  1. Not currently. Legacy is per server only.
  2. Another case for just giving us the option to buy our mods from the vendor rather than the pre-itemized piece of ugly gear. I completed your challenge and downed your boss, let me have a reward that I want and doesn't cost me 90k credits.
  3. Which server is that? And how do you know these are new players and not existing ones re rolling on a more populated server?
  4. Accept no one in their right mind is going to leave a populated server for a dead one. Even the more populated servers barely have what I would call a bustling level activity at peak hours.
  5. By happy there is actually a matrix cube for your spec, unlike assassin/shadow tanks.
  6. Chiss, because the zoidberg race is the ugliest in the game IMO
  7. Normal mode ops are easier than most hard mode flashpoints. If anything Columi gear should be removed from normal ops before it is removed from HM flashpoints.
  8. The classes in the game are like your job. No job is restricted to a particular race. Also there are many levels of force sensitivity, and none of them require you to take the job of jedi or sith, you can do whatever you want for a living.
  9. Money sinks are need no mater what form the come it. In STO there were no money sinks and people ended up with ridiculous amounts of money. As a result the AH prices rose to ridiculous levels. In the end it makes it almost impossible for new players to catch up.
  10. I think the reason they make endgame gear so ugly is to force us to spend money on taking the mods out. It's rather genius money sink if you think about it
  11. Come 1.2 the good players in pvp will be able to show it by their ranking not by what they are wearing.
  12. Are you saying developers cannot make bad decisions with their updates that could eventually drive people away?
  13. No, I want to get the itemization I like the first time on my gear. Currently this is not possible as many mods and enhancements are not even available (even on other class gear) above level 49 crafted stuff. And if they are it often mean rolling against another class, spending 30K to rip out the mod and the toss the rest in the garbage. I can't believe that is how the current system is intended. It's sloppy and inefficient. If I get a token for a piece of gear I want to be able to turn it in for something I like 100%, not 66% or 33% of what I want.
  14. I really hope a dev reads this, because I believe it to be an elegant solution to customization and itemization issues with raid and pvp gear. First let me say, I love the concept behind the orange modable gear in game It has the potential to solve appearance and stat itemization issues in other games, and in a smart and effective way. The appearance factor seems to be ironed out in 1.2 but the customization of stats still needs some streamlining. Basically what is wrong with the system is there isn't allot of room to customize your gear when you get it. You buy it and then jockey around mods later. This adds allot of extra steps and headache, not to mention the credit costs for remoding. My solution is this: Example: I am a trooper and down a operation boss. The boss drops my token for my Rakata gloves. 1.) I either turn in the token or it can be a clicky that I use. Either method will do, let the programs decide which is easier to implement. 2.) After using the item (or turning it in) a window pops up for me to pick my gear. This is unlike a vendor as it will allow me to get the gloves that suit me best. 3.) The window has 3 columns to choose your mods. At the top is row of the mods I have selected. At the bottom has a choice between either the orange shell of the gloves or something of value should I not need or want the empty orange gear. The other option could be something like 2-3 daily commendations. What is important is thet the player have the choice of 2 similar useful things. 4.) Column 1: This a selection of the armoring mods available to you. In this example they are Aim/Endurance for the trooper. There are different ones to choose from based on set bonuses and such. These set bonuses are tied to the gloves as they would be in 1.2. You simply select the one you want and it is highlighted and shown at the top of the window. 5.) Column 2: This is a selection of the mod slot mods. Again there is a verity of stats to choose from that fit your class. You simply select the one you want and it is highlighted and shown at the top of the window. 6.) Column 3: This is your enhancement selection. This list will always be the largest as there are many possibilities to chose from. Think of all the different level 49 ones that artifice can make. You simply select the one you want and it is highlighted and shown at the top of the window. 7.) Now you have selected all your mods and chosen between the orange shell or other item. The items are shown at the top of the window for easy review and you can change your selections at anytime. 8.) Click accept. This will give you a confirmation as to what you are purchasing. Click ok and the items appear in your inventory Congratulations you are now the proud owner of Rakata trooper gloves with the stats YOU want, fully customized to your needs! To modify the system to work for PvP gear, simple have a vendor to exchange pvp commendations for the PvP version of the token, and of course the mods would be pvp orientated (IE: expertise on them) It may seem like a lengthy process but I tried to explain it in as full detail as I could. Maybe I will make a graphical mock up anyone is interested in the idea. And I am sure there is room for improvement, but I hope you see the general concept. Thank you for your time.
  15. Sorry to raise this thread from the dead, but I know how the mods love to close anything new. Where does one get Rakata level mods to "swap out"? Are you saying we need to get another piece of gear (possibly from another class depending on the mod we need), spend 30k to take the mod out and toss the rest in the garbage? Is this the system working as intended?
  16. Yeah, the logistics of the token system for them would have to be ironed out. But in the end we could actually customize our customizable gear! I know that just sounds crazy!
  17. They should just give us a wide selection of mods, enhancements and armoring to choose from rather than these preset pieces of gear. Then we can itemize the gear how we want and the devs don't have to worry about it as much.
  18. I haven't gotten to 50 yet. But did a /who the other night on Karraga's Place and were ~50 people there. So someone is running ops.
  19. Canderous Ordo is looking like the highest pop east server with a good faction balance, that I have been able to find thus far.
  20. Twi'leks are awesome. The thing is they are the only race in the game that isn't just a recolored human (or just human). Oh sorry forgot about the zoidberg race, lol.
  21. Just let us get our mods, enchantments and armoring from the vendor rather than these preset setups in the gear. 1. Most people are just going to rip the mods out and put them in gear they like the look of in 1.2. 2. We have this massive level of customization before endgame, through crafted mods (artifice has like 50 different enhancement recipies), then have almost no customization with endgame gear.
