  1. I won't bother to reply to a thread that didn't even cover the very basics in the title. Like: - x is a slap in the face of y. - do z or I'll unsub. - just change the engine!. You also didn't even manage to write in all caps, noob.
  2. Being german myself I am highly surprised to find out that people here celebrate pilgram fathers sponging off the natives, when it would probably have been in their best interest to scalp them instead. Thanksgiving may have originated from religions fanatics (or the natives) who may have had a vague idea of a harvest festival similar to german erntedankfest, but today's incarnation of thanksgiving has almost nothing in common with it anymore. Ironically, canadian thanksgiving is quite similar to german 'thanksgiving', so maybe that's what you are confusing here.
  3. If anything, it should have a checkbox with "show only cheapest offer per item" or something like that. Currently, the ah on my server is always swamped with elegant dress tiarasand training jerseys noone will ever buy, so the first 5 pages or so of adaptive armor are practically always full of completely useless info. What it looks like: Elegant Dress Tiara [230c] Elegant Dress Tiara [250c] Elegant Dress Tiara [1999c] Elegant Dress Tiara [2000c] Republic Training Helmet [2500c] Elegant Dress Tiara [2550c] Elegant Dress Tiara [3000c] (...) What it should look like: Elegant Dress Tiara [230c] (6) Repubic Training Helmet [2500c] (1) (...)
  4. Sadly no. The best companion is always treek. She's both the best heal and the best tank, and there is little reason to even bother with dps companions currently.
  5. You can get the transport down to 1 hour and unlimited transports to fleet without cooldown through the security key vendor, so getting to the ship/fleet is rarely an issue. I do agree about the airlocks though, they generally seem to have no purpose and cause even more loading screens. What I'd love as a feature would be a mechanic that allows you to directly port to a discovered waypoint from your ship if that's possible. If not, at least allowing porting in airlocks would help considerably already.
  6. I do that, I just don't like to. Later on in the game, especially healer companions become so powerful, that they are practically needed to solo H2+ missions, and make questing a lot smoother and faster. My gripe with it is that I don't see any reason why I would have to chose in the first place. Originally, the game was designed so that you could chose the companion you wanted aesthetically and would fit him with a set of abilities that were suitable for your gameplay needs. Sith warriors for example could have vette heal them. And they could kill quinn, which is another perk.
  7. Sith pureblood is not a class, it's a race. And your question is pretty pointless because you can already create characters of any race and class combination through legacy unlocks, it's actually very hard to miss.
  8. DISCLAIMER: I do not mean to upset the surely numerous treek lovers, if you want to run with her, by all means do so. I'm just a bit annoyed by the fact that the companion that has such an outstandingly powerful set of abilities looks like a comic relief character; when my sith warrior is slaughtering puppies left and right, it just doesn't feel right for me to have him run around guarded by that blabbering furball. Preferrably, I'd love to have those companion combat role kits back that were taken out in beta, but if that's asking too much, a somewhat less cute companion would be great.
  9. Ironically, I think the undying rage changes hurt the class much more in unorganized play then it does in organized. If you get spiked by an enemy team in arenas, it will still give your healers some breathing room, you will be at 100% when it ends and in the target of your healer and probably guarded by your tank. Chances are, it's still enough to save you from certain death, even if it's available significantly less often. In unorganized play though undying rage + medpack is much more dangerous now. To get the most out of it, you would have to wait out the final tick and then medpack, leaving you wide open for cc in the meantime, so you'll probably have to use it during the abilities uptime, losing half of your medpack's effectiveness.
  10. Simply not going to happen because of the extensive work it would require in voice recording.
  11. Some NPCs comment on your race, but it's always just one line of dialogue and then branches go back to default again; there are no racial quests or special npcs or anything like that. Also, the legacy unlock races were added after launch, so there is no dialogue whatsoever that directly calls them out, and at best it defaults to nonhuman. No one, for example, will ever question the loyalty of your sith pureblood jedi master or their subterfuge skills as an agent in republic operations...
  12. There are so many things in the world worth fighting against, and you chose... this. I mean the worst they can do to you is make a videogame you will not want to play, oh the horror... They surely deserve all the hate they can get.
  13. Do you mean story or gameplay wise? The story at least makes you look pretty damn powerful in the end. I wouldn't read it but if you really want to know, here's what you get: *BEWARE! EXPLICIT ENDING SPOILER AHEAD, FINAL CUTSCENE INCLUDED!*
  14. I do agree that OP has some merit here. Of course players with half of a brain can easily circumvent the issue, but in software development (and especially games for that matter), you have to assume that your average customer is a complete and total imbecile. It's an oversight if you don't, not a big one in this case, but it wouldn't have been too hard to fix it while they were on it anyway.
  15. Statistically, what you are talking about is the central limit theorem, right? I can see where you are coming from, and I think I would generally agree that it should apply, but I can also see why it would have difficulties. Generally speaking, I think something like microsoft's trueskill rating tends to work better in group matchups.
  16. Gameplay wise, treek is probably the single best companion there is, she wil be better then every other healer or tank in their own role, and be able to switch them as a bonus. That being said, that stupid comic relief furball is the single most unepic companion one could think of, and I wouldn't want to be caught dead running with her.
  17. Actually, I think the whole story is that the original design (as in earlier betas) was that companions could be outfitted with different skillsets, depending on your needs. So even if you killed a character, you wouldn't really lose anything of value, because the companions roles were interchangable. Somewhere down the line though, they first decided that companions should have distinct (and unique) combat roles, "to give them more character" or something like that. This was the change that came first, and after it, it made sense to remove companion deaths, because it wasn't deemed feasible for players to be able to effictively permanently cripple their gameplay (through the loss of your healer) for rp reasons. I for one, would love to see both changes reverted, because if there's one thing I would prefer over being able to kill quinn and get a robot replacement, it would be to be able to kill quinn and still use a real companion.
  18. No, at least jar kai sword is definitely broken right now, the amount of recent threads that complain about login issues could have told you that already.
  19. You could at least read the original post before replying. They said that warzones would be made accessible to f2p some time after 2.4, but they didn't specify a date.
  20. Sorry, but if anything, your argument is utter bull-crap. Without knowing anything about their netcode and server-tech, we simply can't tell wether it would be feasible or not.
  21. A functionality like this was already in the game all the way back in beta. Companions would be equipped with different skillsets that covered all the 5 "companion classes" (melee/ranged-tank/dd or healer), and would then act accordingly. It was then cut, because they thought a fixed set of skills would give companions "more character", completely disregarding that gameplay needs are independent of individual companion preference.
  22. Most likely, they are being removed to be rewards for some sssp related activities instead...
  23. So, what you're saying is we shouldn't complain and keep 50-60gb dedicated to the client and update the backup manually after every patch? I'd rather have a working patcher still.
  24. Dude. He said it's a Wookie. On Endor. I dind't even read what you wrote after that, because that guy had driven the point home already. Back on topic, yea, that was some nice trolling. Just incompetent and narrow minded enough that you might really take it seriously. You lost it with the copy & paste part though, that broke your streak.
  25. This. The mere thought of just "switching engines" at this stage of the game's lifecycle is completely ridiculous. Only someone without any knowledge in the field at all would even propose something like that. There is no discussion to be had about that. /thread
