  1. Don't have SoS yet and not sure where to fit it in to what I'm doing, but I open with Explosive Probe and then the 2.5 Ambush->Instant Snipe->FT>Grenade (Shiv if they're close)->Takedown. The burst from when that Ambush hits to the grenade landing is usually enough to get them from 100 to under 30/20 percent. If they see me I might stun them to get my rotation in, if they're a target worth my time. If they're worth my time and I didn't have to stun to open, I'll stun them for a big finish. Usually my targets don't care about me til I open on them, then they care. I will say this, you only have to global a guy once or twice before you become their entire new hobby the rest of the match and sometimes several matches after.
  2. Eh, maybe. PvP isn't for everyone.
  3. Let it revert to current server only. Becomes something special at that point. Something people might log in for specifically. Let's hype be built around and leading up to it.
  4. The gear would be aesthetic only (same stats as your char already has)....just a visual trophy if you will. The poster above you may be right, though. This engine might be too fail for W vs. W PvP. I don't know.
  5. Borrow liberally from GW2 and Aion. -Ilum should be a world fought over between servers over 48 hours once every two weeks -with a 100 person limit per server. -5 locations with 1 pt per hour location held (majority of the hour holds the point) with a 4 pt bonus for rolling a location. -Random roaming spawns out in the world during the 48 hours offer 2 pts -4 servers should compete in 2 teams. -Winner obtains some (insert random lore item here) that allows access to a select dungeon and a customized single armor slot item (with the same stats as their best item for that slot). Before you do this, fix the lag. -Tie in the PvP space combat on the table when you make it available (destroy Capital ships for pts, pts for so many player kills, blah blah blah) You're welcome, or more precisely, you can thank Aion and GW2.

    I'm a bad

Greatest post I've read in the PvP sub forum to date.
  7. Here's the reality: Capturing is the hard part. What does that mean for you? It means that 2-3 stealthed ranged people could chain interrupt 8 people trying to roll a target while the remaining 5 roll the other 2 turrets, after which your main force gets to tie up their main force, and the stealthers can then move to hold other turrets. Smart stealth and ranged win Alderran, whether they're harrassing the center (easiest to harrass btw), guarding or jumping non-stealthed off center and quick rolling a point. Same really goes for Voidstar. Huttball is a different beast.
  8. PvP is my complete focus as it has been for well over a decade or two (I always considered Combat for the Atari 2600 original PvP in video games, but I suppose it's Pong). Love this game! As Glory said, subbed with no regrets.
  9. While there is some degree of expected angst with the uncertainty surrounding the bags, it should be noted that the most likely reason you enjoy the lowbie bracket lies in your competition. In the 50s bracket lie most of the talented and organized PvPers. Someone in PvP, by it's very nature, has to win and someone has to lose. If you are talent-challenged it becomes more of a necessity that you find either a level/ability advantage or lower skill/organization opponants that you have a chance to defeat. I'm happy you found your solution.
  10. Rotations speak not of preparation for PvP, but more of a rigidity and inability to react often encountered in PvE Heroes stepping into the PvP world. Usually following their foray into PvP, there ensues a series of posts screaming imbalance of some kind. An indelicate turn of phrase, that seems to nicely summarize this vexing situation is 'baddie bad.'
  11. Bear with me here: There was once a game with multiple servers, and on some servers the good guys won repeatedly, and on other servers the bad guys won repeatedly, and on a very few, the fights were close. This supposed game had mirrored classes, and on servers where the bad guys won, the good guys screamed, "No! They aren't REALLY mirrors!" On the servers where the good guys won, the bad guys screamed, "It's no fair to play against organized teams or teams that work well together!" So what's the moral of the story? OP, you're a Baddie Bad, who, from inability to read the forums he posts in well enough to isolate a Republic winning server, deserves to get rolled in this and the next 4 games you play.
  12. Probably worth a second bump. And come on? No bites on Lamar Mundane?!?

  14. If you're talking street legends, you gotta bring up a guy called Lamar Mundane....
  15. 8 or 9/10. I really like it. Rewards skill, cooperation, the bolster is great, easy to find games. Great balance (alts in all classes, and everyone of them dominates in some way). Just wish there was more of it. -1 for the occasional laggy/buggy skill.

    Xp off option

Here is something all the 'no' people will agree to: Go ahead and allow a player to turn off xp.....up to level 39. Boom! You're all welcome

    50 Bracket Sucks

This is the first post I've read where the OP accounts for gear, Faction, level and organization, and is upset because they are bads with no skill that lose to more skilled players. My god. Seriously, this HAS to be a troll. A really really great troll.
  18. I take umbrage to this statement. Calling ice-cream an invertebrate is derogatory at the least. And seriously, if your canoe loses it's wheels, please learn to play.
  19. As far as I can tell, aside from a couple true bugs/glitches, a few folks looking for a couple more rewards or venues to fight, ALL the PvP complaints really revolve around: 1) You're a bad that can't handle more than 5 keys, and there are way too many abilities and tools at your disposal to 5 key it through. Lack of macros breaks your baddie soul. 2) You're low level and higher level people or people that have put more time in can beat you. 3) You're not organized, and people that ARE organized can beat you. 4) Your team isn't carrying you. 5) Your counter-class, played well by someone else, rolls you, despite you being a PvP hero....I mean the Jedi Council told you themselves there has only been 3 like you over the past millennium. Baddies make my eyes hurt.
  20. It's Hardcore for a video game. It's a video game. Truly hardcore would be if you fought online and then afterwards, if you lost, the winner gets your address, could come to your house, kick in your door, smack your mother (whom you're still living with) upside her head and proceed to kick your teeth in. Or you play online, but if you lose, you lose real money in sizable amounts. Anything short of these two scenarios is pretty much the same. 'Hardcore' or 'Hardcore PvPer' gets to be taken with an automatic grain of salt. The OPs description is just as valid as anyone else IMO.
  21. Watching your video for 5 painful minutes....yes...you're bad.
  22. Wow dude! You're kinda a dick. Sounds like you have the frail ego Deadies.
  23. Great healing RoughRaptors. Best numbers I've seen to date. I imagine MANY baddies trying to wrap their heads around it. Didn't some guy post that he'd never post again about healers being weak if you posted this vid? I wonder if he's out there fuming somewhere.
