Seeing as how your approach was moronic and incorrect, I'd be inclined to agree. Anyway, thanks for the replies, guys. I was hoping someone might have some 1 vs. 1 pointers against assassins.. but the consensus seems to be that we should just avoid them. Fair enough.

Unfortunately this isn't the case. On my server, playing empire side, I'd say it's a 50/50 split between people who say "left" based on spawn orientation, and those who say it based on map directions. Of the people who say it based on spawn, about 10 percent say it backwards because they have republic mains. Regardless, 100% of them are *********** idiots. Here's a common scenario in civil war: Idiot: INC LEFT Idiot team: *Half go east, other half go west, mid left undefended if I'm not there* Me: *leave warzone* Judging by the amount of stupid replies in this thread, people here lose alot of warzones.

Being limited to 35 meters, having no hiding methods, lobbing grenades, firing from a standing position while running, taking 6+ shots to kill a target, etc. etc. etc..... those are all within the definition of "sniper" though right?

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I can't say they're very encouraging but at least I'll know not to chase down assassins thinking I can slaughter them like sorcerers.

I wanna pew pew everyone's head off just as much as the next sniper but making myself useless against multiple classes doesn't seem like a good trade off. As useful as your reply was, you also didn't highlight why MM would be any better against an assassin than lethality.

I'm currently in full champion gear except for BM implants, ear, weapon and bracers. Specced lethality to be less useless against armor. I don't have much of a problem with most classes but assassins are making me look like I just hit 50 in lvl 40 greens. I'm finding that I can't even get a champion geared assassin down to half hp before I get shredded. Do they have some secret mechanic that makes them immune to sniper damage that I don't know about or have I just been getting really unlucky this whole time? Any pointers would be appreciated. I'm tired of having to completely avoid assassins and shadows every time I see one.

Correction: Escape - We have no escape. Somehow they thought it was more fitting for the marauding barbarian class to be able to vanish into thin air. nvm.. didn't realize we were talking about that stupid stun escape that every class has -_-
