  1. Mercs have very good damage but they are strictly single target, that's why you don't see mercs doing top damage. To fix mercenaries is pretty simple. 1 - Remove the healing from Relfect and the blue shield. Literally no other class has that, it's too much, 3 HP bars is too much. 2 - Make Mercs choose between Reflect or blue shield. Keep hydraulic overrides baseline. Add a 5 minutes protection against Electro Net.
  2. So I play for 20 hours/week, 20 characters I get 20 CQ conquest. You play 20 hours/week, 1 character, you get 1 CQ conquest. So it's not about time, it's about your ONE character only getting 1 reward so you're forced to play as many alts as you can if you want to take advantage of the system. Did I understand you correctly?
  3. Mercs will still have 3 HP bars if that's what you're asking.
  4. I really don't understand when people say "I play Consular", no you don't. You play either Sage or Shadow so which is it? It's two completely different classes.
  5. I understand you and I think a solo mode could be a thing for you to experience the whole lore behind the Dread Masters. People here aren't even reading your post and already saying "what bruh you crazy solo ops lol just use group finder hurr". Would be very nice if we had 10 new story chapters where we can defeat the Dread master one for each chapter. It's not an absurd people, this game has plenty of solo players, I'm not one but I do understand you.
  6. Die? No. Mass players leaving like 5.0? Absolutely. But this time there's no way to recover.
  7. I don't see people actually insulting the devs. One thing I find absurd is when they say "we want to simplify the game for everyone, we want to reduce vendors, we want to reduce currencies" and then they do exactly the opposite of what they say. The only dev that I feel obligated to insult is Ben Irving for pushing the 5.0 fiasco, that guy had zero idea of what he was doing. EDIT: he is gone now, I know.
  8. Someone is coming to punch me in the face, should I just wait and see if they will actually hit me?
  9. I am not saying people aren't smart, it was BIOWARE who said it. This is why they simplified the gearing system on 6.x because people couldn't deal with 5.0 fiasco. It wasn't me sir. I do agree with you but the reality shows otherwise. "It's a boring mini game that overloads your inventory with junk, offers no challenge or proper feelings of progression, waste a lot of time, and is useless after you hit 306." If you only play one character then yes, it's boring. A good portion of the "junk" I use to gear up all my alts and that's very easy to do with the current system. Challenge on gearing? So you have the WoW mindset, I see it now. Well, 7.0 is exactly for people like you, have fun.
  10. 7.0 is amazing because you can play the way you want! If you want to play FP's, you'll get FP's gear that can only be upgraded by doing FP's. Let's say you grinded FP's and achieved max gear, but now you want to pvp, you have to start all over again from zero with the pvp gear! Isn't it amazing? You have to grind pvp to achieve max pvp gear! Oh and all this gear will NOT be moddable, you won't be able to min/max your stuff anymore by doing these activities. The only moddable gear will drop from high level raids. The current system is horrible! It's all moddable gear, you reach 306 very quick but there's a bit of RNG on the loot you get, but you get so many loot that you don't even notice the RNG. It's a bad system that you can achieve max gear by doing FP's, raids, pvp, heroics, conquest, story quests, events, GSF and even side quests. No, you can't have that it's a bad thing! ONE vendor for each class, if you get better loot you just equip it. That's very hard for a new player to understand apparently. Seriously, Bioware has Z E R O idea of what they're doing. 7.0 will be good for NiM raiders because they'll be able to show off better gear on Fleet. Now prove me wrong.
  11. The complaints were not about the RNG per se, the complaints were about being 306 but still getting lots of 300, 302 and 304. The amount of loot we get now completely negates RNG, it's so easy to get bis mod/Armoring and Enhancements that the RNG factor don't even count. The junk in your inventory can all become Tech frags that you can buy embers or gear up alts, I really can't see the bad side of the current system. Everything is bound to legacy, do you remember when Mod/Armoring/Enhancement were all bound to a specific slot? That was terrible. The current system is much better. You said that in 7.0 you can play the way you want, that is true, but they are implementing a vendor for every single activity in the game, that's a terrible thing, more vendors, more currencies and more complications, that goes directly against their goal to simplify the game.
  12. You got it wrong. I said that I'm a founder and 20k hours because it means that I've seen all the goods and bads from Bioware. And I'm still here after 10 years giving Bioware my feedback to improve the game because I love this game. Founders who just /flex their Founders title are not even playing the game nor giving a damn about giving feedback. I'm not that one.
  13. 32bits directx 9 won't allow it. The engine can't handle more stuff, look at the 6.x Ops and Fp's, all broken for months, some very old bugs not fixed.
  14. For what we had before 6.x offers a lot of freedom when it comes to gear. Bound to legacy, no specific slot on mods, "universal" gear with no set bonus that can be equipped by any class, the removal of Strenght / Aim / Wilpower, adaptive gear (heavy, medium, light) and I could go on but you got the idea. 6.x has a balance. Do you care about set bonus? Then you grind for it. You don't care about set bonus? Then you can have one gear for all your characters. This is very very different than what we had before, it's much more convenient now.
  15. Keep 6.x gearing system, period. Improve it, make it even better but do not change it to pre 4.x. Create big and unique cosmetics for Master and NiM raiders that binds on pickup (so people don't sell it). I myself don't raid anymore but I agree that doing the hardest content in the game should give you a very good reward to flex muscles on fleet. Oh, don't forget about ranked pvp'ers. The current system is the most balanced and easy to understand from all the systems we've had in 10 years. It's not too late, you saw what happened with 5.0 when you pushed that system and we all said don't do it. In 10 years I learned that you always go through with your decisions even if the whole playerbase is telling you not to it, but this time is different, you are taking away all the freedom we have with 6.x gearing and introducing a messy bad system with lots of vendors, please no more vendors.
  16. I'll be very clear and direct to the point -> https://imgur.com/a/bWcBoe2 Ability pruning is when you merge 2 or 3 skills into ONE. Making me choose between 3 *different abilities* that I ALREADY HAVE ACCESS TO is N-O-T ability pruning. Force Leap/Charge is an example of ability pruning, it roots, interrupts the target, give you resources, does damage AND has some bonuses from utilities. Another example of what could be ability pruning: Merc / Mando Med-shot be merged with basic attack, if you target a friend and use basic attack you gonna heal them, if you target an enemy you gonna damage them. You got the idea. Another example: When they removed aggro dump from Powertech and Juggernaut DPS and made the aoe taunt for DPS work as an aggro dump. If you want to really reduce the numbers of skills in the game it has to be a complete overhaul of all classes and how it works. If you can't overhaul the combat system due to development time and resources, my suggestion is to combine one button for multiple skills: -----------------------THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE----------------------- Guardian / Jugg - Plasma Brand/Shatter + Overhead Slash/Impale be tied to the same button. So if I press 1 my Guardian gonna use Plasma Brand then the icon will update showing Overhead Slash, I press 1 again to use Overhead Slash. Guardian / Jugg - Saber Throw + Hew/Dispatch could share the same button being Saber Throw the default icon, when the finisher procs from the discipline or if the target reaches 30% health the finisher icon would be the first usable skill. I.E my number 1 ability is Saber Throw + Hew, it gonna show Saber Throw's icon. If the target reaches 30% health the icon updates to show Hew. I do agree that there's too much Defensive cooldowns in the game, DPS classes can literally tank for a long period of time until they run out of defenses. I suggest that you don't touch the defensive cooldowns FOR NOW but try to implement ability pruning for damaging skills first.
  17. FFXIV has an amazing performance, it runs dx11 64bit. There's one little trick to make your fps high in that game, limit the maximum visible characters to 20. If you let the game renderize 100 players then it'll have bad performance. Doing 24man raids I get 80+ fps, doing tier A Hunts and Bozja I get 80+ fps easily.
  18. Dear Bioware: Do NOT make it RNG like korean games where you grind for 36 hours just to fail the enhancement. That's all, thanks.
  19. Yes that's exactly my point, there's no CPU or GPU capable of keeping 60+fps in the middle of 12+ players in warzones. In raids my fps is 100+ easily because it's just 8 players, but when it comer to 12+ then it drops from 60 frequently. I use hdmi, 60hz 1080p but i'm gonna upgrade to 2580x1440p 120hz soon.
  20. Can I ask you something? Can you record a video of you playing a level 75 warzone in the middle of 12+ players using skills? I want to see if your FPS will stay above 60.
  21. Not EVERYTHING... Just these 3 things to make it better for them. They are not asking for it, I am, a veteran who watches new players get to level 40 using 2 abilities, full zoom'ed in camera and no sprint. The game IS very accessible but you're not seeing the big picture here. I'm talking about these 3 little things, I never said the whole game has to change.
  22. Here we are in 2021 and no PC is capable of running 8v8 Warzones at 60fps at all times. I have a Ryzen 5800x + 3070Ti + 3866Mhz 32gb ram + NvME SSD. The game drops to 35-40fps in the middle of all the action in a level 75 warzone. No matter if it's on Low, medium or High settings. Friend of mine has an Intel 11900K + 3080Ti + 32gb 3600mhz + SSD, it drops to ~45fps on Yavin 4 mid node with everyone using skills.
  23. 1 - Make "Extended quickbars" a default for new players. 2 - Camera max distance to 100% by default in the in-game options. 3 - Make Sprint enabled for everyone since level 1 by default. You have no idea the amount of people that plays the game and have no clue about using more abilities and zooming out the camera. They don't even know about the abilities panel where they can enable Sprint. They just don't, they play the game "as is". I like helping new players, so I go to Twitch and watch new people, literally all of them don't even go to the in-game options. They just don't. A LOT of them I mean a L-O-T of them are level 40+ using 1 skill bar, no sprint on and camera all zoomed in. Is it Bioware's fault? NO, I know it's not Bioware's fault, believe me I know but hey it would take almost zero development time to change these 3 things and it'd make the game way better for new players.
  24. No please. Hope they don't tell us the date so they can do their best to deliver an amazing expansion.
