In my opinion companions should never have been a part of PvP, as soon as players would engage in PvP companions should have disappeared or just stood like a statue doing nothing. the very definition of PvP : Player versus Player, means it is a competition among players, npc companions should never have any part in it. Well it is still not too late to make that change.

As usual your arguments come with lots of fallacy, if we are talking about Apple, Apple never ever asks their customer to pre order anything without giving them specification of what they are getting, Apple has always been very open when it came to releasing their product specification for pre order. I do not personally buy any of the Apple product simply because they are way overpriced and i have far better alternative for half the price but i always admired as to how forthcoming Apple always been when they reveal a product and start their pre order campaign. you can not say the same for fallen empire dlc and comparing the two is nonsense. This one is another false statement, the only company which are tight lipped about their upcoming content or game change are SOE and they paid heavy price for it, even company like Turbine were very open months before making lotro completely solo and other companies always communicate with players through forums month after month until release. Lucky for EAWare Austin some people are leaking info all over internet and i like those info so i am still subscribed.

That is not open beta, that is early access. Open beta means : game is still not completely finished with tweaking bugs and mechanics, there are bugs in game but since it is "beta" just forget about it and move on. Early access means : game is finished and people who were kind enough to pre order(or in our case paid for 4 months of sub beforehand) will be able to play before others who did not and if there are bugs that stop game play enjoyment, burn the devs for unfinished crap dumped on us. Don't lump these two together.

Companions will play major role in story, their upcoming change to fulfill all roles, power based on player level/stats and influence will make them even more important. you are unhappy that you can no longer put augment on your companion, i get it but that doesn't mean companions are minor now, in fact they are bigger than they were before.

There is at least 1 other f2p game in western market that i know of that let's you feed your pets a large amount of gears to level them up. And yes once a pet dies you have to level it up from 0 again. Search google you will find that ****** game soon enough. mastery in WoW is totally different, it is a different stats from the main stats, It was a special booster to the secondary stats of a role for example boost to dodge and block rating for tanks or boost to hit and crit rating for dps. It is just general idea for some classes mastery did not boost characters but their pets like demonology warlocks or beast master hunters. As for the topic on companion system change, i am so glad they are changing it up, now i can run around with my kira or elara wherever i go without worrying about gearing them to the latest rating. And also i can put skimpy costume on them without have to worrying about cost of mods .

Why do you have to stay true to your name and be a killjoy? And why things either have to be good or bad? why can things just not be "acceptable"? Companion gearing was a hassle which with every content release became more and more annoying. No doubt the new system will come with it's own annoyance but at least it will be less minimaxing with each companion. That right there is a good thing but we still don't know the bad ones so as of the current info we have the new system is "acceptable".

Overall i am happy with the info "I" got from the live stream. What i did not like was bachhus being a total jerk letting civilians die, then let lana kill the knight but then trying to save her for his ...umm..well never mind. More power to his dark sided desires i guess but "I" believe they could have shown us light side choices so that we could feel like we made a difference saving the people.

Just having voss in current story line will just be lame, if they do add voss i hope they create a completely different story line and completely new class unique to them. And not only voss but also gormak should be added to the storyline. Let's say, sal makor has become a huge threat and voss decides to ally with gormak and take on sal makor in a new storyline, players get to play level 50 voss or gormak with their own class : dream walker and commando. It will take place in an instanced nightmare land and during the story line players will get 5 companions to join them, story will take them 50-55 and will provide choice to join either pub or imp and at the end of it will reward a spaceship. And so on...

I can totally see it : Ewok companion traveling with Sith Hero. Looks at a mission giver nearby and Ewok companion says ; " Hey sith go get the mission for me, i want some xp", SIth hero : "Yes companion, right away". Completes the mission and selecting reward. Ewok companion : "man this gear looks awesome, i am taking it", SIth hero : "Of course companion, as you wish." Sith trying to get things done with jaessa and Ewok companion comes : "Dude you are *********** here? Get your *** up we need to go kill the false emperor!!", Sith hero says in return "of course companion, just give me 2 minutes!!". Yep i can totally see it.

What swtor copying from is LoTRO, they have been doing it since f2p conversion, started with extreme f2p restriction, treating a former subscriber same as a person who spend only 5$, going full focus on solo mode and less focus on group content/reskinning old group content to max level, taking away access to content that someone already paid for if they stop subscription; for example paying for hutt or revan dlc but not being able to do ops or accept mission reward that came with them and so on. Despite all the hype regarding new sw movie which EAWare Austin will try to use as their own advertisement no doubt, what i see in near future is the same stage where LoTRO is now, a dead game which only is alive because of movie fans and whales.

So basically by "showing you gameplay" you mean we will be treated like the way we were treated with "gameplay trailer" where by "gameplay" you guys meant cut scene, right? I mean you guys disappointed with the gamescom "gameplay" trailer, do you expect me to believe that this time we will be shown actual "gameplay"? Eric, i know this is not your fault but maybe..maybe you could talk to the PR chief face to face(considering how you 'are' the twins from cinematic trailer, i am sure you have some credibility) and tell him/her to allow the dev team and community team show some actual stuff that is being worked on? it doesn't have to be finished, it doesn't even have to be 4.0 release content, at least show us some thing you are working on to let us know that in the future we will get something good.
