  1. I think there are a lot more people affected, but they simply don't know it. It's frustrating that there's been no response, you would think they'd be interested in retaining people who got back to the game.
  2. Same here, I have a lot of codex entries and high level characters, and I'm bummed this is bugged. Any official response would be nice.
  3. Bump. Last patch made the Beastmaster achievement obtainable, but I can't get it because all the codex entries I already have don't count. Could we please get any comment on this?
  4. Bump. I got my ticket back, which contained a simple canned reply from a bot. It would be really great if an actual human could reply. I'm missing out on Cartel Coins because of this, so I will send more tickets until this is fixed.
  5. Thanks, but yeah, I know. I'm not getting any achievements. Seems to be a recently introduced bug. I found some other people with the same issue
  6. Hey, I'm suffering this issue too! The game didn't seem to scan my codex entries either, so I'm missing a ton of achievements I should have gotten. I'm going to try to send tickets in-game until it gets resolved. This is a quote from the official blog post from the achievement introduction:
  7. Thanks! I think I'll file a ticket too, though I've heard bad things about the support. I actually found this from the official blog post from the achievement introduction:
  8. Hello, I have a question regarding achievements. I've returned to the game after about 1.5 years (I quit before achievements were implemented). So now I'm back, but very few achievements have activated for me. I know that they won't/can't track many kill achievements, but I was under the impression that they would look at your codex and grant you related achievements, e.g. FP/OPS bosses if you have their codex entries. I also don't have the class story achievements for my characters, which I can't simply re-acquire short of re-levelling another of the same class. Am I wrong in this, or was that only for people who were active at the time? I'm not all that fussed about some achievements, but quite a few ones I'm missing give CC. PS. Figured I'd stick it in this forum for now. Searching didn't yield much, so not sure if this is a bug.
  9. Bioware really should have removed the mod stations from the game entirely, regardless of whether they have future plans for them. They confuse so many new players.
  10. You'll need to give us more info. A screenshot would be great.
  11. Will you ever show faction balance on the in-game server list or the server status page on this site? It would help many people trying to pick a server.
  12. 1) The 'population' on the server list is from that moment, not overall. I would recommend using http://www.torstatus.net/ for choosing a server. 2) There is currently no way to switch except for rerolling. While there will be ways to switch in the future, you should expect these transfers to have a (considerable) pricetag, as is usual with MMOs. Wall of Light is a pretty average server population-wise. Some additional comments: torstatus doesn't say anything about faction balance which can also be a deciding factor. Keep in mind that a skewed balance not in your favor may not be fun. I would highly suggest anyone to roll on one of the top 10 servers (based on population). There are very rarely any queues to get into servers these days, even the most populated ones, but there are a lot of (very) low population servers. And since this is an MMO, it's not much fun to not be able to find groups for anything. Maybe it's made worse by the fact there is no good LFG system currently, and people in your level range for say, a flashpoint, might be spread across 2-3 planets, the fleet, personal ships, etc, and you don't have an effective way to reach them except contacting them one by one. There really is no reason not to join a high population server right now, as the queues have been all but eliminated. Only if you have a somewhat older pc which might slow down in busy areas (meaning low fps, longer load times) would I advise less populated servers.
  13. The war hero title is simply a reward for reaching valor rank 70 and can be obtained right now. The gear is coming in 1.2.
  14. Unlucky. It's possible. Take it from me, it's not worth it. Since implants don't gain armor or DPS like other gear, just some (secondary) stats, the benefit is not worth the huge cost.
  15. I guess, as GnatB talks about, the larger issue really is that probably 50-75% of the RE'd schematics in the game are useless because they have wrong stat combinations. I would love to see those eliminated entirely, but I doubt that will happen. RNG and timesinks are what make MMOs work.
  16. Ah, that must be why that blue sniper rifle I put on the GTN wasn't selling. You learn something new every day.
  17. There was indeed a patch note some time ago stating it had been fixed, but it still happens. It seems to be rarer now, and I'm unsure in which circumstances it happens, but it is still happening now and then. PS: Is Diplomancy related to Necromancy?
  18. Unfortunately, I'm still seeing bugged nodes on the PTS.
  19. I'm a tank so I'm not going to wear medium or even light armor. Hoods are annoying because you can actually see that your toon is bald under them. =/ I'm also not big on PvP, sadly. I hope some of the new orange armor in 1.2 is hoodless.
  20. I'm looking for a chestpiece without a hood for my Guardian alt. Does such a thing exist right now? I'm not willing to equip trooper gear just so I can see my alt's hair again, and I don't want to wear a visor type thing either.
  21. Tor doesn't have any sort of utility/support group role as I understand other MMO's have. It's just the trinity of damage, healing and tanking. That said, as a sorcerer you can often prevent your group from taking extra damage by using your interrupt and stun. At early levels, your force regeneration will be a bit iffy in long or difficult fights. Force Surge, at almost the top of the corruption tree, is what really makes your regen better. But you won't be able to get that until level 35+. The two talents at the bottom of the lightning tree can help in those early level by reducing heal costs and increasing your total force pool. Many people find it easier to take those first, since the early corruption talents don't offer much to help your regen. You can always respec (first one's free) once you reach 35. The 20% to your bubble is nice, but not as great as the other two lightning talents. The last point can be put wherever you want, really. Most people seem to prefer the 1% damage reduction in the madness tree. Pushback: If you're casting a spell, and someone or something hits you, the cast bar goes back a little bit. Reducing this pushback is always a good thing, because it allows you to get your heal off quicker. I'm not sure if you noticed, but there is a Sorcerer subforum too. You will find a lot more info there.
  22. ''Because we do not want players to gamble with reverse engineering custom appearances (orange items) which are often unique quest rewards, the schematics for these items are obtained via mission discoveries for various gathering skills and are set to Bind on Equip to encourage active trading.'' 23. I've had over a hundred mails in my box. It's really quite a neat storage space, since it stays there for at least 60 days. (It gets sent back to the sender after 30 days and can stay there for a while too.)
  24. Yep, the codex is really bugged. You can't complete a single planet completely, there's always at least a few codex entries unobtainable. BW hasn't made a single comment about this issue so far though, and it's not getting fixed in the upcoming patch either. You should make an in-game /bug report, as the more people that report something, the faster it might get fixed. If you're still interested in filling up your codex, use this: List of bugged codex entries for empire: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=104803 Republic: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=292539 And the site www.swtor-spy.com has the most complete database of codex entries that are in the game. Go to Browse Database at the top, then Codex. This site also lists all the datacrons. (remember, they give codex entries too!)
  25. The keybindings tab is at the bottom of the preferences menu. Easy to miss.
