  1. The main story quest on Ilum counts as a class quest (and gives x12 xp, but not increased commendations), despite being faction wide. Also, as mentioned, the Makeb storyline. Makeb is your best bet though, as Ilum quests take a long time to complete and has a lot of steps before you reach each reward.
  2. My dad had a game called "Eagle" or something similar on the old computer back around 1990. It was a top-down anti-nazi shooter of sorts. It wasn't any good, and I sucked at it, but it inspired me to take a look at those other floppies (and later CDs) he had lying around from magazines and such to see if there were any cool shareware games on them. And that was the start of it I guess. The rest is gaming history
  3. If you're Inquisitor, you also get this as a reward from the class quest line in the mid-levels.
  4. It looks like he didn't cancel his account after all
  5. I'd think I was suffering from some kind of stroke or brain aneurism. I'd close the door, sit down and test myself for other stroke symptoms.
  6. I don't know if we'd be quite prepared for that. *ba-dum PSH!* Still, it could be added as a hair style, I guess. It'd be a better choice than those mirialan face tattoos, as far as the cartel market go.
  7. The ability to use the Rocket Boots (or boost, can't remember) is totally worth it. Account-wide inventory slots and bank tabs are also quite nice. If you need money, you can always buy cartel packs and sell the rare stuff you find. Some items are worth severeal hundred thousand credits!
  8. I've seen it every now and then on the GTN for 3-4 million credits. They disappear after a while, so I recon they actually sell.
  9. And now I ahve to boil my eyes and mind with clorine to get THAT image out of my head.
  10. Class stories are tied to the completion of main quest lines. For example, a lot of conversations unlock after you are done with Belsavis and the following class specific quest before Voss.
  11. I preordered the CE too, so I feel a bit of/some/the pain. The CE vendor is underwhelming, yes. My statue has never seen daylight, I have gotten a total of three "where do you get those colors" whispers since launch, the mouse droid looks like a robot vacuumer (which it probably is), and my authenticator is well darn handy. Now that that's out the way, I have to say I don't feel *entitled* to anything more. Sure, a vague promise has been broken but the fact remains that more stuff on the CE vendor isn't exactly making or breaking their money flow. Will a new outfit keep subscribers? Will it be the scale tipping the weight? Probably not. Will new players buy a new CE because moar exlusive? Some might, but not enough to justify it and increasing the distance from us CE holders to the rest of the playerbase. Let's hope they have the Malgus statue visible in their office at BioWare, one of the bosses eyes it after a late night of coffee and sleep deprivation and goes "Hey, lemme do some sneaky changes to the CE vendor before going home!" And lo and behold, if the stars, planets and battlecruisers align we WILL see a ridable rancor pup for sale there!
  12. If you bind them all to the same character, it becomes available in your collection, allowing that character to claim additional copies of the set, and with a payment in cartel coins, allow all characters associated with your legacy to claim it too. This goes for other armor sets and items as well, with a few exceptions.
  13. How do you feel about the Relnex set? It's hood-down, no-plate robes
  14. Not entirely true - if you're close to level 10, you can also get some experience on the fleet by talking to all the crafting trainers (codex unlocks per profession) and choosing your profession afterwards
  15. Non-lightsaber classes are apparently less popular than sith or jedi. Other than that, class diversity seems to vary slightly in different level brackets. Gunslingers and snipers are surprisingly scarce.
  16. According to this link, the Emperor is voiced by Doug Bradley.
  17. Oooh, shiny! Me like. I know people have been screaming for more Huttball, and it looks like they'll be happy (or slightly happier, at least) now
  18. Of course, if you are willing to pry off your space bar button, you can replace the mechanical component that makes the clicking noise with a more silent kind (google "mechanical keyboard switches").
  19. Healing and ranged magic? That's gotta be the Jedi Sage (advanced class for Jedi Consular, chosen at level 10) and its opposite Sith Sorcerer (advanced class for Sith Inquisitor, chosen at level 10). Those are the only classes healing and dealing damage with the Force, which is probably what you're after if you want "magic" The Sage uses mental powers to throw rocks, debris, pebbles and balls of air to deal damage, while the Sorcerer is mostly lightning-based.
  20. I got a nVidia GTX 580 (if you're wondering about getting a cheaper, slightly last-generation card), and I can run SWTOR with max everything (1920x1080) just fine. However, the fan goes into overdrive when playing this game. It's keeping the card steady at 75-80 C at 2/3 fan speed. As for other graphically demanding games - The Secret World can be cranked up to max "mostly everything", but will run at 35ish fps and have minor fog related framedrops some places. Bottom line: GTX 580 + SWTOR = totally OK.
  21. Damn. Now I imagine my smuggler saying... that. And now I want a burger.
  22. I kinda liked it. Don't expect anything powerawesome as certain other storylines, but if you appreciate the selfless diplomatic approach with a twist of lightsaber, you will have a good time with the consular story. And you *will* want some of the new allies as companions instead of that twi'lek...
