  1. There are probably others that I do on all toons, but these are the ones that immediately spring to mind. - Take Gault to Taris and Alderaan (BH. The snark, oh, the snark!). - Slap a customization 2 on Corso asap (Smuggler. Sorry Riggs, but your default is fugly). - Punch Saresh (Even my sickeningly light sided consular sucked up those DS points). - Save Torian (Yep, even my warriors saved Torian. It's the voice... ).
  2. Might be a stupid question, but have you finished KotFE? You need to do the whoooole "Kinghts of the..." thing in order to get the alerts to pop.
  3. Wow, that's a wall of text there... For the older flashpoints, Vet tuning is just fine. Even with the newer ones, I've even "tanked" Umbara with a lvl 16 Theron set to tank (the irony right there...). Maybe you just got a really bad group, it happens. Manaan can be a pain in the arse because you might just have to *GASP* watch for mechanics. Yes, that second boss, even on Vet mode; standing in Bad is Bad if you have no tank. If you have 2x70's there and they have no clue, then ask if they are boosted. Chances are they are new to the game and we should be thankful that TLJ are bringing them here and shouldn't be raging about one bad FP. Explain the tactics, or point them to Dulfy.net instead of throwing a tantrum. Seriously, though... they don't need nerfing. Sorry.
  4. To delete your credit cards permanently, log into your account on the website and go to My SWTOR. On the left side, click on Subscription, then 'Change billing method'. This will open up a new page that shows all cards that you've used to pay for cartel coins and/or subscriptions. Click on the little X next to any cards that you want to delete. Bear in mind, that this may also cancel any subs you currently have. If you have a sub and you've used the same card to buy coins, but you want to continue with your sub, you can turn off the in-game purchasing by selecting Cartel Coins (again, it's in My SWTOR here on the website.) and the click the button labelled 'Change payment method'. You can then click on the radio button marked 'I do not wish to enable in-game purchases'.

    CC

The merc CC is called Concussion Missile. It's learned around lvl 22.
  6. Here's another one: http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/ia15m
  7. What's your gear level? If you're below the threshold for Crisis on Umbara and/or Traitor Among the Chiss you won't be able to queue for anything if they are ticked on the Master FP list. No error, no message; just can't queue. You need 242, if I recall correctly.
  8. So, it's rakghoul stomping time and I decide to get into the festive spirit of things and crack some skulls. I click open my shiny new Activitiy Window and click on the Event: Rakghoul Resurgence. I am delighted to be transported right into the heart of the Rakghoul Tunnels and I rub my hands together with glee at the thought of the carnage to come. I appear right in the heart of the Republic base, ready to leap into action to cleanse the galaxy of the foul rakghoul infestation and so on. Slight problem being, I'm a Sith. Yeh, that did not go down too well with the guards. Many Ows! So, in short, it's a bit of a "wait, what? oh.. kriffing hells!" moment if you don't check to see where you are before running off to pick up the missions, so can the Imp's 'port to the Imp area, pretty please?
  9. As a healer I get that people click the Kolto's, they're used to doing it as soon as they break a nail. It happens, and it always will if only because most people don't trust the roles that the vet group finder throws up simply because a lot of people don't know how / can't be bothered to change their default role when queuing. Having said that, the thing that really pees me off... I'm a healer, I queued as a healer, I am lvl70 and geared as a healer, I have been healing your arse through bosses and trash, you're still tapping kolto's, fine, whatever.... But if a party member drops at the last boss... don't summon your goddam comp to fill a role AND KEEP IT ON HEALING MODE! *chews table in frustration*
  10. Keltas Gurn in the Cartel Bazaar section of the fleet sells most of the Imp companion customisations. He's in the shipping container to the right of the appearance designer. She's listed as Ensign Temple.
  11. My lvl 70 vanguard got vote-kicked at the very start of a FP by a guild group, didn't even pull anything. Reason - "Girl toons can't tank"
  12. I either try to hover around Dark Side 1, for the eyes, or turn it off altogether. To me, it looks like my char needs a damn good wash if I hit DS2 or more. I would love for more sithy-colored eye options to be available.
  13. Happening to me on my max level mercs too. I have to redo my utilities every time I log one in. Having messed around with different utilities and relogging, I tend to agree with Mubrak (back on page 2). It does seem to be tied to Trauma Regulators. If I pick that talent, my utilities get reset every time; if I don't, there's not a problem.
  14. He was level 50, which definitely helped. And it wasn't really confidence, it was more like; "if we wipe, we wipe, but at least I'd have helped you see the fights and have some idea of what to do next time". Hence my complete astonishment when we dropped them on the second try. Maybe this just proves that Blood Hunt isn't a DPS/HPS/Tank check, it's a Spacial Awareness check.
  15. So here's me, bored late one night and I queue for a few things. Got a tactical fp pop and I see a lvl70 sorc as a healer, a lvl40 mara and a lvl38 sniper in the list (i'm on my lvl70 hunter). Ok, not so bad. There's a healer and I've got pretty decent gear. I can carry lower levels if I need to as long as we don't get Manaan (for the timed last boss) or Blood Hunt (I'm looking at you, Jos and Valk!). We've all clicked accept and we zone into.... ...Blood Hunt. Lovely. Our Sorc healer immediately pipes up with "I hope we've all done this before." To which, our sniper answers: "Actually, this is my first time here, I'd appreciate a quick rundown of the tactics." The mara then feels brave enough to also admit that it's their first time in the FP too and they would also like some pointers. The sorc just responds with "LOL!! Here's tactics: do solo mode!" and then *finger quotes* disconnects */finger quotes*. /le sigh I bust out Torian, stick him in healing stance and decide to be honest with them: we can give it a try, but we probably won't get very far, given that they are both mid-level and neither have done this FP before. But at the very least, they will get to see Jos and Valk. We get the first boss down with few problems and clear out two of the pre-arena mini bosses. I make sure they understand the layout of the room and where they will need to try to stay before we clear the lass pre-arena boss and have the PITA couple spawn. We clear the last mini-boss and I explain the tactics and abilities of that wonderful couple. To no surprise, we wiped on the first try with Jos and Valk. The knockback strength was underestimated and Torian got stuck looking pretty at the side of the arena and spent 4 minutes doing Sweet FA before he also took a lava bath! But we managed to get to the last phase. Round two: A quick recap of tactics, I clarified a few points and we went again... And killed them. We actually freakin' killed them! Jos. And Valk. I killed Jos and Valk with a lvl38 and a lvl40 and a comp healer. We also managed to drop Shae on the first try too. I know she's pretty much cake after the horror-couple from the bowels of Corellian hell, but her AoE and her game of "half the floor is lava" can catch you out if you don't expect it. But these guys made it. *sheds a small tear* I am so proud of them! TL: DR So what's the weird thing here? I got an elitist snob who decided to bail rather than give two players who were new to a FP a chance - not weird. I got not one, but two players who were brave enough to say "I'm new to this FP, please help" - WEIRD! I got two, mid level, new-to-the-FP players who listened to tactics and executed them flawlessly on the second try... in BLOOD HUNT! That's mind-blowingly weird.
  16. During patch 5.0.1 I, like many others, got the ability to recruit Shae Vizla and Master Ranos via alliance alert/holocom. On my hunter, I chose to complete the alliance alerts and all was good. Destroyed the holocoms as I didn't need them. I preferred to put both of them in something a little different as I didn't want to have my comps running around in the same armour as everyone else. Shoved a few unwanted gifts at Vizla and got her to inf. level 10. Everything is so far - so good. Then Patch 5.1 hits and takes away the ability to customise Vizla's appearance. I get the stuff she was wearing back in my inventory, but I lose the ability to summon both her and Master Ranos as comps. Neither of them are in their usual spot in the Odessen base. However, this patch also added Ranos to the Companion Unlock Terminal, so I could at least regain her and have her standing around doing nothing in the Force Enclave. Patch 5.2.2 hits and we get to customise the appearance of Shae Vizla once more. I get all her equipped gear in my inventory (again!) and a new holocom to summon her with. 'Great', I think to myself, 'I can finally get her back.' 'Nay,' sayeth the holocomm. 'You have already completed this alliance alert!' DANG IT! I try the Companion Unlock Terminal on the off chance that's she's on there, but no. She's not. So there it is. Shae Vizla is refusing to be summoned and is sulking down in "Other Contacts". I've re-run chapters in all three dificulty modes to see if she reappears and also repaired the game. But no, she's not playing ball. Oddly enough, this has only happened on my Bounty Hunter. All other classes are just fine. What, is she jealous or something? Screenshot of the Companions and Contacts window: http://imgur.com/a/q1CqF
  17. Had a great one today. Queued for a few things, tactical FP pops, hey-ho, it's something to do so I accept. There's me (lvl70 merc), a lvl 70 DPS jugg, a level 30ish mara and a mid to high 30's sorc. Zoned into Mando Raiders, two max levels, two mid-range levels - easy tactical flashpoint. What could go wrong? Jugg immediatly starts bellyaching about having no tank or healer, and horror of horrors, two people he needed to carry. He died at that infamous pull in the corridor. B**ched about having no healer again while lying on the floor masquerading as a rug. Me and the two people he was "carrying" killed everything and scraped him off the floor. He died again at the pull before the first boss. When we finally get to the first boss, he came out with the following: "So this is just a tank 'n' spank" right?" aaaannnnd pulled. I just let him get on with it with the boss, killed off the dogs, battle rezzed him near to the end, then killed the boss myself after he died - again. The poor two lower level guys also bought it at some point during that fight, but they did do their best - attacking the same target, using kolto and so on. At least they knew what to do, unlike Mr Carry, who appeared to think we were gifted Kryptonite Stations instead of Kolto Stations and didn't click on one ever. Right, so, first boss done and I politely enquire if it's Mr Carry's first time in this flashpoint. He answers to the affirmative and declares that it's his first fp ever, he just got the game and used a boost. Oh joy! We carry on and he pulls the droid that can be skipped. He pulls both of the droids on the bridge at the same time! I am losing patience at this point and type in chat "Yo, Captain Clueless - we have two people below lvl 40 here, watch your pulling especially when stuff can be skipped." That went down as well as could be expected, but I was beyond caring at that point. We make it to the Boarding Party, eventually, which was instantly declared a "stupid fight from stupid devs. How can we fight four of them at once?" "Um, they're, like, only elite, and kinda easy." That was from one of the lvl 30(ish) guys. Cue another rant about stupid boss fights and stupid devs and stupid this and stupid that. I tuned it out while my sanity booked a one-way ticket to Crazy Town. Amazingly, no one died and we managed to get to the last boss. "This is another tank'n'spank, who's pulling?" Progress, at least. Now he's asking who's going to tank the boss. To which I replied that I would pull and he would kill the turrets. Only. Just them. Kill. The. Turrets. JUST. The turrets. His reply? "Do you have a taunt? You can't tank a boss without a taunt. Do you want me to do it?" "No. No! I can manage, really. It's just a tactical, it's fine, really. Just kill the turrets. Turrets." It was at this point I wished I'd given my sanity a packed lunch for the train ride. He did actually manage to focus on the turrets and we killed off the boss with no party deaths. I thanked everyone and left the group feeling a little like this. ---- Second one was a week or so ago. I'm on my lvl 70 sorc and again hit a random tactical fp. I can't even remember which one it was but we had a very low level sorc who'd queued as a healer. I notice he's casting without holding a lightsaber. No biggie, sometimes my graphics bug and I show the stance for holding a saber, but it doesn't show. Second pull, same. Third pull, same again. This goes on for all the trash. We get to the first boss and I garner up the courage to inspect him. No saber equiped. Not a big deal, I think to myself, we're on an RP server, maybe he forgot to re-equip it after some RP. I whisper him something along the lines of "Dude, you forgot to equip your saber." Reply: "I don't have one. I don't need it." Me: *Blinks* "You need a saber, you're a sith. RP aside, there's stats and stuff." Healer "I don't need one, I don't have any melee skills." Me: "But seriously, you really do need to have one for the extra stats they give." Healer: "Palpatine never had one, I am a sorcerer, I don't need to have one either." Me: "..." *Backs away slowly* "Hellooooo Kolto Stations...." -----------
  18. False Emperor popped with two Lightening Sorcs (me, lvl 65 and a level 50-something) and two Assassin tanks (another lvl 65 and a very low level), but hey, tactical bolster, so low levels are no biggie. One of the tanks fussed for about 5 minutes about who was going to heal before we managed to convince him that it was just a tactical and the Sorcs could off-heal on the trash and the kolto stations were fine for the bosses. So, two tanks and two DPS, you would expect two Guards to be on the DPS, right? Oh, but no, the tanks guarded eachother, because "it's a 5% damage reduction and we have no healer". I /facepalmed so hard, I think I gave myself a concussion.
