you aren't gonna be laughing when you go the shop and see that you can pay 500 cartel points for a 50m range, 30% health damage shot on a 20 minute cooldown.

not sure if mmo's count but: 1. EverQuest 2. Fallout 2 3. Ocarina of Time 4. KOTOR 5. Morrowind

this game has some of the worst character customization ever. i just dont understand how they approved it as is.

1. Game is way, way too easy. 2. No immersion: Everything is streamlined. Quests show you exactly where to go. Maps are too linear. Too much instancing. Most NPCs/creatures just stand still. Not enough star wars music. All spaceports look the same. Too much fast travel. Could go on all day about this one. 3. PVP: I dont like expertise. Gear gap is too big. Open world PVP is bad. Too many stuns. Not too impressed with PVP match types. 4. Game design: Terrible and ugly character customization. Most armor looks like a jump suit. Terrible map layouts. I personally like a more 'realistic' type of game, for example, I think most classes have too many 'super' powers. I don't like seeing force lightning at level 2. I think flamethrowers and and rockets should be actual pieces of equipment with large cooldowns or actual ammunition. Stuff like that. 5. Server population and the way they've handled it: They merged servers way too late. I played on a server that had about 12 people on the fleet most of the time. It had 2 people on it when I unsubbed the first time. I came back at mergers, and the two servers I played on both merged to the same new one. I didnt have enough character slots to bring all my guys over, and also couldnt create a new character. I stick around because it's star wars and im a huge star wars nerd. If this game wasn't star wars themed I wouldnt be here and wouldnt have bought the game in the first place.

I just started playing again after a while, but I've got 3 50's. PvP gear gap seems huge to me. I feel like I'm forced to play at a severe disadvantage (to the point of feeling like I cost my team wins due to my gear) until I can get mostly battlemaster or war hero gear. It seems worse for some classes than others. Stealth classes can still be effective at warzones by focusing on objectives rather than kills, and ranged classes can use good positioning and line of sight to stay in the fight, but my juggernaut in recruit gear is virtually worhtless. I can't come close to the damage of those in better gear and my survivability is lackluster no matter the build. I'm usually dead before the first or second stun wears off. I've never noticed it being close to this bad before the big game update(s), not even early in release when 50's warzoned with all level players. It just isn't fun. I often see people quitting or complaining before the match even starts when they see X number of people on our team aren't geared. The gap is too big.

I think this game failed hard and I love to bash it, but the four times I've used group finder I always found a group in no more than 5 minutes. Small sample size, but it always worked out great and i'm surprised so many people don't like it.

the problem isnt the subscription pay method. 2 million+ people bought this game expecting to pay $15 a month. they all left cuz the game sucks, not because they suddenly decided the pricing model was bad.

If you take away the Star Wars theme, the only real thing this game has going for it is the voice overs. It's pretty much a clone of everything else with no innovation.

yeah they need all the stuff you listed. they needed it at launch. it seems especially stupid they dont have pazak when the other games do. that could have taken on a life of its own.

i wish they made swtor 3 but they seriously need a new formula. i'm sick of the travel to 3 or 4 locations on a map thing they're always doing. give me open world.

F2P in less than a year is epic fail. These mmo guys failed at running a traditional mmo. They gonna suck even more at trying F2P.

Yeah but the prostitute used to only deal with you and a few select others, but since she's having a hard time paying the bills she decides to have sex with anyone and everyone in the hopes that they buy her coffee. The problem is, as she gets more and more coffee, she gets more and more expensive tastes. And eventually the coffee place you liked to go to isnt good enough anymore. She only likes the coffee place this other guy takes her too, so now you gotta buy her better coffee just to keep up. Next thing you know, coffee isnt enough and she wants this and that. and eventually she has become so deluded you dont even recognize her anymore and so you gotta go have sex with someone else instead.

Oh, well in that case I'd just unsub and quit.

I'd be willing to bet F2P only gets you 1 or 2 slots. You probably gotta keep paying if you want to use all your guys.

I would not subscribe when the game and all the content you need to be competitive is free (or so they say).

It would be if they were ever going to add more voice over stories. But they aren't. This is the end of SWTOR as we know it. It will now turn into a money grab that tries to suck as much cash out of the F2P market as it can before it ultimately fails.

yeah my main guy is a zabrak juggernaut with white skin and the hair with that pony tail thing sticking up. he looks completely ****** and everyone tells me so all the time. i'm glad i made him the way i did cuz i think most characters look stupid.
