  1. I love my infiltration shadow and I realized very early on that in PvP, there's some targets I just let slide on by... I'm ok with that.
  2. Happened to me yesterday. Flying into an existent game on VoidStar and the game kicked me before I could get out.
  3. For anyone that thinks BW draws out missions (quests), then you've never played a Turbine game. Go to the furtherest reaches of the game world and deliver a ring and then be told to go to the furtherest reaches of the game world in the other direction to tell the quest giver that the guy that received the ring said thanks. And guess what? You get to go back to the guy that received the ring to say the quest giver says "you're welcome". It can take hours; if you've not done that time after time after mind numbing time, you don't know what you're missing.
  4. I did the cutscene, was light 4 when I faced Syo, and used Theran. I redeemed him and did not get the rock falling scene. I shielded everyone throughout the storyline and didn't have a single dark side point (though apparently that doesn't matter). Theran seems especially close to Syo, but from reading the posts of some others here who didn't use Theran, that also doesn't seem to matter. I was 46 when I faced him and ding'ed 47 off completing that mission. I'm not certain what I did (or others did) that allowed us to redeem him and you not. Sorry.
  5. I don't dislike the idea. I used to be an Anti in UO and I hunted bountied Murderers (it was a fun part of the game). I'm only saying that for a system like this to work (and not enrich the guy with the bounty on his head), then death must have consequence. I dunno, if not like UO, where stat loss was the consequence, then maybe if the guy with the bounty dies, the funds for paying the bounty come out of his own bank account?
  6. Personally, I report every exploiter I see. I'm sure BW is getting tired of hearing from me. I signed up for the 6 month sub and I'll stick around that long to see if BW takes action against the hackers. If they don't I'll leave. That's not a threat of any sort, it's just a statement of fact. I won't pay to play in a game where cheaters are tolerated by the gaming company.
  7. What is being done to address the hackers? What I think a lot of them are doing is using the hacks for their 3 WZ daily wins and then going legit for the rest of their play. The changes in their play from one WZ to the next is dramatic. The biggest issue is the one that lets them zip across the screen in an instant.

  9. This system used to exist in Ultima Online. In the beginning, UO was open world PvP and innocents killed by another player had the option of placing a bounty on the murderer. Problem was that when the bounty got high enough, the murderer just had his buddy kill him and they split the bounty. This was addressed in UO by making murderers suffer stat loss if they died. I don't see how you could avoid this issue in SW:TOR. Maybe if BW instituted a system where if you die under bounty you lose valor? No idea...that's why I'm not a game designer.

  11. As long as there as bugs that kick people out of WZ's (i.e., the missing bikes in Civil War) then no, penalizing players for leaving a WZ through no fault of thier own is wrong.

    Question about PvP Bug

    Any ideas from anyone on how to avoid this? Othen than don't die?
  13. I forget the name of the particular WZ but it's the one where you capture the gun turrents to shoot down the opposing warship. On two occassions this weekend, after dying and spawning back at entrance, there is no bike to get on. No bike at all and it results in the WZ kicking you because you can't leave the starting area. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there any workaround at all?
  14. Last night I completed a re-spec immediately before going into a WZ (immediately as in the countdown timer was up as I was confirming the changes). And of course, a number of my skills reset on my hotbars...pop into WZ, talk about embarrassing. If you've re-spec'ed make sure all the skills are still in the same places on your hotbars.
  15. Will the Shadow Project skill be made instant like our mirror's instant cast? Right now, an enemy can vanish while we're casting project and leave the rocks floating in air. It's a distinct class imbalance.

  17. I've completed Class Story on Tat and it sends you to your ship to use Holo. When I click on the holo, it goes to the cut away scene and I'm standing there with my companions beside me and nothing happens. We just stand there indefinitely. Since it's a cut away, can't even access game controls. Two questions: 1) Is this a known bug? 2) Is there a work around? I've bugged it, repaired the game, and last night even completely reloaded the game. No luck so far. Don't know if it bears on it but the splash screen says I've moved on to Alderaan but I've not yet since I'm stuck on my ship. Also, on planet before Tat I was given both quests, one for Tat and the other for Alderaan at the same time. Was that supposed to happen?
