  1. yeah I created a thread about this too. not sure why it happens or doesn't happen. i've been told resetting your UI by ctrl+u helps but I dunno
  2. anybody else encounter this where the speeder will be glitched when you respawn and not appear? ctrl+u twice to fix the UI doesn't help. another bug i've encountered is when you hit the speeder to go but it doesn't move you anywhere you and you get stuck. /stuck sometimes works anyone?
  3. blue or greens but yeah you're somewhat right. best starting point would be those 118 rating ones.
  4. yeah you either crit regular missions, buy the crafting missions off the GTN, slice the mission, or buy the mats off the GTN. on my server the crafting missions are going for around 25-30k and provide enough mats to cover the cost of buying them.
  5. ran it last night and we had a well geared group. burned him down quick and then spent about 1 full minute before succeeding in knocking his *** down. was a result of us sucking at knockbacks though. wasn't bugged. the jindo/ship fight has been kinda glitchy though.
  6. lol @ people thinking SWTOR has a significant impact. EA has ~3.5-4 billion in revenue per year. 2 million @ 60 is 120 million in box sales and estimate another 100-200 million in subscription revenue per year. that's still less than 10% of overall revenues (although I expect that their revenue would rise with SWTOR sales, as it is a new revenue stream). is SWTOR material to their financial results? yes, but not enough to significantly affect their stock price.
  7. For people trying to speculate on the date of the 2.1 million bought and 1.7 million subscribers, I would bet a substantial amount of money that the number is not as of today nor would it be as of the calendar year-end. It is likely from a week or so ago due to limitations in building the data set and having it reviewed prior to being publicly disseminated.
  8. As a chartered accountant (Canadian CPA equivalent) that works in financial reporting. Whenever a company releases information into the public domain such as subscribers etc. it has to be supportable by hard data and has been vetted through several layers of review. The penalties for releasing misleading or false information into the public domain is severe, thus public companies (especially one as large as EA) has a lot to lose by slipping up. HOWEVER, a company will only choose to release information that will give them the best light possible (unless its compulsory by law). Any information that you're getting has already been spun, but you can rest assured that the spun information would be supportable by hard data. You also typically have to take spun data with a grain of salt and try and read between the lines as others have done (i.e. the 1.7 figure is composed of free first monthers and credit card accounts)
  9. considering with about 1 minute of moving, another minute of loading and you can get to any planet you want to, and quick travel to any place that you're bound to, that beats the heck out of flying somewhere for 5 minutes on a transport
  10. about to hit 49. somewhat casual gamer at least MMO wise. in a guild with 250ish members (incl alts). enjoying the game for what it is. there are some bugs i've encountered i.e. alderran warzone where speeders can disappear or I get stuck in the warzone. frustrating yes, could be considered a game-breaking bug, but whatever, deal with it. i'm having fun with the variety of pvp you can do, i.e. capture the flag, king of the hill, and whatever you call alderran. a new variety of game would be good to implement but i'm not sure what that would look like. am subbed for another 6 months.
  11. +1. patch notes clearly have no mention of ANY bug fixes.
  12. I honestly have to LOL at people who unsub over the most inane things.
  13. if he were a goldman analyst, he wouldn't have time to be level 50.
