This is a problem for everyone who got tired of the quest progression system from other MMO's. I have the same issue.. And for me also, after getting to tatooine, I started pressing spacebar bcoz it is almost just as boring as to read that the guy is being attacked by horrible things who are just standing in a field where they always are. Everyone who came from other MMO's and have grown tired of the quest system already I would like to advice going back to either WoW, or move along.. You will have to wait for Guild Wars 2 which will be released later this year.

Or those that were forced to buy a gametimecard to play the game to have more influence over their own finances.

I know the armor is FUGLY, but I haven't reached end-game yet, but wouldn't it be possible to remod the trooper armor? or is it class specific/or does it have already a primary stat in there?

I was talking about vanilla WoW, I stopped right before Wrath of the Lich King. So the teleport and requeue thing was not what I compared it to. I also stated that I like the way they did Esseles and Black Talon, but any other flashpoint they did afterwords doesnt offer the choice, and story is very vague.. It's like they merely did it to make a good first impression and then went te road of: ok, back to how we were going to do it right form the start.

The problem is that they did not do any innovations. Like I stated earlier, before I said my opinion, the problem is that if you actually took the time to read all the quest texts, this game will offer no different feeling. They merely voiced it and I just can't notice anything else they did different than other MMO's. Sure it is an innovation in itself, but it's not enough for the most of us. at least not for me. I already quit WoW 5 years ago, maybe it's longer coz time sure flies by. And some stories are interesting, but try going through every planet with an alt just becoz you want to experience a different story, and you will notice the same things I have. A game needs innovation to be good, SWTOR just didn't do enough. Flashpoints are just dungeons. If they did it the ame way they did with the Esseles and Black Talon then it would've been different. but the other flashpoints just don't have the story feeling in there. It just feels you going down a path and kill someone you never even heard off, and you do it again bcoz of the loot, not bcoz you really want to do it again. And now I am stating facts, not my opinion.. Like I said, I hate WoW, and the more I read the forums about bugs, and the customer support, my hatred is coming as well..

are those 2 really the only ones you can think of? They both have quests that say: go kill, go gather go talk to. The crafting takes as much time but doesn't payoff as much as it should do. They are similar games in gameplay, at the moment WoW is better, so I suggest coming back in a year untill then, WoW is better.

I bought a gamecard and was thinking of quitting as soon as I had to even buy one to even play the game, even though you had 30 days free.. even FCKN WoW wasn't so greedy. Blizzard made it an option so you merely had to buy a gamecard to continue AFTER the first month free. Bioware screwed it up at that moment already for a lot of players. (saying you can also pay with paypal or creditcard is not an answer - I got that answer from customer service) I got myself a gamecard anyhow as you can see. However, my trust in them has reached rockbottem. - Patching during Europe daytime - bad customer service - too many bugs which makes you feel like you payed for something so incomplete it makes you think about quitting everytime (I even had this problem with Skyrim) - So many problems commonly known in MMO's are no adjusted (You attack mobs in front chest, someone else takes the chest before you (same with crafting nodes) Or people needing to spam to look for a healer / tank. Star Wars WAS the only thing that made me consider it, as soon as my 2 months are up, I am gone. And seeing as there is another MMO coming up that doesn't have a release date bcoz of the rushed stuff this game has, I think I will be playing that one instead. GW2 looks promising

They say that about every issue. + they again are deploying a patch while it's daytime in Europe.. so yeh, why wouldn't there be ragers?

Better you than me.. after what they are pulling off now. Taking away another day to play becoz of another patch. Yesterday I couldn't play, and now I won't get to play as well coz they always have to patch the game when it is in the middle of the FCKN day here.

They only do that when the game is at least one or 2 years old lol. and even so, they do it when the game doesn't offer anything new anymore.. but, wait! It already didn't lol XD It's just like WoW, but then with conversations. If that truely is the only innovation you can do.. Then yeh, make the offer

I do it with game cards, so I will never have this problem. I am planning on quitting as soon as my playtime is over anyway. The customer service is just... BAD

First of all.. the gearscore was something the community did to themselves. and seeing as all armor here has a rating, I'm thinking it is coming here as well hahahaha XD and then the second, This is a WoW copy. the only difference is companions and voiced stories which allows you to get in the game deeper.. but that is about it.. 1. the quests overall are just go kill, go gather, go talk. 2. the crafting overall takes as much time as it does there bcoz of the timers on each. (half an hour gather mission for grade 5. 3. gear is done via commendations the same way it is reputation gear in WoW. only the gear here is much easier to get. 4. combat is not very dynamic if all that happens as a difference is some random droid comes from the sky and starts a ring of fire (which can be spammed) it is so much the same it is laughable, but don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with SW:TOR. people just need to shut up about the game being different.. bcoz it is not that different. it's different, just not that different.

you can buy them from the galactic trade market, or finding them with slicing.

I had this too the first time, but don't worry, you just have to start the game and when you get to the server selection all you have to do is alt+tab. you should have a pop-up there for you asking for the game to allow acces through your firewall.

I don't know about you people, but I am switching over to GW2 as soon as it's released. I even get the feeling they don't give a **** about this whole thread

It's not free for those that want to do it with gamecards.. I just wonder how everyone can not see that if you are a game time card user, you are paying up front and by that, charged immediatly. and I don't have paypal and since I know of many issues regarding it, I am not even thinking of getting it. so for people like me, and I know there are a lot like me, this is unfair. just make the option "I'll pay with game-time cards" and this issue is fixed for everyone.

so... by RE'ing using armormech you immediatly get better gear than the last one? you have just proven that Synchweaving is utterly insignificant.. If you reverse engineer something with that, you just get 1 to 3 totally random materials which cannot even be used for new armor without grinding at least 4 times the mats or sending ur companion on a gathering mission and hope he or she gets the right materials.. and whats more the gear you can craft is not even that great in comparison to quest rewards.. I put so much effort in raising my skill level.. And they really need to do something about the schematics you find for the other crafting skill, or the other faction.. coz that is the MOST useless thing ever.. it would've made things better if they let you send mails to your alts of the opposite faction. ofc I know reasons for not allowing it, but not everyone is RP.. I for instance play MMO's coz I want to play with my friends and like to keep in contact with them. so it would've helped if I could add their characters from the other faction to my friendlist. but back to topic: Synchweaving is turning more useless the longer you have it..

ever tried buying blue mods/armoring/enhancements using those commendations you otherwise never use? coz I did.. from a blue one to an orange, increased my armor by 70+ (more, but I don't want to exaggerate since I don't know the exact amount) Yes, I am a tank, but this proves your issue, is either wrong, or just with light armor.

have you tried reporting the player for ninja? because I thought you could report people for that..
