  1. I hate it because: They merged servers way too late. Not enough character slots after mergers. Game is too linear. Too many instances. Space combat is PvE rail shooter. No carbines for bounty hunters. Pink lightsabers. All stories (except maybe Imperial Agent) suck ***, especially when compared to their previous games. Classes are mirrored between factions. (helps balance yes, but takes away from replayability) Too many stuns. Leveling is way to fast. Lack of end game content. Voidstar. Art design is kinda lame. Most armor looks like a jump suit. All body models are stupid except for female body 2 and maybe male body 3. No athletic body type. It's either scrawny or super hulk. Biggest issue for me is just how easy and accessible everything is. I was almost never challenged with this game. There's no sense of immersion with all the flight paths, fleet passes, maps, linear level deigns, etc. No sense of exploration. Both fleets look the same. All space stations and stuff look the same. etc etc etc.
  2. They are. I just read it on an official thing on this website. It's complete ********* because they merged my two old servers to the same new server and now I cant use all my old guys. Now everyone gets the game for free but I gotta pay to make room for all my characters? **** this **** I'm out of here.
  3. They've made some bad decisions. My group of friends who play all had to reroll on different servers due to declining population. Now we come back at server merge and our 2 old servers merge to the same new one. There aren't enough character slots to bring all our new guys over, and no room to make a new character. This drove most of them away until they add more character slots. I went ahead and leveled a guy to 50 on a new server. Doing pvp now and I gotta say it feels like a ridiculous grind for war hero gear. I'm completely worthless in recruit armor as a juggeranut and am not having any fun griding it out for battlemaster.
  4. Population got low on my original server so I had to start over on a new one. Population got low on my new server so I had to quit. Come back to finally play since they added transfers and legacy system, and now my two servers merge to a single new one. There aren't enough character slots to transfer all my characters over and I have no room to create any new guys. I swear it's like they don't want me to play....
  5. I've played a powertech and vanguard to 50. Tried every build out there extensively. I find a heavy tank build to be most effective in most scenarios, and most valuable to my team. 25% shield chance, 76% armor, 13% raw damage reduction, 6% absorbtion, rocket jump, 3 second root and guard just gives too much staying power and utility to pass up.
  6. I played a jedi guardian to 45, a powertech to 50, and a vanguard to 43. All full tank. I'll be more detailed if you want, but to put it as simply as possible: Powertechs are way better at holding aggro, and Juggernauts are way better at staying alive via their 'OH ****' damage reduction/defense abilities.
  7. I've played a powertech to 50 and a vanguard to mid 40's. Here's the build I used most of the time: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301GoGrdRrogzZMcb.1 I go for Shield Rating>Shield Absorbtion>Defense Rating, and stack as many damage reduction talents as I can. I personally find ablative upgrades and ion screen more valuable than Jet speed. I love the cooldown on kolto overload becaues it makes the cooldown the same as your energy shield. I like to use these both at the same time when I'm taking heavy damage as sort of an 'oh ****' button like guardians/juggs have. I also stack all the tanking (+END) gear and use biochem. Despite the heavy tanking build, I've never even come close to losing a fair 1v1 fight with this build. I've never done the math on anything, this is just what has worked best for me in a heavy tanking/pvp combo and I love it. 9+ commendations a warzone are pretty easy if you do effective AOE and guarding. ------------------------- Even though jet charge is my favorite ability, I personally disagree with 21 point shield tech builds. In my experience, it's better to go all the way heat blast, or focus on another tree instead. I dont feel like you get enough with oil slick and the intermediary abilities to sotp at 21, and there is too much to gain with that extra 10% shield chance and heat blast. ------------- Here is my second favorite build (which you might like best): http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301GoMMZMsrrobfkds.1 It's basicaly 31 in advanced prototype that uses Ion cylinder instead of High energy cylinder. You get a huge boost to damage while still being able to guard and do some tanking. The downside here is it's harder to manage heat without prototype cylinder ventilation. I find the extra survivability and ability to guard to be worth the trade off.

  10. didnt read your post but my first character was a jedi shadow and i actually rerolled because i hated C2-N2's voice so much. then of course when i got my ship on my trooper i realized everyone has to deal with him. nooooooooooooooooooo!
  11. i didnt read any of your post but just thought i'd say im playing on a 27" imac i7 with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit via bootcamp and it, and all other games i own work just fine and dandy
  12. I just played a trooper for the first time today after playing a bounty hunter all through beta and early access. I got on here because I immediately noticed both of these issues/differences between BH and trooper today. Glad to see you guys are aware of it. It really feels like fairly big handicap after having played both classes. Hope they fix it soon.
  13. the male character models are killing it for me. there's no good athletic build. body type 2 is too scrawny and awkward looking, and body type 3 is way too big to take seriously.

  15. poop shower eat a full meal watch the forums for 24+ hours reload launcher over and over
  16. the starting zones are instanced. there's a hutta 1, hutta 2, hutta 3, etc. they keep it small on purpose.
