until then. The zone map will update with the marks after I've tripped over the mobs. At which point its reasonable to think I don't need the map any more because I found them. There has to be a way to make this map flat... so that more things can show up at once.
  18. Is there any way to flatten the maps so that terrain altitude doesn't affect the display?
  19. So nothing helpful to add, just abuse... thanks.
  20. They are all tracked. Every single one of them has that option turned on. And I have 10 quests being tracked... and only one mark on the map. These maps are just so frustrating.
  21. Why did anyone even bother putting maps in the game. It was fine for the first couple of planets but since then so much stuff just doesn't appear on them. Apparently as i levelled my character lost the ability to write stuff down as he discovered it. And any time a terrain altitude change is involved it totally disappears off the maps. I have a half dozen quests right now and only one of them shows any kind of marker on the map. What are you supposed to do to make the maps actually work... ?? Is there something I missed? Even stuff I've discovered and been inside of, doesn't appear on the map ever again. What setting makes the maps work?
