If you skip side quests and just do the main class quest path, you should be on target exactly with the leveling. Anything you add beyond that will raise you above that level. Which is fine really, just skip side quests on 2-3 planets, and then you get more playability next time through.

I think people like having the opportunity to effectively write an angry letter to the God of the world they spend the most time in. It is nice that they have a forum for that.

Bioware makes deep RPG content. But it gets used up fast. They have been real open about that, and they are making more all the time. For me, its plently of content. I play 10 hours or less a week. For someone that plays 10 hours or more a day, this game just won't last. Bioware knew that, if you watched development you knew that too. But people still want to play it just like they play their favorite MMOs, and they are disappointed.

First sentence is pretty accurate, second sentence is not so accurate. Yes, they said it would be innovative, and to me it is. Yes, they said it will last, and for me it will (playing 5-10 hours/week). But what they didn't ever say is that it will last for years if you are a hardcore MMO player. In fact, they were pretty clear this is KoTOR 3 the MMO, which you can pretty much infer won't appeal to many hardcore MMO players.

I'm sure gold spammers would love that idea!

Well, I'm a successful 42 year old that had to work very hard to become this way, and had very little help, but I thought SWG was mostly terrible, and love this game. I certainly don't want a game that mimics anything like my work life when I go home. I've played games all my life, and used them to escape reality, but never have I desired to make my game life like job. In fact, when that has happened to me, its been terrible for my real life and put aspects of it in real jeopardy. So you see, this has nothing to do with being old. It has to do with your own personal opinion. This game isn't SWG2, was never advertised to be that, and in fact, was advertised to the be KoTOR the MMO. So how could you ever expect it to be SWG2?

Sounds about right. Not surprising at all. This stuff isn't easy. That is why its so funny when people say things like "Tehy just cut and paste WoW, then gave it a Sci-Fi skin". People just don't understand how this stuff works.

Lore and Cannon? Bullocks! Its a game in a fictional world 3000 years before the parts that really matter. Plus, who cares? Star Wars was invented to be fun, not dogma.

Here is how I translated this internally: I tried to play SWTOR, but I'm too brainwashed by WoW. Maybe when this Hamster wheel slows down I can get off and try something new, but for now I'll think of some lame excuse I read on the forums and re-post it to justify my continued addiction to WoW.

Nope, but in this case, Bioware complained they had to modify the engine heavily and that it might have been faster and better in the long run if they built it from scratch. Often that is the case!

Because when you made single player RPGs for a living and someone asks you: "Go out and make an MMO!" And you have never made an multi-player online engine (well since Neverwinter Nights and that was a kind of hack to be multi-player), you think you better give it to an expert instead. Unfortunately, that is often the wrong answer 5 years later.

Answer: stop playing your MMO and go hang out with some non-pixelated characters...

Completely agree. This is the space SWTOR is aiming for, and people that expected otherwise where fooling themselves. No one is making a 100million dollar + MMO over 5 years to just attract hardcores.
