Did anyone ever get their new companion Nico Okar?
BrintoSFJ replied to Petrockss's topic in General Discussion
Majority of SWTOR players' common behavioral pattern : - They never read ... 1. class description on character creation, thus no idea which stat their class start with 2. stats on gear thus ignorant of stats for class and companion 3. map details, thus ignorant of simple thing like filtering, location of certain landmarks like GTN 4. any and all kind of informative texts in game that would allow them to play the game better. 5. even the promotion that gives them extra fluffs... and lot lot more...... -
Wrong, totally wrong. Before WoW came people used to do PvP for "real" rewards, like in UO killing a player would allow the killer to loot the dead player dry, in DAOC after RvR win reward for the winning realm was outrageous, games like asheron's call, everquest all had great reward for killing players. If you wanted to say "swtor PvP rewards player enough", i would have agreed but not this, i don't know if you are trying to lie to defend swtor(which was no necessary but knowing you....) or just plain trolling....

Eric, myy gripe is not the lack of info, what i don't like is that there is not enough advertising for the expansion. For example you could advertise it on mmorpg.com, they only do obligatory swtor news or interview when you guys pop out in some expo or something. You could have set up an "Exclusive interview with mmorpg.com" and there you could just talk about usual stuff that you had already said and add some hype message like : "companions will see an overhaul and bla bla...". I just don't get you guys and your lack of advertising... -
What will be my incentive to keep subscription after KoTFE?

You know some guy who believes someone's hobby is actually an addiction. -

He means : "My hobby is superior to your hobby, so i am superior to you." -

He i snot saying he doesn't want to unsub, he is saying he will enjoy his sub more if there was a certain game mechanic like "mentoring" where he could mentor new/low level players and that sort. It will also bring a new aspect to social feature of the game. -

But there is no unlock for game eating mission reward or fp loot(not permanent anyways) and also you won't be able to donate in your guild bank and so on. And also "mentoring" have been suggested since the beta phase of game and i can assure you EAWare Austin will not be adding such feature. -
Learn to read inside before flipping, your oblivious response puts the rest of the community to shame.

In windows 10 microsoft forums one of the community managers wrote to follow the 3 steps below :- 1. uninstall nvidia driver completely, restart pc. 2. let windows default driver detect your graphics card upon start, after it is done restart again. 3. when windows start again install the nvidia driver again. restart. hopefully this time it will work.

BrintoSFJ replied to CKNORTH's topic in General Discussion
Umm..incentive to sub..umm...the game will eat some of your mission rewards if you don't subscribe? Game will eat your fp loot if you don't subscribe? game will eat your quickbars if you don't subscribe? And there are much more where those come from. If you want to take a break, go ahead and when you return subscribe for a month, that is the best suggestion i can provide. -
I don't think EAWare Austin is willing to pay Apple the ransom they demand for allowing developers to use their carnel code to make games mac playable. It is not really worth it...

It is called : "Being a Proper SWTOR Player". Someone suggested that classic flashpoints should be made tactical, i agreed with him and the amount of **** that was thrown at us was marvelous. Now EAWare Austin says they are doing it and everybody loves it. They are just being a proper swtor player, eating up everything thrown at them like good children. But on the plus side, i am very happy that so many of the things i wanted is now getting implemented.

Your metaphor is totally wrong, the topic is wrong, the meaning is wrong, the intention is wrong. Having a 64 bit version of client is not going to drive away people who plays in 32bit because they will still be able to play with 32 bit launcher, if there is any gamer in this time who still use 32 bit OS that is. If anything, having 64 bit and at least DX11 version will increase the number of players, since then the game will be supportive of hardware that came after 2012. And add 4 core support to the list and EAWare Austin opens door to even more players. But of course validity of my post is dependent on the understanding capacity of the person who is reading it.

What the hell are you doing??? Do you not know logical explanation is prohibited in this forums??

1st of all, it is about time we should all stop bashing eric. He is the representative of the devs to the community , he doesn't develop the game. 2nd, it seems devs again took it upon themselves to fix player incompetency by removing main stat. Considering this is a SW game i think it is a good idea, more than 95% of player base don't go beyond the words Star Wars, don't even bother reading the character creation screen to find out which class use which main stats, thus we see JK/SW with willpower in 60 HM and vice-verse. This change is a good move for this game. 3rd, if people are still cranky about removal of abysmal D&D Version 1 based skill tree, they need to stop using computer or any kind of tech equipment since they love to live in the past. the old skill tree was a disaster and it needed to go. I am not going to go into details why it was a disaster, i did it several times but you people seems not to care and continue with your bs...

I don't think we should presume to know the extent of the power "The Emperor" posses. Millennia ago he was a mere mortal, an emperor who ruled a world but once he completed the dark side ritual sacrificing all life in that planet to gain power; he was no longer just a person, he became a dark side entity that will live as long as dark side lives, he will have as many faces as the universe can produce. It is not impossible for him to control another person in another galaxy, such is this entity's power.

Yes it is Modified Alpha Version of Hero Engine at core, you can't change fact no matter how much you scream. If you had any idea how hero engine works on client and server side, you would see much clearly that SWTOR uses several feature of hero engine without any kind of modification. And yes they can totally change the engine anytime they want, if they wanted to. If a failed game like Wildstar can completely change up their engine to minimize ability lag/ability to server response time then SWTOR can too. And not to mention ESO also completely discarded Hero Engine after the beta test and used their on engine(same used for Skyrim) to launch the game. Comparing swtor makes 1000 times more money than Wildstar it should have happened at least a year ago. -

You should be asking why they are not upgrading their engine to current Hero 2 engine. Latest update of Hero 2 works with all kind of modern tech like DX 12 and Mantle, not to mention that 64 bit since the launch of their 1st commercial version, SWTOR using a modified Alpha version of Hero Engine and there lies a lot of problems that can never be fixed unless engine upgrade.
