  1. I honestly hope if they run into Ahsoka that they arent aware of her true identity. Anyone going around revealing who they were pre- Order 66 and were Jedi/Jedi Supporters are going to have a hard time. I wouldnt mind seeing Rex again. It will be interesting to see how the Clones are holding up after shooting down the Jedi they had come to trust and respect. Vader should stay far far away from this. While theres nothing wrong with cameos of characters from Clone Wars and the films. Some things should stay far removed. Vader being one of them. He had 4 films revolve around him and a good portion of Clone Wars the series. Time to give it a break. I havent seen the anything about the timeline involving Rebels. But I was under the impression it was early on in the timeline between Clone Wars and A New Hope. If we do see her. I hope its in a less action packed way. Like running into her while visiting her father. The Galaxy is a big place. And I would prefer Han stayed clear of Rebels. The only reason he came into contact with them was because of Obi Wan and Luke. It should remain that way. Chewie might be able to fit in to the storyline somehow. But again. This goes back to Ahsoka. Anyone with Jedi connections are probably going to want to avoid bringing attention to themselves. So it might be smart to keep Chewie out of all of this. Cody will again be good to see. I hope there is a bit of cross over to show us whats going on on the Empires side of things. And the Clone Troopers always had good episodes in Clone Wars. It be nice to see them again in some fashion. I honestly dont know how theyre going to handle Luke. If he got married and if Mara was the one he married. So this in my opinion isnt going to happen. For many reasons. If Galen is even canon. And the story of him inspiring the formation of the Rebel alliance be true. Sure. But it seems Rebels is taking another direction with this. And maybe even earlier on then 3 BBY. C3PO and R2DR will probably be trailing Leia and her father around. So if we run into either of them. Theres a strong chance we will see them.
  2. I can understand why some would want to get a look at this side of Revan. Since the canon storyline of KoTOR is that he returns to the Jedi Order. But the whole Revan thing is fan service. Its not good storytelling and its distracting from a war that we're constantly reminded is going on somewhere out there. Im starting to think Bioware is unsure of how to portray a war in an MMO and so they continue to ride on things like Revan and Makeb hoping we wont notice.
  3. Since youve decided to make this a hostile exchange. Its paid not payed. As for actually paying attention, that fact didnt get passed me. I simply think it was horrible storytelling. Dark Council plots to kill Emperor. He annihilates all of them and replaces them. Jedi Knight, sworn enemy of the Sith, shows up looking to kill the Emperor. Emperor puts him in a prison and mentally links with him for 300 years. So maybe you should take your own advice. Nitipicking? Do it right.
  4. Every example of a Sith or Jedi using a double sided LS besides this game has shown them to uses it like a staff. And just like a single blade LS. They would of been taught to know how to handle it properly. The reality is regardless if its a Double sided or single blade LS. Its impractical. But we're not talking reality and the only time youve ever seen it being used improperly is in a video game with lack of thought put into how a Jedi/Sith would run with a lightsaber.
  5. Powerful in the force sure. But that doesnt make one a true Sith. I cant say if Plagueis was right or wrong. But there is obviously a difference between Dark Jedi and Sith. Or there wouldnt be a distinction.
  6. The Jedi have always had a mixed response from the Galactic Society as a whole. There were times where they were widely hated, loved or both. Just look at the Clone Wars. They were made the scapegoats by the Republics Citizens long before Palpatine enacted his plans of genocide. Its honestly not beyond belief that the Mandos, who had clashed with the Jedi for generations. Been smacked down and put in their place time and time again by the Jedi. Would eventually develop a deep seated hatred for them. As a warrior, hatred is a very strong and powerful tool to be used against an enemy. Soldiers are taught to hate but at the same time never underestimate their enemies. This would prove true even for the Mandos in regards to the Jedi. They could hate them for their perceived oppression, while reminded that the Jedi are worthy opponents by the simple fact that the Jedi had defeated them time and time again in general.
  7. But Luke did experience a similar incident when Darth Vader severed his arm at the elbow and he fell down the shaft they were fighting above. Episode 5. Its not beyond belief that Mace could have survived. But I believe the only answers we'll gain from any of this is Rebels and Episode 7, 8, and 9.
  8. The Jedi Code There is no emotion, there is peace. This principle guides all meditations and interactions with all others. It reaffirms the Jedi ideal to act without recklessness, and to view the actions of others through the pure lens of the Unifying Force. Do not allow emotions to influence your actions and interactions with others. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. Those who don't understand this basic precept are quick to fear-and fear is the path to the dark side. The Archives represent the greatest collection of knowledge in the Galaxy. Pretty self-explanatory. Ignorance leads to fear, fear leads to the dark side. There is no passion, there is serenity. A subtle extrapolation of the first precept, this reminder to act dispassionately in every deliberation extends to personal obsessions and is a reminder not to elevate the self above the mission. Expanding on the first precept. Do not become obsessed with things, events or people. As it will bring about emotions that will lead to the Dark Side. (Anakins obsession with saving Padme) There is no chaos, there is harmony. Those who cannot see the threads uniting all life view existence as random and without purpose. The Jedi perceive the structure and will of the many galaxies. Everything is meant to happen. There is no death, there is the Force. All things die, but the Force lives on. As beings who exist as shades of the Force, the end of our existence in this form is not to be overly mourned. We are part of an energy larger than ourselves, and we play roles in a cosmic fabric that outstrip our incarnate understanding. Do not fear death, and do not dwell on the deaths of others for too long. To return to the Force is the last journey a Jedi can take. Excerpt from - The Jedi Path, Page 6-7
  9. Its my opinion that Revan isnt actually Revan. The true Revan died fighting the Sith in the Foundry. But I do agree with you OP. I wish they had never involved him with SWTOR in the manner they have. This whole Revan thing smells of Executive involvement. Someone decided SWTOR needed a Luke Skywalker like NPC that would pull in subs. And Revan fit the bill. When I played the mission freeing Revan..I shook my head at the idea that for 300 years. Revan sat in some prison playing mental pattycake with the Emperor and he was able to step out sane. It didnt make any sense. At the least he would of lost his mind. Been turned to the dark side once more since the Emperor easily had done it before. But still alive....hadnt aged a day in 300 years. It was horrible story telling. As for EU. Theres a reason the EU wasnt considered Film Level Canon. Authors left and right began to try and one up each other with more and more ridiculous stories. Im glad Disney put their foot down.
  10. I dont think itll ever happen. But this game is definitely in need of some new life blood. To which two classes and fully fleshed out storylines would do nicely. Unfortunately I dont think BioWare knows what to do with SWTOR at this stage. Theyre stuck in a hard place with the Sub/F2P model and what EA will and will not let them do.
  11. Im not even sure why this is such a big debate. KoTOR and SWTOR take place 3,000 years before A New Hope. When this game was first announced the Devs spoke on how this was done on purpose so they could create their own lore and not be hindered by the 6 films. There is nothing that has happened before, during or after KoTOR that has any effect on what Disney is doing in Episode 7,8 and 9. Same goes for SWTOR. Its so far removed from everything occurring through out the 6 films and future films that its rather ridiculous that this is even being argued about. Its so far in the past that it could easily be explained away as being apart of a forgotten era. Its THAT far removed from the Films and Shows. I mean. Can anyone here tell me what happened on this date in the year 986 BC? No of course not. The Films and Shows reflect this through the Characters like Yoda, Obi Wan and Windu only being able to recall something occurring 1000 years prior to Episode 1.
  12. If I remember correctly in the book telling the story of Plagueis. Plagueis tells Sidious that a Jedi that falls to the Dark Side can never truely be a Sith. That one can only become a true Sith by choosing that path from the very beginning. From my perspective. Dark Jedi are merely those who have lost their way or could not grasp the finer points of being a Sith. They may be extremely dangerous wielding a lightsaber but when it comes to grand schemes and plots. Or even harnessing the true power of the Dark Side. They just cant pull it off.
  13. You have to look at name changes like this in reference to the world we live in now. There are places through out the world where the names have changed for one reason or another. Ill give you an example. My hometown has been around since the 1600s and was originally settled by the Dutch. The town was originally called Bridgetown. But at some point this changed to Bridgeton. The story goes that a reporter misspelled Bridgetown in the local newspaper and somehow it caught on. Whether this is true or not has never been verified but it is a fact that originally my hometown was known as Bridgetown. But most of the time names will be changed due to conquering forces stepping in and deciding to erase any link to a previous nation/government. According to the films. The Old Republic as we know it in this game falls and the Sith take over. Only for the Sith to fall and the Galactic Republic to take its place. Holding strong for 1000 years prior to Palpatine and his plot. Its very likely the Korriban name was changed in an attempt to hide the knowledge of the Sith. As we see in both KOTOR/SWTOR and other non-canon sources. Korriban was looted numerous times by grave-robbers and want-to-be Sith looking for secrets to the Dark Side. Its possible the first leaders of the Galactic Republic wished to stop this sort of thing by the use of disinformation.
  14. If you watched Star Wars: The Clone Wars (The Series) youll notice the Jedi tasked with security of the Temple were all Double Light Saber wielding Jedi. I personally found them to be pretty cool looking with their robes and Revanesque Masks.
  15. While I would love to see new planets. Ive come to realize that new planets mean new level cap. And that means another travesty that was Makeb. The storyline on Makeb was drawn out and really added nothing new to the game in way of story. Theres so many things about Makeb that reflect a rushed job. Story being the primary one. And I really dont want to see that with any other planets. I guess the Devs figured if they could push the Level Cap back a few levels theyd shut up those complaining about lack of endgame. But 5 levels is just 5 levels...Didnt fix the fact that Endgame is still a facade of what it should be 2 years into the games existence. Worse yet. I just want this game to succeed. But if this is the new standard of MMOs. Where building upon what you release is slow, tedious, half assed and marred with financial issues that force you into F2P...Only to turn around and claim that you dont have the money (cough*148mil*cough) to address what this game really needs. Then this game is bound to be the mess it is til they shutdown the servers.
